Deteronòm 5
1 Moyiz fè tout pèp Izrayèl la sanble, epi li di yo: -Nou menm pèp Izrayèl, koute lòd ak kòmandman m’ap fè nou tande jòdi a. Aprann yo byen. Pa janm bliye yo pou nou ka toujou fè tou sa yo mande nou fè.
2 Seyè a, Bondye nou an, te siyen yon kontra ak nou sou Mòn Orèb la.
3 Se pa t’ avèk zansèt nou yo sèlman Seyè a te pase kontra a, men avèk nou menm tou, nou tout k’ap viv isit la jòdi a.
4 Bondye te rete sou mòn lan, nan mitan dife a. Li te pale ak nou fas pou fas.
5 Lè sa a, mwen menm mwen te kanpe nan mitan, Seyè a yon bò, nou menm yon bò, pou m’ te rapòte nou tout pawòl Seyè a te di, paske nou te pè dife a, nou pa t’ vle moute sou mòn lan. Men sa Seyè a te di:
6 Se mwen menm, Seyè a, Bondye nou an, ki te fè nou soti kite peyi Lejip kote nou te esklav la.
7 Piga nou sèvi lòt bondye pase mwen menm sèlman.
8 Piga nou janm fè ankenn estati ni ankenn pòtre ki sanble bagay ki anwo nan syèl la osinon bagay ki sou latè ou ankò nan dlo anba tè a.
9 Piga nou adore yo, ni piga nou sèvi yo. Paske, mwen menm Seyè a, Bondye nou an, mwen se yon Bondye ki fè jalouzi anpil. Lè yon moun rayi m’, mwen fè pitit li, pitit pitit li ak pitit pitit pitit li yo peye sa.
10 Men, lè yon moun renmen m’, lè li fè sa m’ mande l’ fè, m’ap moutre l’ jan moun renmen l’ tou ansanm ak tout pitit pitit li yo pandan mil jenerasyon.
11 Piga nou janm nonmen non Seyè a, Bondye nou an, an jwèt osinon pou bay manti, paske mwen menm, Seyè a, Bondye nou an, mwen p’ap manke pini moun ki nonmen non m’ pou gremesi.
12 Toujou chonje jou repo a pou nou mete l’ apa pou Bondye, jan mwen menm Seyè a, Bondye nou an, te ban nou lòd fè l’ la.
13 N’a travay sis jou. Lè sa a, n’a fè tou sa nou gen pou nou fè.
14 Men, setyèm jou a, se jou repo Seyè a, Bondye nou an. Jou sa a, nou p’ap fè ankenn travay, ni nou menm, ni pitit gason nou, ni pitit fi nou, ni fanm ni gason k’ap travay lakay nou, ni bèf nou, ni bourik nou, ni ankenn nan lòt bèt nou genyen, ni moun lòt nasyon ki rete lakay nou. Konsa, ni fanm ni gason k’ap travay lakay nou ka pran repo menm jan ak nou.
15 N’a toujou chonje se esklav nou te ye nan peyi Lejip la. E se mwen menm, Seyè a, Bondye nou an, ki te vin delivre nou ak fòs ponyèt mwen, ak gwo kouraj mwen. Se poutèt sa, Seyè a, Bondye nou an, te pase nou lòd pou nou pa bliye jou repo a.
16 Respekte manman nou ak papa nou jan Seyè a, Bondye nou an, te pase nou lòd la, pou nou ka viv lontan ak kè kontan nan peyi Seyè a, Bondye nou an, te ban nou.
17 Piga nou janm touye moun.
18 Piga nou janm fè adiltè.
19 Piga nou janm pran sa ki pa pou nou.
20 Piga nou janm fè manti sou frè parèy nou nan tribinal.
21 Piga nou janm pote lanvi sou madanm frè parèy nou. Pa mete lide nou ni sou kay li, ni sou jaden li, ni sou gason osinon fanm k’ap travay lakay li, ni sou bèf li, ni sou bourik li, ni sou anyen ki pou frè parèy nou.
22 Men pawòl Seyè a te di nou lè nou tout nou te sanble sou mòn lan. Li te rete nan mitan dife a, anndan gwo nwaj nwa a, li pale byen fò ak nou. Li pa di anyen ankò apre sa. Li ekri kòmandman sa yo sou de wòch plat, epi li ban mwen yo.
23 Men, lè pèp la tande bri vwa ki t’ap soti nan nwaj nwa a, lè yo wè mòn lan ki t’ap pran dife, yo vin jwenn mwen ansanm ak tout chèf branch fanmi yo ak tout chèf fanmi yo.
24 Yo di m’ konsa: -Koulye a, nou wè Seyè a, Bondye nou an. Nou wè jan li gen pouvwa, jan li merite yo fè lwanj li. Nou tande vwa l’ ap pale nan mitan dife a. Jòdi a nou wè tout bon vre Bondye ka pale ak moun san yo pa mouri pou sa.
