5 Li rive nan yon bouk Samari yo rele Sika, toupre moso tè Jakòb te bay Jozèf, pitit gason l’ lan.
6 Se la pi Jakòb la te ye. Jezi menm te bouke, vwayaj la te fatige l’ anpil. Li chita sou rebò pi a. Li te bò midi konsa.
7 Yon fanm peyi Samari vin pou tire dlo. Jezi di l’ konsa: Tanpri, ban m’ ti gout dlo pou m’ bwè.
8 (Disip li yo te ale lavil la achte manje.)
9 Fanm Samari a di Jezi konsa: Kouman? Se pa jwif ou ye? Ki jan ou fè mande m’ dlo pou ou bwè, mwen menm ki moun Samari? (Paske, jwif yo pa t’ gen rapò ak moun Samari.)
10 Jezi reponn li: Si ou te konnen sa Bondye bay la, si ou te konnen ki moun k’ap mande ou ti gout dlo pou bwè a, se ou menm ki ta mande l’ ba ou ti gout dlo bwè. Lè sa a, li ta ka ba ou nan dlo ki bay lavi a.
11 Fanm lan di li: Msye, ou pa gen veso pou tire dlo. Epitou, pi a fon anpil. Ki bò pou ou ta jwenn dlo ki bay lavi sa a?
12 Se Jakòb, zansèt nou, ki te ban nou pi sa a. Li te bwè ladan li. Tout pitit li yo ansanm ak tout bèt li yo, se la yo te bwè tou. Koulye a, ou prèt pou di m’ ou pi gran pase Jakòb?
13 Jezi reponn li: Tout moun ki bwè dlo sa a gen pou l’ swaf dlo ankò.
14 Men, moun ki va bwè nan dlo m’ap ba li a, li p’ap janm swaf dlo ankò. Paske, dlo m’ap ba li a ap tounen yon sous dlo nan li k’ap ba li lavi ki p’ap janm fini an.
15 Fanm lan di l’: Tanpri, msye, ban m’ ti gout nan dlo sa a non pou m’ bwè, konsa mwen p’ap janm anvi bwè dlo ankò, mwen p’ap bezwen tounen isit la vin tire dlo.

19 Lè sa a, fanm lan di l’: Gen lè ou se yon pwofèt, msye?
20 Zansèt nou yo nan peyi Samari te sèvi Bondye sou mòn sa a. Men nou menm jwif, nou di: Sèl kote pou moun sèvi Bondye, se lavil Jerizalèm.
21 Jezi reponn li: Madanm, ou mèt kwè mwen. Lè a pral rive, se pa ni sou mòn sa a, ni lavil Jerizalèm pou n’ sèvi Papa a.
22 Nou menm, moun Samari, nou pa konnen sa n’ap sèvi a. Nou menm jwif, nou konnen sa n’ap sèvi a, paske moun k’ap vin pou sove a, se nan mitan jwif yo l’ap soti.
23 Men, lè a ap rive, li rive deja: tout moun k’ap sèvi tout bon yo pral sèvi Papa a nan kè yo jan sa dwe fèt. Se moun konsa Bondye vle pou sèvi li.
24 Bondye, se Lespri li ye. Tout moun k’ap sèvi l’, se pou yo sèvi l’ nan lespri yo jan sa dwe fèt la.
25 Fanm lan di li: Mwen konnen Mesi a, moun yo rele Kris la, gen pou l’ vini tou. Lè la vini, la esplike nou tout bagay sa yo.
26 Jezi reponn li: Mwen menm k’ap pale avè ou la a, mwen se Kris la.
27 Lè sa a, disip Jezi yo vin rive. Yo te sezi wè l’ ap pale ak yon fanm. Men, yo yonn pa mande l’: Kisa ou gen avèk li? Osinon: Poukisa w’ap pale avè li?
