3 Lè sa a, Mari pran yon boutèy demi lit plen yon odè ki fèt ak yon fèy yo rele na. Odè sa a te vann byen chè. Li vide tout odè a sou pye Jezi. Apre sa, li siye yo ak cheve li. Tout kay la te plen sant odè a.
4 Yonn nan disip Jezi yo, sa ki tapral trayi l’ la, Jida Iskariòt, di konsa:
5 Poukisa yo pa t’ vann odè sa a pou twasan (300) goud? Yo ta bay pòv lajan sa a.
6 Li pa t’ di sa paske li te vle fè kichòy vre pou pòv yo, men paske se vòlè li te ye. Se li ki te kenbe kès lajan an, li te konn pran nan sa yo te mete ladan li.
7 Men, Jezi di li: Kite l’ an repo! Kite l’ konsève odè sa a pou jou y’a mete kò m’ nan kavo a.
8 Kanta pòv yo, n’a toujou genyen yo avè nou. Men mwen menm, nou p’ap genyen m’ tout tan.
9 Yon gwo foul moun vin konnen Jezi te Betani. Y’ ale Betani, pa sèlman poutèt Jezi, mentou pou wè Laza Jezi te fè leve soti vivan nan lanmò a.
10 Lè sa a, chèf prèt yo pran desizyon pou yo touye Laza tou,

12 Nan denmen, tout foul moun ki te vini pou fèt Delivrans jwif yo te vin konnen Jezi t’ap rive lavil Jerizalèm.
13 Lè sa a, yo koupe fèy palmis, yo soti al kontre li. Yo t’ap plede rele: Lwanj pou Bondye. benediksyon pou moun ki vini nan non Mèt la! Wi, benediksyon pou Wa pèp Izrayèl la.
14 Jezi te jwenn yon ti bourik. Li moute chita sou li, jan sa te ekri nan Liv la:
15 Nou pa bezwen pè, nou menm ki nan lavil Siyon an. Gade, men wa nou an ap vini: Li moute yon jenn ti bourik.
16 Disip yo pa t’ konprann bagay sa yo lamenm. Men, se jouk apre, lè Jezi te fin moute nan syèl la, yo vin chonje tout bagay sa yo te ekri davans nan Liv la, epi se sa menm ki te rive lè moun yo te fè sa pou li.
17 Te gen anpil moun ki te la avèk Jezi lè l’ te rele Laza pou l’ te fè l’ soti nan kavo a, lè l’ te fè l’ leve soti vivan nan lanmò a. Yo tout t’ap rakonte sa yo te wè.
18 Se konsa, foul moun yo te vin konnen li te fè mirak sa a. Se poutèt sa yo te vin kontre li.
19 Farizyen yo menm, yonn t’ap di lòt: Nou wè. Nou pa ka fè anyen pou anpeche sa. Gade jan tout moun ap swiv li!
20 Te gen kèk moun peyi Lagrès nan moun ki te vin Jerizalèm pou adore pandan fèt la.
21 Y’ al jwenn Filip (ki te moun Betsayda nan peyi Galile), yo di l’ konsa: Msye, nou ta renmen wè Jezi.
22 Filip al di Andre sa. Epi yo tou de al di Jezi sa.
23 Jezi reponn yo: Koulye a, lè a rive pou Moun Bondye voye nan lachè a resevwa lwanj ki pou li a.
24 Sa m’ap di nou la a, se vre wi: Yon grenn mayi ap rete pou kont li toutotan li pa tonbe atè pou l’ mouri. Men tou, si l’ mouri, l’ap bay anpil grenn.

26 Si yon moun ap sèvi m’, se pou l’ swiv mwen tou. Konsa, tout kote m’a ye, sèvitè mwen va la tou. Papa m’ va leve tèt tout moun k’ap sèvi mwen.
27 Men koulye a, kè m’ boulvèse. Mwen pa konn sa pou m’ di. Mwen ta di: Papa, delivre m’ anba sa ki pral rive koulye a. Men, se pou sa menm mwen vini, pou m’ pase tan soufrans sa a.