25 Bon. Koulye a, poukisa pou n’ al riske tèt nou ankò avèk gwo dife sa a ki ka kankannen nou? Eske nou p’ap mouri si nou tande vwa Seyè a, Bondye nou an, ap pale yon lòt fwa ankò?
26 Eske gen moun sou latè ki ka rete vivan toujou lè yo fin tande Bondye tout bon an rete nan mitan dife pou pale ak yo, jan sa te rive nou an?
27 Ou mèt pwoche ou menm, pou ou tande tou sa Seyè a, Bondye nou an, va di. Apre sa, w’a tounen vin di nou sa li te di ou. N’a koute ou, epi n’a fè tou sa l’ di nou fè.
28 Seyè a te tande sa nou te di a, li di m’ konsa: Mwen tande sa pèp la di la a. Yo gen rezon.
29 Mwen ta swete yo toujou gen bon santiman nan kè yo pou yo ka gen krentif pou mwen, pou yo kenbe lòd mwen yo, konsa yo ta viv ak kè kontan tout tan, ni yo menm ni pitit yo.
30 Ale di yo yo mèt tounen anba tant yo.
31 Men ou menm, ou va rete isit la avè m’. M’a ba ou tout kòmandman, tout lòd ak tout prensip pou ou moutre yo pou yo ka swiv yo nan peyi m’ap ba yo a.
32 Veye kò nou pou nou viv jan Seyè a, Bondye nou an, te mande nou viv la. Pa vire ni adwat ni agoch.
33 N’a mache dwat nan chemen Bondye nou an, Seyè a, mete devan nou an. Se konsa n’a gen lavi, n’a gen kè kontan. N’a viv lontan nan peyi nou pral pran pou nou rete a.

Deuteronome 5
1 Moïse convoqua tout Israël, et leur dit: Écoute, Israël, les lois et les ordonnances que je vous fais entendre aujourd’hui. Apprenez-les, et mettez-les soigneusement en pratique.
2 L’Éternel, notre Dieu, a traité avec nous une alliance à Horeb.
3 Ce n’est point avec nos pères que l’Éternel a traité cette alliance; c’est avec nous, qui sommes ici aujourd’hui, tous vivants.
4 L’Éternel vous parla face à face sur la montagne, du milieu du feu.
5 Je me tins alors entre l’Éternel et vous, pour vous annoncer la parole de l’Éternel; car vous aviez peur du feu, et vous ne montâtes point sur la montagne. Il dit:
6 Je suis l’Éternel, ton Dieu, qui t’ai fait sortir du pays d’Égypte, de la maison de servitude.
7 Tu n’auras point d’autres dieux devant ma face.
8 Tu ne te feras point d’image taillée, de représentation quelconque des choses qui sont en haut dans les cieux, qui sont en bas sur la terre, et qui sont dans les eaux plus bas que la terre.
9 Tu ne te prosterneras point devant elles, et tu ne les serviras point; car moi, l’Éternel, ton Dieu, je suis un Dieu jaloux, qui punis l’iniquité des pères sur les enfants jusqu’à la troisième et à la quatrième génération de ceux qui me haïssent,
10 et qui fais miséricorde jusqu’en mille générations à ceux qui m’aiment et qui gardent mes commandements.
11 Tu ne prendras point le nom de l’Éternel, ton Dieu, en vain; car l’Éternel ne laissera point impuni celui qui prendra son nom en vain.
12 Observe le jour du repos, pour le sanctifier, comme l’Éternel, ton Dieu, te l’a ordonné.
13 Tu travailleras six jours, et tu feras tout ton ouvrage.
14 Mais le septième jour est le jour du repos de l’Éternel, ton Dieu: tu ne feras aucun ouvrage, ni toi, ni ton fils, ni ta fille, ni ton serviteur, ni ta servante, ni ton boeuf, ni ton âne, ni aucune de tes bêtes, ni l’étranger qui est dans tes portes, afin que ton serviteur et ta servante se reposent comme toi.
15 Tu te souviendras que tu as été esclave au pays d’Égypte, et que l’Éternel, ton Dieu, t’en a fait sortir à main forte et à bras étendu: c’est pourquoi l’Éternel, ton Dieu, t’a ordonné d’observer le jour du repos.
16 Honore ton père et ta mère, comme l’Éternel, ton Dieu, te l’a ordonné, afin que tes jours se prolongent et que tu sois heureux dans le pays que l’Éternel, ton Dieu, te donne.
17 Tu ne tueras point.
18 Tu ne commettras point d’adultère.
19 Tu ne déroberas point.
20 Tu ne porteras point de faux témoignage contre ton prochain.
21 Tu ne convoiteras point la femme de ton prochain; tu ne désireras point la maison de ton prochain, ni son champ, ni son serviteur, ni sa servante, ni son boeuf, ni son âne, ni aucune chose qui appartienne à ton prochain.