28 Fanm lan menm kite krich dlo a la, li tounen li al lavil la. Li di moun yo:
29 Vini wè yon nonm ki di m’ tou sa m’ fè. Eske nou pa kwè se Kris la?
30 Moun yo soti lavil la, yo vin jwenn Jezi.
31 Disip yo menm, bò pa yo, t’ap mande Jezi pou l’ manje. Yo t’ap di l’: Tanpri, Mèt, manje kichòy non!
32 Men, li reponn yo: Mwen gen pou m’ manje yon manje nou pa konnen.
33 Lè sa a, disip yo yonn pran mande lòt: Gen lè yon moun pote manje ba li.

38 Mwen voye nou ranmase nan yon jaden nou pa t’ travay. Se lòt moun ki te travay li. Men, se nou menm k’ap pwofite travay yo.
39 Anpil moun Samari ki te rete nan Sika te kwè nan Jezi poutèt sa madanm lan te di yo: Li di m’ tou sa m’ fè.
40 Se konsa, lè yo rive bò kote li, yo mande l’ pou l’ rete avèk yo. Jezi pase de jou nan lavil la.

43 Lè Jezi fin pase de jou sa yo la, li pati, li ale nan peyi Galile.
44 Paske, se Jezi menm ki te di: Yo pa janm respekte yon pwofèt nan peyi kote l’ soti.
45 Lè li rive nan Galile, moun Galile yo te byen resevwa l’, paske yo menm tou yo te al lavil Jerizalèm pou fèt Delivrans lan, yo te wè tou sa li te fè lè sa a.
46 Apre sa, Jezi tounen vin Kana nan Galile, kote li te fè dlo tounen diven an. Nan lavil la te gen yon gwo fonksyonè leta ki te gen yon pitit gason l’ ki te malad nan yon lòt lavil yo rele Kapènawòm.
47 Lè li vin konnen Jezi te soti peyi Jide vin nan peyi Galile, li al jwenn li, li mande l’ pou li al Kapènawòm geri pitit li a ki te prèt pou mouri.
48 Jezi di l’ konsa: Si nou pa wè mirak ak bèl bagay, nou p’ap janm kwè.
49 Fonksyonè a reponn li: Mèt, vin avè m’ non, anvan pitit mwen an gen tan mouri.
50 Jezi di li: Ou mèt al lakay ou. Pitit ou a p’ap mouri. Nonm lan kwè sa Jezi te di l’ la, li ale.
51 Li te sou wout lakay li toujou lè domestik li yo vin jwenn li avèk nouvèl sa a: Pitit ou a pa mouri.
52 Li mande yo: Kilè ti gason an refè? Yo reponn li: Yè apremidi, bò enè konsa, lafyèb la tonbe.
53 Papa a vin rekonèt se te lè sa a menm Jezi te di l’: Pitit gason ou lan p’ap mouri. Se konsa li menm ansanm ak tout moun lakay li yo kwè nan Jezi.
54 Sa te fè dezyèm mirak Jezi te fè lè l’ tounen soti Jide vini nan peyi Galile.

1 Le Seigneur sut que les pharisiens avaient appris qu’il faisait et baptisait plus de disciples que Jean.
2 Toutefois Jésus ne baptisait pas lui-même, mais c’étaient ses disciples.
3 Alors il quitta la Judée, et retourna en Galilée.
4 Comme il fallait qu’il passât par la Samarie,
5 il arriva dans une ville de Samarie, nommée Sychar, près du champ que Jacob avait donné à Joseph, son fils.
6 Là se trouvait le puits de Jacob. Jésus, fatigué du voyage, était assis au bord du puits. C’était environ la sixième heure.
