1 Izarak te fin vye granmoun, je l’ pa t’ bon, li pa t’ kapab wè ladan yo ankò. Li rele premye pitit li a, Ezaou, li di l’ konsa: -Pitit mwen, Ezaou reponn li: -Men mwen wi, papa.
2 Izarak di l’: -Ou wè jan m’ fin vye. Mwen pa konn ki jou m’ap mouri.
3 Tanpri, pran zam ou yo, flèch ou yo ak banza ou la. Ale nan bwa a, chase jibye pou mwen.
4 Lèfini, pare vyann lan jan ou konnen mwen renmen l’ lan, pote l’ ban mwen. m’a manje. Epi m’a ba ou benediksyon mwen anvan m’ mouri.
5 Rebeka menm t’ap tande sa Izarak t’ap di Ezaou, gason l’ lan. Ezaou soti, li pati li al lachas pou papa l’.
6  Lè sa a, Rebeka di Jakòb, pitit li a: -Men mwen fèk tande papa ou di Ezaou, frè ou la:
7 Al chase jibye pote pou mwen, kwit li, m’a manje. Apre sa, m’a beni ou devan Seyè a anvan m’ mouri.
8 Koulye a, pitit mwen, koute sa m’ap di ou: Fè sa m’ap mande ou la.
9 Ale pran de jenn kabrit byen gra nan bann lan, pote yo ban mwen. m’a pare yo pou papa ou jan m’ konnen li renmen l’ lan.
10 W’a pote l’ bay papa ou, la manje, la beni ou anvan l’ mouri.
11 Jakòb reponn manman l’: -Men manman, Ezaou, frè mwen an, gen pwal sou tout kò li. Mwen menm, po pa m’ lis.
12 Si papa m’ manyen m’, la wè se twonpe m’ap twonpe l’. Lè sa a pase li ban mwen benediksyon, la ban m’ madichon pito.
13 Men manman an reponn: -Madichon la ba ou a va tonbe sou mwen, pitit mwen. Ou menm, fè sa mwen di ou fè a, al chache kabrit yo mennen ban mwen.
14 Jakòb ale chache bèt yo, li mennen yo bay manman l’. Manman l’ pare yon manje jan li konnen papa a te renmen l’ lan.
15 Apre sa, Rebeka pran rad Ezaou, premye pitit li a, pi bèl rad Ezaou te gen lakay la, li mete yo anwo Jakòb, dezyèm pitit li a.
16 Avèk po ti kabrit yo, li kouvri bra ak kou Jakòb.
17 Apre sa, li bay Jakòb manje a avèk pen li te fè.
18  Jakòb al jwenn papa l’, li di: -Papa. Izarak reponn li: -Men mwen, pitit mwen. Kilès nan nou ki la a?
19 Jakòb reponn: -Se mwen menm Ezaou, premye gason ou lan. Mwen fè sa ou te di m’ fè a. Leve non, chita. Manje vyann mwen pote pou ou a. Apre sa, wa ban mwen benediksyon.
20 Izarak di Jakòb: -Ki jan ou fè jwenn bèt la vit konsa, pitit mwen? Jakòb reponn li: -Seyè a, Bondye ou la, ede m’. Li fè jibye a vin devan mwen.
21 Izarak di: -Pwoche non. Vini mwen manyen ou, pitit mwen, pou m’ wè si wi ou non ou se Ezaou, pitit mwen an.
22 Jakòb pwoche bò kote Izarak, papa l’, ki manyen l’. Epi Izarak di: -Vwa a se vwa Jakòb, men bra a se bra Ezaou.
23 Li pa t’ rekonèt Jakòb, paske bra li te plen pwal tankou bra Ezaou, frè li a. Izarak beni l’.
24 Li di l’: -Se vre, se Ezaou, pitit mwen, ou ye? Jakòb reponn li: -Se mwen wi.
25 Izarak di l’: -Sèvi m’ non. m’a manje vyann ou pote a. Apre sa, m’a beni ou. Jakòb sèvi l’ manje a, li manje. Lèfini, Jakòb ba li diven, li bwè.
26 Izarak, papa l’, di l’: -Pwoche non, pitit mwen. vin bo m’.
27 Jakòb pwoche, li bo papa l’. Papa a pran sant rad ki te sou li a, epi li ba li benediksyon l’. Li di l’: -Sant kò pitit mwen an tankou sant yon jaden Seyè a beni.
