Jòb 5
1 Rele non, Jòb! W’a wè si gen moun k’ap reponn ou! Ak kilès nan zanj Bondye yo ou ta vle pale?
2 Se moun fou ki kite chagren ap minen yo. Se moun sòt ki kite move san touye yo.
3 Mwen menm, mwen wè moun fou ki te kwè zafè yo bon. M’ rete konsa, mwen wè madichon tonbe sou kay yo.
4 Pitit yo pa ka jwenn yon moun pou pwoteje yo. Pa gen pesonn pou pran defans yo nan tribinal.
5 Se moun grangou ki pral manje rekòt jaden yo. Yo pral pran ata sa ki donnen nan raje pikan. Se moun akrèk ki pral mete men sou tout byen yo.
6 Non. Lafliksyon pa tonbe sou moun konsa konsa. Ni moun pa rete konsa pou l’ tonbe anba soufrans.
7 Menm jan tensèl dife fèt pou vole, konsa tou, moun fèt pou soufri.
8 Si m’ te nan plas ou, Job, se Bondye m’ ta rele. Mwen ta mete sitiyasyon an devan l’.
9 Se li menm ki fè yon bann bèl bagay nou pa ka fin konprann, yon dal mèvèy nou pa ka fin konte.
10 Li voye lapli sou latè, li wouze tout jaden.
11 Moun ki t’ap mache tèt bese yo, se li menm ki fè yo leve tèt yo. Se li menm ki konsole moun ki te nan lapenn yo.
12 Li gate mannigèt bakoulou yo. Li pa janm kite yo rive fè sa yo te mete nan tèt yo.
13 Li pran moun entelijan yo nan pèlen yo te tann. Li pa kite mètdam yo reyalize plan yo te fè.
14 Gwo lajounen y’ap bite tankou nan fènwa. Gwo midi, y’ap tatonnen tankou nan mitan lannwit.
15 Men, Bondye sove pòv la anba dan yo. Li delivre malere anba ponyèt grannèg k’ap peze yo.
16 Li bay pòv yo espwa. Li fèmen bouch mechan yo.
17 Ala bon sa bon pou yon moun lè Bondye ap korije l’! Lè Bondye ki gen tout pouvwa a ap pini ou, pa pran sa an jwèt!
18 Lè li blese ou, se li menm ankò k’ap mete renmèd pou ou. Lè li frape ou, se li menm ankò k’ap geri ou.
19 Lapo delivre ou nan tout move pa. Ankenn malè p’ap tonbe sou ou.
20 Nan grangou, li p’ap kite ou mouri. Nan lagè, li p’ap kite yo touye ou.
21 L’a pwoteje ou anba kout lang. Ou p’ap bezwen pè lè w’a wè gwo malè ap pwoche.
22 W’a pase ni malè ni grangou nan rizib. Ou p’ap pè bèt nan bwa.
23 Jaden w’ap travay yo p’ap gen wòch ladan yo. Bèt nan bwa p’ap janm atake ou.
24 Lè sa a, w’a viv ak kè poze lakay ou. Lè w’a vizite pak zannimo ou yo, w’a kontan.
25 W’a gen anpil pitit. Y’a pouse tankou plant nan jaden.
26 Menm jan se lè mayi fin mi yo kase l’, konsa tou se lè ou fin vye granmoun, w’a mouri.
27 Jòb monchè, nou te kalkile sou bagay sa yo anpil. Se konsa sa ye, tande. Pa fè tèt di. Asepte verite a.

Job 5
1 Crie maintenant! Qui te répondra? Auquel des saints t’adresseras-tu?
2 L’insensé périt dans sa colère, Le fou meurt dans ses emportements.
3 J’ai vu l’insensé prendre racine; Puis soudain j’ai maudit sa demeure.
4 Plus de prospérité pour ses fils; Ils sont foulés à la porte, et personne qui les délivre!
5 Sa moisson est dévorée par des affamés, Qui viennent l’enlever jusque dans les épines, Et ses biens sont engloutis par des hommes altérés.
