2 Timote 1
1 Mwen menm, Pòl, se Bondye ki te vle chwazi m’ pou sèvi apòt Jezikri, pou fè konnen lavi li te pwomèt nou an, lavi li ban nou nan Jezikri a.
2 M’ap ekri ou, Timote, pitit mwen renmen anpil lan. Mwen mande Bondye Papa a ansanm ak Jezikri, Seyè nou an, pou yo gen pitye pou ou, pou yo ba ou benediksyon ak kè poze.
3 M’ap di Bondye mèsi, Bondye zansèt mwen yo te sèvi a. Se li menm tou m’ap sèvi ak yon konsyans pwòp. Se tout tan m’ap di l’ mèsi lajounen kou lannwit, chak fwa lide m’ frape sou ou lè m’ap lapriyè.
4 Mwen chonje jan ou te nan lapenn. Se pa ti anvi m’ anvi wè ou pou kè m’ ka kontan nèt.
5 Mwen pa janm bliye jan ou gen konfyans nan Bondye ak tout kè ou. Lòyis, grann ou, ak Enis, manman ou, te gen konfyans konsa nan li tou. Wi, mwen sèten ou gen menm konfyans sa a tou.
6 Se poutèt sa, m’ap mande ou pou kenbe kado Bondye te ba ou lè m’ te mete men sou tèt ou a.
7 Paske, Lespri Bondye ban nou an pa fè nou wont moun. Okontrè, Lespri Bondye a ban nou fòs, renmen ak pouvwa pou kontwole tèt nou.
8 Ou pa bezwen wont kanpe pale pou Seyè nou an. Ou pa bezwen wont pou mwen non plis ki nan prizon pou tèt li. Okontrè, avèk fòs kouraj Bondye ap ba ou a, se pou ou asepte soufri avè m’ pou bon nouvèl la.
9 Se Bondye ki delivre nou, se li menm ki rele nou pou n’ ka viv pou li. Li pa t’ fè sa pou nou poutèt byen nou te fè. Non, sa soti nan plan travay li menm. Se yon favè li fè nou nan Jezikri, depi lontan anvan li te kreye tout bagay.
10 Koulye a, li fè nou konnen favè sa a avèk Jezikri, Sovè nou, ki te vini an. Paske, Jezikri kraze pouvwa lanmò te genyen an. Avèk bon nouvèl la, li fè lavi ki p’ap fini nan lanmò a parèt aklè.
11 Bondye chwazi m’ pou m’ anonse bon nouvèl sa a, li voye m’ kòm apòt pou m’ moutre li bay tout moun ki pa jwif.
12 Se poutèt li tou m’ap sibi tout soufrans sa yo. Men, mwen pa wont paske mwen konnen nan ki moun mwen mete konfyans mwen. Mwen sèten li gen pouvwa pou l’ konsève sa l’ te ban mwen an jouk gran jou a va vini.
13 Pran egzanp sou pawòl verite mwen te ba ou yo. Kenbe fèm nan konfyans ak nan renmen nou jwenn nan Jezikri.
14 Ak lasistans Sentespri ki nan kè ou la, kenbe tout bon pawòl yo te moutre ou yo tankou yon depo ki sou kont ou.
15 Ou te pran nouvèl la, pa vre? Tout moun nan pwovens Lazi yo lage m’ pou kont mwen, ata Fijèl ak Emojèn.
16 Mwen mande Seyè a pou li gen pitye pou moun lakay Onezifò yo. Paske, anpil fwa Onezifò vin konsole mwen. Li pa t’ wont mwen dèske mwen te nan prizon.
17 Okontrè, lè li rive lavil Wòm, li touye tèt li chache m’ jouk li jwenn mwen.
18 Se pou Seyè Jezi fè Bondye gen pitye pou li lè gran jou a va rive. Ou chonje tout sèvis li te rann mwen lavil Efèz?

2 Timothée 1
1 Paul, apôtre de Jésus Christ, par la volonté de Dieu, pour annoncer la promesse de la vie qui est en Jésus Christ,
2 à Timothée, mon enfant bien-aimé: que la grâce, la miséricorde et la paix te soient données de la part de Dieu le Père et de Jésus Christ notre Seigneur!
3 Je rends grâces à Dieu, que mes ancêtres ont servi, et que je sers avec une conscience pure, de ce que nuit et jour je me souviens continuellement de toi dans mes prières,
4 me rappelant tes larmes, et désirant te voir afin d’être rempli de joie,
5 gardant le souvenir de la foi sincère qui est en toi, qui habita d’abord dans ton aïeule Loïs et dans ta mère Eunice, et qui, j’en suis persuadé, habite aussi en toi.
6 C’est pourquoi je t’exhorte à ranimer le don de Dieu que tu as reçu par l’imposition de mes mains.
7 Car ce n’est pas un esprit de timidité que Dieu nous a donné, mais un esprit de force, d’amour et de sagesse.
8 N’aie donc point honte du témoignage à rendre à notre Seigneur, ni de moi son prisonnier. Mais souffre avec moi pour l’Évangile,
9 par la puissance de Dieu qui nous a sauvés, et nous a adressé une sainte vocation, non à cause de nos oeuvres, mais selon son propre dessein, et selon la grâce qui nous a été donnée en Jésus Christ avant les temps éternels,
10 et qui a été manifestée maintenant par l’apparition de notre Sauveur Jésus Christ, qui a détruit la mort et a mis en évidence la vie et l’immortalité par l’Évangile.
11 C’est pour cet Évangile que j’ai été établi prédicateur et apôtre, chargé d’instruire les païens.
12 Et c’est à cause de cela que je souffre ces choses; mais j’en ai point honte, car je sais en qui j’ai cru, et je suis persuadé qu’il a la puissance de garder mon dépôt jusqu’à ce jour-là.
13 Retiens dans la foi et dans la charité qui est en Jésus Christ le modèle des saines paroles que tu as reçues de moi.
14 Garde le bon dépôt, par le Saint Esprit qui habite en nous.
15 Tu sais que tous ceux qui sont en Asie m’ont abandonné, entre autres Phygelle et Hermogène.
16 Que le Seigneur répande sa miséricorde sur la maison d’Onésiphore, car il m’a souvent consolé, et il n’a pas eu honte de mes chaînes;
17 au contraire, lorsqu’il est venu à Rome, il m’a cherché avec beaucoup d’empressement, et il m’a trouvé.
18 Que le Seigneur lui donne d’obtenir miséricorde auprès du Seigneur en ce jour-là. Tu sais mieux que personne combien de services il m’a rendus à Éphèse.

1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus,
2 To Timothy, my dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
3 I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day;
4 Greatly desiring to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, that I may be filled with joy;
5 When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.
6 Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.
7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;
9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:
11 Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.
12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
13 Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
14 That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us.
15 This thou knowest, that all they which are in Asia be turned away from me; of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes.
16 The Lord give mercy unto the house of Onesiphorus; for he oft refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain:
17 But, when he was in Rome, he sought me out very diligently, and found me.
18 The Lord grant unto him that he may find mercy of the Lord in that day: and in how many things he ministered unto me at Ephesus, thou knowest very well.