28 Se pou Bondye ba ou lawouze ki soti nan syèl la. Se pou l’ fè jaden ou donnen anpil. Se pou l’ ba ou bèl rekòt ble ak rezen.
29 Se pou kantite pèp soumèt devan ou. Se pou kantite nasyon bese tèt devan ou. Se ou menm ki pou mèt frè ou yo. Se pou pitit pitit manman ou yo bese tèt devan ou. Se pou tout moun ki ba ou madichon jwenn madichon. Se pou tout moun ki beni ou jwenn benediksyon.
30  Izarak te fin beni Jakòb. Jakòb te fèk kite papa li, Izarak, lè Ezaou, frè li a, antre soti lachas.
31 Li te pare yon bon plat manje, li pote l’ bay papa l’. Li di l’: -Leve chita non, papa. Manje vyann pitit ou pote pou ou a, pou ou ka beni l’.
32 Izarak, papa l’, mande: -Ki moun sa a? Li reponn: -Se mwen menm, Ezaou, premye pitit gason ou lan.
33 Tande Izarak tande sa, li sezi, li pran tranble kou fèy bwa. Li di: -Kilès sa ki te pote ban m’ manje jibye li sot chase a? Mwen fèk fin manje anvan ou rive la a. Mwen ba li benediksyon m’ lan ki pou li nèt.
34 Lè Ezaou tande sa, yon sèl kòlè moute l’, li tonbe rele byen fò: -Beni m’ tout non, papa!
35 Izarak reponn li: -Frè ou la vini, li twonpe m’. Li pran benediksyon ki te pou ou a.
36 Ezaou di: -Sa fè dezyèm fwa li pran sak pou mwen. Eske se paske li rele Jakòb la kifè l’ap pase devan m’ konsa? Premye fwa a, li te pran dwa m’ kòm premye pitit. Men koulye a, li pran benediksyon ki te pou mwen an! Apre sa, li di: -Men papa, èske ou pa gen yon lòt benediksyon pou mwen?
37 Izarak reponn Ezaou: -Mwen mete l’ chèf sou ou. Mwen fè tout rès fanmi an tounen moun k’ap sèvi l’. Mwen ba li mezi pwovizyon l’. Kisa m’ ka fè pou ou ankò, pitit mwen?
38 Ezaou di papa a: -Se sèl benediksyon sa a ou te genyen, papa? Tanpri, beni m’ tout non, papa! Lè sa a, Ezaou pete yon sèl rèl, li kriye byen fò.
39 Se konsa Izarak di l’: -Latè p’ap ba ou sa l’ te dwe ba ou. p’ap gen lawouze ki soti nan syèl la pou wouze jaden ou.
40 Se zam ou k’ap fè ou viv. W’ap sèvi frè ou la, se vre. Men, se pye poudre ou ye, w’a soti anba men l’.
41  Ezaou te rayi Jakòb poutèt papa a te ba li benediksyon ki te pou li a. Li di nan kè l’: Papa m’ pa lwen mouri. Fini yo fini antere l’, m’ap touye Jakòb, frè mwen an.
42 Yo vin rapòte bay Rebeka sa ki te soti nan bouch Ezaou, premye pitit gason l’ lan. Li fè rele Jakòb, dezyèm pitit li a, li di l’: -Koute! Ezaou, frè ou la, vle tire revanj sou ou. Li vle touye ou.
43 Koulye a, pitit mwen, koute sa m’ap di ou la. Leve, pati ale kay Laban, frè mwen an ki rete nan peyi Karan.
44 W’a rete kèk tan la avèk li, jouk tan kòlè frè ou la va bese,
45 jouk tan la sispann move sou ou, jouk li va bliye sa ou te fè l’ la. Lè sa a, atò, m’a voye chache ou, m’a fè ou tounen. Poukisa pou m’ ta pèdi tou de pitit gason m’ yo yon sèl jou a?
46 Rebeka di Izarak konsa: -Mwen degoute, mwen bouke ak bann fi Et sa yo. Pase pou m’ ta wè Jakòb pran yonn nan moun sa yo, yonn nan bann fi Et sa yo k’ap viv nan peyi a pou madanm, pito m’ mouri!