6 Le malheur ne sort pas de la poussière, Et la souffrance ne germe pas du sol;
7 L’homme naît pour souffrir, Comme l’étincelle pour voler.
8 Pour moi, j’aurais recours à Dieu, Et c’est à Dieu que j’exposerais ma cause.
9 Il fait des choses grandes et insondables, Des merveilles sans nombre;
10 Il répand la pluie sur la terre, Et envoie l’eau sur les campagnes;
11 Il relève les humbles, Et délivre les affligés;
12 Il anéantit les projets des hommes rusés, Et leurs mains ne peuvent les accomplir;
13 Il prend les sages dans leur propre ruse, Et les desseins des hommes artificieux sont renversés:
14 Ils rencontrent les ténèbres au milieu du jour, Ils tâtonnent en plein midi comme dans la nuit.
15 Ainsi Dieu protège le faible contre leurs menaces, Et le sauve de la main des puissants;
16 Et l’espérance soutient le malheureux, Mais l’iniquité ferme la bouche.
17 Heureux l’homme que Dieu châtie! Ne méprise pas la correction du Tout Puissant.
18 Il fait la plaie, et il la bande; Il blesse, et sa main guérit.
19 Six fois il te délivrera de l’angoisse, Et sept fois le mal ne t’atteindra pas.
20 Il te sauvera de la mort pendant la famine, Et des coups du glaive pendant la guerre.
21 Tu seras à l’abri du fléau de la langue, Tu seras sans crainte quand viendra la dévastation.
22 Tu te riras de la dévastation comme de la famine, Et tu n’auras pas à redouter les bêtes de la terre;
23 Car tu feras alliance avec les pierres des champs, Et les bêtes de la terre seront en paix avec toi.
24 Tu jouiras du bonheur sous ta tente, Tu retrouveras tes troupeaux au complet,
25 Tu verras ta postérité s’accroître, Et tes rejetons se multiplier comme l’herbe des champs.
26 Tu entreras au sépulcre dans la vieillesse, Comme on emporte une gerbe en son temps.
27 Voilà ce que nous avons reconnu, voilà ce qui est; A toi d’entendre et de mettre à profit.

1 Call now, if there be any that will answer thee; and to which of the saints wilt thou turn?
2 For wrath killeth the foolish man, and envy slayeth the silly one.
3 I have seen the foolish taking root: but suddenly I cursed his habitation.
4 His children are far from safety, and they are crushed in the gate, neither is there any to deliver them.
5 Whose harvest the hungry eateth up, and taketh it even out of the thorns, and the robber swalloweth up their substance.
6 Although affliction cometh not forth of the dust, neither doth trouble spring out of the ground;
7 Yet man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward.
8 I would seek unto God, and unto God would I commit my cause:
9 Which doeth great things and unsearchable; marvellous things without number:
10 Who giveth rain upon the earth, and sendeth waters upon the fields:
11 To set up on high those that be low; that those which mourn may be exalted to safety.
12 He disappointeth the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise.
13 He taketh the wise in their own craftiness: and the counsel of the froward is carried headlong.
14 They meet with darkness in the day time, and grope in the noonday as in the night.
15 But he saveth the poor from the sword, from their mouth, and from the hand of the mighty.
16 So the poor hath hope, and iniquity stoppeth her mouth.
17 Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty:
18 For he maketh sore, and bindeth up: he woundeth, and his hands make whole.
19 He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee.
20 In famine he shall redeem thee from death: and in war from the power of the sword.
21 Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue: neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it cometh.
22 At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh: neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth.
23 For thou shalt be in league with the stones of the field: and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with thee.
24 And thou shalt know that thy tabernacle shall be in peace; and thou shalt visit thy habitation, and shalt not sin.
25 Thou shalt know also that thy seed shall be great, and thine offspring as the grass of the earth.
26 Thou shalt come to thy grave in a full age, like as a shock of corn cometh in in his season.
27 Lo this, we have searched it, so it is; hear it, and know thou it for thy good.
