Malachi 2
1 Koulye a, men lòd mwen bay prèt yo:
2 Si nou pa koute sa m’ap di nou la a, si nou pa soti pou nou sèvi yon lwanj pou mwen, m’ap voye madichon sou nou. Se Seyè ki gen tout pouvwa a k’ap pale konsa wi. M’ap madichonnen tout bon bagay k’ap vin pou nou yo. Wi, mwen madichonnen yo deja, paske nou pa soti pou nou sèvi yon lwanj pou mwen.
3 Mwen pral touye pitit nou yo. Mwen pral voye salte, tripay bèt nou ofri yo nan figi nou. Lèfini, m’ap voye nou jete ansanm ak yo.
4 Lè sa a, n’a konnen se mwen menm ki te ban nou lòd sa a, pou kontra mwen te pase ak fanmi Levi a ka toujou la. Se Seyè ki gen tout pouvwa a ki di sa.
5 Nan kontra mwen te pase ak yo a, mwen te pwomèt mwen t’ap ba yo lavi ak kè poze. E mwen te ba yo l’. Yo menm, se pou yo te gen krentif pou mwen. Yo te gen krentif pou mwen vre, yo te respekte m’.
6 Se verite ase ki te soti nan bouch yo. Yo pa t’ janm chache twonpe m’. Yo toujou mache avè m’ ak kè poze. Yo t’ap fè sa ki dwat. Yo te fè anpil moun sispann fè sa ki mal.
7 Se devwa prèt yo pou yo moutre moun sa Bondye ye. Moun al kote yo pou yo ka konnen sa Bondye mande yo fè. Paske se mesaje Seyè ki gen tout pouvwa a yo ye.
8 Men, nou menm prèt yo, nou kite chemen Bondye a. Nou lakòz anpil moun pa kenbe kòmandman mwen bay yo. Se Seyè ki gen tout pouvwa a ki di sa. Nou pa kenbe kontra mwen te fè ak moun fanmi Levi yo.
9 Se poutèt sa m’ap fè tout moun pèp Izrayèl yo derespekte nou. Y’ap pran nou pou vakabon, paske nou pa fè sa mwen mande nou fè. Nou gade sou figi moun lè pou n’ di yo sa lalwa a mande.
10 Eske se pa yon sèl papa a nou tout nou genyen? Eske se pa yon sèl Bondye ki fè nou tou? Poukisa atò nou pa kenbe pwomès nou yonn ak lòt? Poukisa nou meprize kontra Bondye te fè ak zansèt nou yo?
11 Moun Jida yo trayi Bondye. Yo fè yon move bagay ki lèd anpil nan peyi Izrayèl la ak nan lavil Jerizalèm. Yo derespekte kay Bondye renmen anpil la. Mesye yo marye ak fanm k’ap sèvi lòt bondye.
12 Tout moun ki fè bagay sa a, se pou Seyè a pa kite yo jwenn yon moun nan fanmi Jakòb la pou kanpe pou yo osinon pou fè ofrann bay Seyè ki gen tout pouvwa a pou yo.
13 Men yon lòt bagay nou fè ankò: N’ap benyen lotèl Seyè a ak dlo ki sot nan je nou. N’ap kriye, n’ap plenyen paske Seyè a pa menm gade ofrann nou fè l’ yo, li derefize asepte anyen nan men nou.
14 Epi n’ap mande poukisa? Se paske Seyè a wè sa ou fè madanm ou te marye lè ou te jenn lan. Ou pa kenbe pwomès ou te fè l’ la. Ou te pase kontra avè l’, ou te pwomèt Bondye ou t’ap kenbe l’ pou madanm ou pou tout tan.
15 Eske Bondye pa t’ fè nou tounen yon sèl kò ak yon sèl nanm? Poukisa li te fè sa? Se pou nou te ka fè pitit ki pou sèvi l’. Konsa, fè respè tèt nou! Respekte pwomès nou te fè madanm nou te marye lè nou te jenn lan.
16 Mwen rayi wè lè mouche separe ak madanm. Se Seyè ki gen tout pouvwa a, Bondye pèp Izrayèl la, ki di sa. Mwen rayi wè moun k’ap aji mal konsa ak madanm yo. Se poutèt sa, fè respè tèt nou! Kenbe pwomès nou te fè madanm nou.
17 N’ap fatige tèt Seyè a ak yon bann pawòl. Epi n’ap di: Ki jan n’ap fatige l’ la? Se lè n’ap plede di: Tout moun ki fè sa ki mal yo bon nan je Seyè a. Li kontan ak yo. Ou ankò lè n’ap mande: Kote Bondye k’ap rann jistis la?

1 Maintenant, à vous cet ordre, sacrificateurs!
2 Si vous n’écoutez pas, si vous ne prenez pas à coeur De donner gloire à mon nom, dit l’Éternel des armées, J’enverrai parmi vous la malédiction, et je maudirai vos bénédictions; Oui, je les maudirai, parce que vous ne l’avez pas à coeur.