22 Telles sont les paroles que prononça l’Éternel à haute voix sur la montagne, du milieu du feu, des nuées et de l’obscurité, et qu’il adressa à toute votre assemblée, sans rien ajouter. Il les écrivit sur deux tables de pierre, qu’il me donna.
23 Lorsque vous eûtes entendu la voix du milieu des ténèbres, et tandis que la montagne était tout en feu, vos chefs de tribus et vos anciens s’approchèrent tous de moi,
24 et vous dîtes: Voici, l’Éternel, notre Dieu, nous a montré sa gloire et sa grandeur, et nous avons entendu sa voix du milieu du feu; aujourd’hui, nous avons vu que Dieu a parlé à des hommes, et qu’ils sont demeurés vivants.
25 Et maintenant pourquoi mourrions-nous? car ce grand feu nous dévorera; si nous continuons à entendre la voix de l’Éternel, notre Dieu, nous mourrons.
26 Quel est l’homme, en effet, qui ait jamais entendu, comme nous, la voix du Dieu vivant parlant du milieu du feu, et qui soit demeuré vivant?
27 Approche, toi, et écoute tout ce que dira l’Éternel, notre Dieu; tu nous rapporteras toi-même tout ce que te dira l’Éternel, notre Dieu; nous l’écouterons, et nous le ferons.
28 L’Éternel entendit les paroles que vous m’adressâtes. Et l’Éternel me dit: J’ai entendu les paroles que ce peuple t’a adressées: tout ce qu’ils ont dit est bien.
29 Oh! s’ils avaient toujours ce même coeur pour me craindre et pour observer tous mes commandements, afin qu’ils fussent heureux à jamais, eux et leurs enfants!
30 Va, dis-leur: Retournez dans vos tentes.
31 Mais toi, reste ici avec moi, et je te dirai tous les commandements, les lois et les ordonnances, que tu leur enseigneras, afin qu’ils les mettent en pratique dans le pays dont je leur donne la possession.
32 Vous ferez avec soin ce que l’Éternel, votre Dieu, vous a ordonné; vous ne vous en détournerez ni à droite, ni à gauche.
33 Vous suivrez entièrement la voie que l’Éternel, votre Dieu, vous a prescrite, afin que vous viviez et que vous soyez heureux, afin que vous prolongiez vos jours dans le pays dont vous aurez la possession.

Deuteronomy 5
1 And Moses called all Israel, and said unto them, Hear, O Israel, the statutes and judgments which I speak in your ears this day, that ye may learn them, and keep, and do them.
2 The Lord our God made a covenant with us in Horeb.
3 The Lord made not this covenant with our fathers, but with us, even us, who are all of us here alive this day.
4 The Lord talked with you face to face in the mount out of the midst of the fire,
5 (I stood between the Lord and you at that time, to shew you the word of the Lord: for ye were afraid by reason of the fire, and went not up into the mount;) saying,
6 I am the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
7 Thou shalt have none other gods before me.
8 Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth:
9 Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me,
10 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments.
11 Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain: for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
12 Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee.
13 Six days thou shalt labour, and do all thy work:
14 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.
15 And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the Lord thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the Lord thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.
16 Honour thy father and thy mother, as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee, in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
17 Thou shalt not kill.
18 Neither shalt thou commit adultery.
19 Neither shalt thou steal.
20 Neither shalt thou bear false witness against thy neighbour.
21 Neither shalt thou desire thy neighbour’s wife, neither shalt thou covet thy neighbour’s house, his field, or his manservant, or his maidservant, his ox, or his ass, or any thing that is thy neighbour’s.
22 These words the Lord spake unto all your assembly in the mount out of the midst of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a great voice: and he added no more. And he wrote them in two tables of stone, and delivered them unto me.
23 And it came to pass, when ye heard the voice out of the midst of the darkness, (for the mountain did burn with fire,) that ye came near unto me, even all the heads of your tribes, and your elders;
24 And ye said, Behold, the Lord our God hath shewed us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire: we have seen this day that God doth talk with man, and he liveth.
25 Now therefore why should we die? for this great fire will consume us: if we hear the voice of the Lord our God any more, then we shall die.
26 For who is there of all flesh, that hath heard the voice of the living God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as we have, and lived?
27 Go thou near, and hear all that the Lord our God shall say: and speak thou unto us all that the Lord our God shall speak unto thee; and we will hear it, and do it.
28 And the Lord heard the voice of your words, when ye spake unto me; and the Lord said unto me, I have heard the voice of the words of this people, which they have spoken unto thee: they have well said all that they have spoken.
29 O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!
30 Go say to them, Get you into your tents again.
31 But as for thee, stand thou here by me, and I will speak unto thee all the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which thou shalt teach them, that they may do them in the land which I give them to possess it.
32 Ye shall observe to do therefore as the Lord your God hath commanded you: ye shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.
33 Ye shall walk in all the ways which the Lord your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess.