7 Une femme de Samarie vint puiser de l’eau. Jésus lui dit: Donne-moi à boire.
8 Car ses disciples étaient allés à la ville pour acheter des vivres.
9 La femme samaritaine lui dit: Comment toi, qui es Juif, me demandes-tu à boire, à moi qui suis une femme samaritaine? -Les Juifs, en effet, n’ont pas de relations avec les Samaritains. –
10 Jésus lui répondit: Si tu connaissais le don de Dieu et qui est celui qui te dit: Donne-moi à boire! tu lui aurais toi-même demandé à boire, et il t’aurait donné de l’eau vive.
11 Seigneur, lui dit la femme, tu n’as rien pour puiser, et le puits est profond; d’où aurais-tu donc cette eau vive?
12 Es-tu plus grand que notre père Jacob, qui nous a donné ce puits, et qui en a bu lui-même, ainsi que ses fils et ses troupeaux?
13 Jésus lui répondit: Quiconque boit de cette eau aura encore soif;
14 mais celui qui boira de l’eau que je lui donnerai n’aura jamais soif, et l’eau que je lui donnerai deviendra en lui une source d’eau qui jaillira jusque dans la vie éternelle.
15 La femme lui dit: Seigneur, donne-moi cette eau, afin que je n’aie plus soif, et que je ne vienne plus puiser ici.
16 Va, lui dit Jésus, appelle ton mari, et viens ici.
17 La femme répondit: Je n’ai point de mari. Jésus lui dit: Tu as eu raison de dire: Je n’ai point de mari.
18 Car tu as eu cinq maris, et celui que tu as maintenant n’est pas ton mari. En cela tu as dit vrai.
19 Seigneur, lui dit la femme, je vois que tu es prophète.
20 Nos pères ont adoré sur cette montagne; et vous dites, vous, que le lieu où il faut adorer est à Jérusalem.
21 Femme, lui dit Jésus, crois-moi, l’heure vient où ce ne sera ni sur cette montagne ni à Jérusalem que vous adorerez le Père.
22 Vous adorez ce que vous ne connaissez pas; nous, nous adorons ce que nous connaissons, car le salut vient des Juifs.
23 Mais l’heure vient, et elle est déjà venue, où les vrais adorateurs adoreront le Père en esprit et en vérité; car ce sont là les adorateurs que le Père demande.
24 Dieu est Esprit, et il faut que ceux qui l’adorent l’adorent en esprit et en vérité.
25 La femme lui dit: Je sais que le Messie doit venir (celui qu’on appelle Christ); quand il sera venu, il nous annoncera toutes choses.
26 Jésus lui dit: Je le suis, moi qui te parle.
27 Là-dessus arrivèrent ses disciples, qui furent étonnés de ce qu’il parlait avec une femme. Toutefois aucun ne dit: Que demandes-tu? ou: De quoi parles-tu avec elle?
28 Alors la femme, ayant laissé sa cruche, s’en alla dans la ville, et dit aux gens:
29 Venez voir un homme qui m’a dit tout ce que j’ai fait; ne serait-ce point le Christ?
30 Ils sortirent de la ville, et ils vinrent vers lui.
31 Pendant ce temps, les disciples le pressaient de manger, disant: Rabbi, mange.
32 Mais il leur dit: J’ai à manger une nourriture que vous ne connaissez pas.
33 Les disciples se disaient donc les uns aux autres: Quelqu’un lui aurait-il apporté à manger?
34 Jésus leur dit: Ma nourriture est de faire la volonté de celui qui m’a envoyé, et d’accomplir son oeuvre.
35 Ne dites-vous pas qu’il y a encore quatre mois jusqu’à la moisson? Voici, je vous le dis, levez les yeux, et regardez les champs qui déjà blanchissent pour la moisson.
36 Celui qui moissonne reçoit un salaire, et amasse des fruits pour la vie éternelle, afin que celui qui sème et celui qui moissonne se réjouissent ensemble.
37 Car en ceci ce qu’on dit est vrai: Autre est celui qui sème, et autre celui qui moissonne.
38 Je vous ai envoyés moissonner ce que vous n’avez pas travaillé; d’autres ont travaillé, et vous êtes entrés dans leur travail.