3 Voici, je détruirai vos semences, Et je vous jetterai des excréments au visage, Les excréments des victimes que vous sacrifiez, Et on vous emportera avec eux.
4 Vous saurez alors que je vous ai adressé cet ordre, Afin que mon alliance avec Lévi subsiste, Dit l’Éternel des armées.
5 Mon alliance avec lui était une alliance de vie et de paix, Ce que je lui accordai pour qu’il me craignit; Et il a eu pour moi de la crainte, Il a tremblé devant mon nom.
6 La loi de la vérité était dans sa bouche, Et l’iniquité ne s’est point trouvée sur ses lèvres; Il a marché avec moi dans la paix et dans la droiture, Et il a détourné du mal beaucoup d’hommes.
7 Car les lèvres du sacrificateur doivent garder la science, Et c’est à sa bouche qu’on demande la loi, Parce qu’il est un envoyé de l’Éternel des armées.
8 Mais vous, vous vous êtes écartés de la voie, Vous avez fait de la loi une occasion de chute pour plusieurs, Vous avez violé l’alliance de Lévi, Dit l’Éternel des armées.
9 Et moi, je vous rendrai méprisables et vils Aux yeux de tout le peuple, Parce que vous n’avez pas gardé mes voies, Et que vous avez égard à l’apparence des personnes Quand vous interprétez la loi.
10 N’avons-nous pas tous un seul père? N’est-ce pas un seul Dieu qui nous a créés? Pourquoi donc sommes-nous infidèles l’un envers l’autre, En profanant l’alliance de nos pères?
11 Juda s’est montré infidèle, Et une abomination a été commise en Israël et à Jérusalem; Car Juda a profané ce qui est consacré à l’Éternel, ce qu’aime l’Éternel, Il s’est uni à la fille d’un dieu étranger.
12 L’Éternel retranchera l’homme qui fait cela, celui qui veille et qui répond, Il le retranchera des tentes de Jacob, Et il retranchera celui qui présente une offrande A l’Éternel des armées.
13 Voici encore ce que vous faites: Vous couvrez de larmes l’autel de l’Éternel, De pleurs et de gémissements, En sorte qu’il n’a plus égard aux offrandes Et qu’il ne peut rien agréer de vos mains.
14 Et vous dites: Pourquoi?… Parce que l’Éternel a été témoin entre toi et la femme de ta jeunesse, A laquelle tu es infidèle, Bien qu’elle soit ta compagne et la femme de ton alliance.
15 Nul n’a fait cela, avec un reste de bon sens. Un seul l’a fait, et pourquoi? Parce qu’il cherchait la postérité que Dieu lui avait promise. Prenez donc garde en votre esprit, Et qu’aucun ne soit infidèle à la femme de sa jeunesse!
16 Car je hais la répudiation, Dit l’Éternel, le Dieu d’Israël, Et celui qui couvre de violence son vêtement, Dit l’Éternel des armées. Prenez donc garde en votre esprit, Et ne soyez pas infidèles!
17 Vous fatiguez l’Éternel par vos paroles, Et vous dites: En quoi l’avons-nous fatigué? C’est en disant: Quiconque fait le mal est bon aux yeux de l’Éternel, Et c’est en lui qu’il prend plaisir! Ou bien: Où est le Dieu de la justice?

Malachi 2
1 And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you.
2 If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the Lord of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.
3 Behold, I will corrupt your seed, and spread dung upon your faces, even the dung of your solemn feasts; and one shall take you away with it.
4 And ye shall know that I have sent this commandment unto you, that my covenant might be with Levi, saith the Lord of hosts.
5 My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him for the fear wherewith he feared me, and was afraid before my name.
6 The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips: he walked with me in peace and equity, and did turn many away from iniquity.
7 For the priest’s lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts.
8 But ye are departed out of the way; ye have caused many to stumble at the law; ye have corrupted the covenant of Levi, saith the Lord of hosts.
9 Therefore have I also made you contemptible and base before all the people, according as ye have not kept my ways, but have been partial in the law.
10 Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?
11 Judah hath dealt treacherously, and an abomination is committed in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah hath profaned the holiness of the Lord which he loved, and hath married the daughter of a strange god.
12 The Lord will cut off the man that doeth this, the master and the scholar, out of the tabernacles of Jacob, and him that offereth an offering unto the Lord of hosts.
13 And this have ye done again, covering the altar of the Lord with tears, with weeping, and with crying out, insomuch that he regardeth not the offering any more, or receiveth it with good will at your hand.
14 Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the Lord hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant.
15 And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.
16 For the Lord, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the Lord of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.
17 Ye have wearied the Lord with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the Lord, and he delighteth in them; or, Where is the God of judgment?