28 Papa o, fè wè pouvwa ou non! Lè sa a, yon vwa soti nan syèl la, li di: Mwen fè wè pouvwa non mwen deja. M’ap fè wè l’ ankò.
29 Foul moun ki te la yo tande vwa a. Yo t’ap di: Se yon kout loraj! Gen lòt ki t’ap di: Se yon zanj Bondye ki pale avèk li.
30 Men, Jezi di yo: Se pa pou mwen non vwa a pale, se pou nou menm pou nou ka tande.
31 Koulye a, lè a rive pou yo jije moun ki sou tè sa a. Koulye a, yo pral mete chèf k’ap dominen lemonn lan deyò.
32 Men mwen menm, lè y’a leve m’ anlè sou tè a, mwen gen pou m’ rale tout moun vin jwenn mwen.

34 Foul moun yo reponn li: Nan Liv lalwa nou an, nou wè Kris la gen pou l’ viv pou tout tan. Ki jan ou ka di se pou yo leve Moun Bondye voye nan lachè a anlè? Kilès ki Moun Bondye voye nan lachè a?
35 Jezi reponn yo: Nou gen limyè a la avè nou, men pa pou lontan. Mache pandan nou gen limyè a pou fènwa pa bare nou. Moun k’ap mache nan fènwa pa konnen kote l’ prale.
36 Mete konfyans nou nan limyè a pandan nou genyen l’ lan, pou nou kapab moun limyè a. Apre li fin di yo pawòl sa yo, Jezi wete kò l’, li al kache byen lwen.
37 Atout li te fè tout mirak sa yo devan yo, yo pa t’ kwè nan li.
38 Se konsa, pawòl pwofèt Ezayi te di a rive vre: Bondye, kilès ki te kwè mesaj nou te bay la? Ki moun ki te rekonet travay Bondye a nan sa ki rive a?
39 Non. Yo pa t’ kapab kwè, paske men sa Ezayi te di ankò:
40 Bondye bouche tou de je yo. li fèmen lespri yo, pou yo pa wè nan je yo, pou yo pa konprann ak lespri yo, pou yo pa tounen vin jwenn mwen pou m’ ta geri yo.
41 Ezayi te di sa paske li te wè pouvwa Jezi, epi li pale sou li.
42 Malgre sa, menm pami chèf jwif yo, anpil moun te kwè nan Jezi. Men, akòz farizyen yo, yo pa t’ kite moun wè sa pou yo pa t’ mete yo deyò nan sinagòg la.
43 Yo te pito lwanj ki soti nan men lèzòm pase lwanj ki soti nan men Bondye.
44 Jezi pale byen fò, li di: Moun ki kwè nan mwen, se pa nan mwen sèlman li kwè, men li kwè nan moun ki voye m’ lan tou.
45 Moun ki wè m’, li wè moun ki voye m’ lan tou.
46 Mwen menm, mwen se limyè sou latè. Tout moun ki kwè nan mwen p’ap rete nan fènwa.
47 Lè yon moun tande pawòl mwen yo, si l’ pa kenbe yo, se pa mwen k’ap kondannen li. Paske, mwen vin pou delivre moun, mwen pa vin pou kondannen yo.
48 Men, moun ki refize kwè nan mwen, ki pa asepte pawòl mwen yo, li jwenn ak sa k’ap kondannen l’ lan: Pawòl mwen te di yo, se yo menm k’ap kondannen l’ lè dènye jou a va rive.
49 Se pa pawòl pa m’ m’ap pale la a. Men, Papa ki voye m’ lan, se li menm ki ban m’ lòd sa pou m’ di ak sa pou m’ pale.
50 Mwen menm, mwen konnen tout kòmandman l’ yo bay lavi ki p’ap janm fini an. Se sak fè sa m’ap di a, m’ap di l’ jan Papa m’ te ban m’ lòd la.