39 Plusieurs Samaritains de cette ville crurent en Jésus à cause de cette déclaration formelle de la femme: Il m’a dit tout ce que j’ai fait.
40 Aussi, quand les Samaritains vinrent le trouver, ils le prièrent de rester auprès d’eux. Et il resta là deux jours.
41 Un beaucoup plus grand nombre crurent à cause de sa parole;
42 et ils disaient à la femme: Ce n’est plus à cause de ce que tu as dit que nous croyons; car nous l’avons entendu nous-mêmes, et nous savons qu’il est vraiment le Sauveur du monde.
43 Après ces deux jours, Jésus partit de là, pour se rendre en Galilée;
44 car il avait déclaré lui-même qu’un prophète n’est pas honoré dans sa propre patrie.
45 Lorsqu’il arriva en Galilée, il fut bien reçu des Galiléens, qui avaient vu tout ce qu’il avait fait à Jérusalem pendant la fête; car eux aussi étaient allés à la fête.
46 Il retourna donc à Cana en Galilée, où il avait changé l’eau en vin. Il y avait à Capernaüm un officier du roi, dont le fils était malade.
47 Ayant appris que Jésus était venu de Judée en Galilée, il alla vers lui, et le pria de descendre et de guérir son fils, qui était près de mourir.
48 Jésus lui dit: Si vous ne voyez des miracles et des prodiges, vous ne croyez point.
49 L’officier du roi lui dit: Seigneur, descends avant que mon enfant meure.
50 Va, lui dit Jésus, ton fils vit. Et cet homme crut à la parole que Jésus lui avait dite, et il s’en alla.
51 Comme déjà il descendait, ses serviteurs venant à sa rencontre, lui apportèrent cette nouvelle: Ton enfant vit.
52 Il leur demanda à quelle heure il s’était trouvé mieux; et ils lui dirent: Hier, à la septième heure, la fièvre l’a quitté.
53 Le père reconnut que c’était à cette heure-là que Jésus lui avait dit: Ton fils vit. Et il crut, lui et toute sa maison.
54 Jésus fit encore ce second miracle lorsqu’il fut venu de Judée en Galilée.

1 When therefore the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John,
2 (Though Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples,)
3 He left Judaea, and departed again into Galilee.
4 And he must needs go through Samaria.
5 Then cometh he to a city of Samaria, which is called Sychar, near to the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.
6 Now Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour.
7 There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.
8 (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.)
9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.
10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
11 The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?
12 Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?
13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
15 The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.
16 Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither.
17 The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband:
18 For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly.
19 The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.
20 Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.
21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.
22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.
26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.
27 And upon this came his disciples, and marvelled that he talked with the woman: yet no man said, What seekest thou? or, Why talkest thou with her?
28 The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men,
29 Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?
30 Then they went out of the city, and came unto him.
31 In the mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat.
32 But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of.
33 Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat?
34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.
35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.
36 And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.
37 And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth.
38 I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours.
39 And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did.
40 So when the Samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them: and he abode there two days.
41 And many more believed because of his own word;
42 And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.
43 Now after two days he departed thence, and went into Galilee.
44 For Jesus himself testified, that a prophet hath no honour in his own country.
45 Then when he was come into Galilee, the Galilaeans received him, having seen all the things that he did at Jerusalem at the feast: for they also went unto the feast.
46 So Jesus came again into Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum.
47 When he heard that Jesus was come out of Judaea into Galilee, he went unto him, and besought him that he would come down, and heal his son: for he was at the point of death.
48 Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.
49 The nobleman saith unto him, Sir, come down ere my child die.
50 Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way.
51 And as he was now going down, his servants met him, and told him, saying, Thy son liveth.
52 Then enquired he of them the hour when he began to amend. And they said unto him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.
53 So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house.
54 This is again the second miracle that Jesus did, when he was come out of Judaea into Galilee.