1 Six jours avant la Pâque, Jésus arriva à Béthanie, où était Lazare, qu’il avait ressuscité des morts.
2 Là, on lui fit un souper; Marthe servait, et Lazare était un de ceux qui se trouvaient à table avec lui.
3 Marie, ayant pris une livre d’un parfum de nard pur de grand prix, oignit les pieds de Jésus, et elle lui essuya les pieds avec ses cheveux; et la maison fut remplie de l’odeur du parfum.
4 Un de ses disciples, Judas Iscariot, fils de Simon, celui qui devait le livrer, dit:
5 Pourquoi n’a-t-on pas vendu ce parfum trois cent deniers, pour les donner aux pauvres?
6 Il disait cela, non qu’il se mît en peine des pauvres, mais parce qu’il était voleur, et que, tenant la bourse, il prenait ce qu’on y mettait.
7 Mais Jésus dit: Laisse-la garder ce parfum pour le jour de ma sépulture.
8 Vous avez toujours les pauvres avec vous, mais vous ne m’avez pas toujours.
9 Une grande multitude de Juifs apprirent que Jésus était à Béthanie; et ils y vinrent, non pas seulement à cause de lui, mais aussi pour voir Lazare, qu’il avait ressuscité des morts.
10 Les principaux sacrificateurs délibérèrent de faire mourir aussi Lazare,
11 parce que beaucoup de Juifs se retiraient d’eux à cause de lui, et croyaient en Jésus.
12 Le lendemain, une foule nombreuse de gens venus à la fête ayant entendu dire que Jésus se rendait à Jérusalem,
13 prirent des branches de palmiers, et allèrent au-devant de lui, en criant: Hosanna! Béni soit celui qui vient au nom du Seigneur, le roi d’Israël!
14 Jésus trouva un ânon, et s’assit dessus, selon ce qui est écrit:
15 Ne crains point, fille de Sion; Voici, ton roi vient, Assis sur le petit d’une ânesse.
16 Ses disciples ne comprirent pas d’abord ces choses; mais, lorsque Jésus eut été glorifié, ils se souvinrent qu’elles étaient écrites de lui, et qu’il les avaient été accomplies à son égard.
17 Tous ceux qui étaient avec Jésus, quand il appela Lazare du sépulcre et le ressuscita des morts, lui rendaient témoignage;
18 et la foule vint au-devant de lui, parce qu’elle avait appris qu’il avait fait ce miracle.
19 Les pharisiens se dirent donc les uns aux autres: Vous voyez que vous ne gagnez rien; voici, le monde est allé après lui.
20 Quelques Grecs, du nombre de ceux qui étaient montés pour adorer pendant la fête,
21 s’adressèrent à Philippe, de Bethsaïda en Galilée, et lui dirent avec instance: Seigneur, nous voudrions voir Jésus.
22 Philippe alla le dire à André, puis André et Philippe le dirent à Jésus.
23 Jésus leur répondit: L’heure est venue où le Fils de l’homme doit être glorifié.
24 En vérité, en vérité, je vous le dis, si le grain de blé qui est tombé en terre ne meurt, il reste seul; mais, s’il meurt, il porte beaucoup de fruit.
25 Celui qui aime sa vie la perdra, et celui qui hait sa vie dans ce monde la conservera pour la vie éternelle.
26 Si quelqu’un me sert, qu’il me suive; et là où je suis, là aussi sera mon serviteur. Si quelqu’un me sert, le Père l’honorera.
27 Maintenant mon âme est troublée. Et que dirais-je?… Père, délivre-moi de cette heure?… Mais c’est pour cela que je suis venu jusqu’à cette heure.
28 Père, glorifie ton nom! Et une voix vint du ciel: Je l’ai glorifié, et je le glorifierai encore.
29 La foule qui était là, et qui avait entendu, disait que c’était un tonnerre. D’autres disaient: Un ange lui a parlé.
30 Jésus dit: Ce n’est pas à cause de moi que cette voix s’est fait entendre; c’est à cause de vous.
31 Maintenant a lieu le jugement de ce monde; maintenant le prince de ce monde sera jeté dehors.
32 Et moi, quand j’aurai été élevé de la terre, j’attirerai tous les hommes à moi.
33 En parlant ainsi, il indiquait de quelle mort il devait mourir. –
34 La foule lui répondit: Nous avons appris par la loi que le Christ demeure éternellement; comment donc dis-tu: Il faut que le Fils de l’homme soit élevé? Qui est ce Fils de l’homme?
35 Jésus leur dit: La lumière est encore pour un peu de temps au milieu de vous. Marchez, pendant que vous avez la lumière, afin que les ténèbres ne vous surprennent point: celui qui marche dans les ténèbres ne sait où il va.
36 Pendant que vous avez la lumière, croyez en la lumière, afin que vous soyez des enfants de lumière. Jésus dit ces choses, puis il s’en alla, et se cacha loin d’eux.
37 Malgré tant de miracles qu’il avait faits en leur présence, ils ne croyaient pas en lui,
38 afin que s’accomplît la parole qu’Ésaïe, le prophète, a prononcée: Seigneur, Qui a cru à notre prédication? Et à qui le bras du Seigneur a-t-il été révélé?
39 Aussi ne pouvaient-ils croire, parce qu’Ésaïe a dit encore:
40 Il a aveuglé leurs yeux; et il a endurci leur coeur, De peur qu’ils ne voient des yeux, Qu’ils ne comprennent du coeur, Qu’ils ne se convertissent, et que je ne les guérisse.
41 Ésaïe dit ces choses, lorsqu’il vit sa gloire, et qu’il parla de lui.
42 Cependant, même parmi les chefs, plusieurs crurent en lui; mais, à cause des pharisiens, ils n’en faisaient pas l’aveu, dans la crainte d’être exclus de la synagogue.
43 Car ils aimèrent la gloire des hommes plus que la gloire de Dieu.
44 Or, Jésus s’était écrié: Celui qui croit en moi croit, non pas en moi, mais en celui qui m’a envoyé;
45 et celui qui me voit voit celui qui m’a envoyé.
46 Je suis venu comme une lumière dans le monde, afin que quiconque croit en moi ne demeure pas dans les ténèbres.
47 Si quelqu’un entend mes paroles et ne les garde point, ce n’est pas moi qui le juge; car je suis venu non pour juger le monde, mais pour sauver le monde.
48 Celui qui me rejette et qui ne reçoit pas mes paroles a son juge; la parole que j’ai annoncée, c’est elle qui le jugera au dernier jour.
49 Car je n’ai point parlé de moi-même; mais le Père, qui m’a envoyé, m’a prescrit lui-même ce que je dois dire et annoncer.
50 Et je sais que son commandement est la vie éternelle. C’est pourquoi les choses que je dis, je les dis comme le Père me les a dites.

1 Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead.
2 There they made him a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him.
3 Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.
4 Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, which should betray him,
5 Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor?
6 This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.
7 Then said Jesus, Let her alone: against the day of my burying hath she kept this.
8 For the poor always ye have with you; but me ye have not always.
9 Much people of the Jews therefore knew that he was there: and they came not for Jesus’ sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead.
10 But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death;
11 Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed on Jesus.
12 On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,
13 Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.
14 And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written,
15 Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass’s colt.
16 These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him.
17 The people therefore that was with him when he called Lazarus out of his grave, and raised him from the dead, bare record.
18 For this cause the people also met him, for that they heard that he had done this miracle.
19 The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, Perceive ye how ye prevail nothing? behold, the world is gone after him.
20 And there were certain Greeks among them that came up to worship at the feast:
21 The same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus.
22 Philip cometh and telleth Andrew: and again Andrew and Philip tell Jesus.
23 And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.
24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.
25 He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.
26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.
27 Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.
28 Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.
29 The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spake to him.
30 Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes.
31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.
32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
33 This he said, signifying what death he should die.
34 The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, The Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man?
35 Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.
36 While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.
37 But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him:
38 That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?
39 Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again,
40 He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.
41 These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him.
42 Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:
43 For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
44 Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me.
45 And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me.
46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.