Genèse 27

1 Isaac devenait vieux, et ses yeux s’étaient affaiblis au point qu’il ne voyait plus. Alors il appela Ésaü, son fils aîné, et lui dit: Mon fils! Et il lui répondit: Me voici!
2 Isaac dit: Voici donc, je suis vieux, je ne connais pas le jour de ma mort.
3 Maintenant donc, je te prie, prends tes armes, ton carquois et ton arc, va dans les champs, et chasse-moi du gibier.
4 Fais-moi un mets comme j’aime, et apporte-le-moi à manger, afin que mon âme te bénisse avant que je meure.
5 Rebecca écouta ce qu’Isaac disait à Ésaü, son fils. Et Ésaü s’en alla dans les champs, pour chasser du gibier et pour le rapporter.
6 Puis Rebecca dit à Jacob, son fils: Voici, j’ai entendu ton père qui parlait ainsi à Ésaü, ton frère:
7 Apporte-moi du gibier et fais-moi un mets que je mangerai; et je te bénirai devant l’Éternel avant ma mort.
8 Maintenant, mon fils, écoute ma voix à l’égard de ce que je te commande.
9 Va me prendre au troupeau deux bons chevreaux; j’en ferai pour ton père un mets comme il aime;
10 et tu le porteras à manger à ton père, afin qu’il te bénisse avant sa mort.
11 Jacob répondit à sa mère: Voici, Ésaü, mon frère, est velu, et je n’ai point de poil.
12 Peut-être mon père me touchera-t-il, et je passerai à ses yeux pour un menteur, et je ferai venir sur moi la malédiction, et non la bénédiction.
13 Sa mère lui dit: Que cette malédiction, mon fils, retombe sur moi! Écoute seulement ma voix, et va me les prendre.
14 Jacob alla les prendre, et les apporta à sa mère, qui fit un mets comme son père aimait.
15 Ensuite, Rebecca prit les vêtements d’Ésaü, son fils aîné, les plus beaux qui se trouvaient à la maison, et elle les fit mettre à Jacob, son fils cadet.
16 Elle couvrit ses mains de la peau des chevreaux, et son cou qui était sans poil.
17 Et elle plaça dans la main de Jacob, son fils, le mets et le pain qu’elle avait préparés.
18 Il vint vers son père, et dit: Mon père! Et Isaac dit: Me voici! qui es-tu, mon fils?
19 Jacob répondit à son père: Je suis Ésaü, ton fils aîné; j’ai fait ce que tu m’as dit. Lève-toi, je te prie, assieds-toi, et mange de mon gibier, afin que ton âme me bénisse.
20 Isaac dit à son fils: Eh quoi! tu en as déjà trouvé, mon fils! Et Jacob répondit: C’est que l’Éternel, ton Dieu, l’a fait venir devant moi.
21 Isaac dit à Jacob: Approche donc, et que je te touche, mon fils, pour savoir si tu es mon fils Ésaü, ou non.
22 Jacob s’approcha d’Isaac, son père, qui le toucha, et dit: La voix est la voix de Jacob, mais les mains sont les mains d’Ésaü.
23 Il ne le reconnut pas, parce que ses mains étaient velues, comme les mains d’Ésaü, son frère; et il le bénit.
24 Il dit: C’est toi qui es mon fils Ésaü? Et Jacob répondit: C’est moi.
25 Isaac dit: Sers-moi, et que je mange du gibier de mon fils, afin que mon âme te bénisse. Jacob le servit, et il mangea; il lui apporta aussi du vin, et il but.
26 Alors Isaac, son père, lui dit: Approche donc, et baise-moi, mon fils.
27 Jacob s’approcha, et le baisa. Isaac sentit l’odeur de ses vêtements; puis il le bénit, et dit: Voici, l’odeur de mon fils est comme l’odeur d’un champ que l’Éternel a béni.
28 Que Dieu te donne de la rosée du ciel Et de la graisse de la terre, Du blé et du vin en abondance!
29 Que des peuples te soient soumis, Et que des nations se prosternent devant toi! Sois le maître de tes frères, Et que les fils de ta mère se prosternent devant toi! Maudit soit quiconque te maudira, Et béni soit quiconque te bénira.
30 Isaac avait fini de bénir Jacob, et Jacob avait à peine quitté son père Isaac, qu’Ésaü, son frère, revint de la chasse.
31 Il fit aussi un mets, qu’il porta à son père; et il dit à son père: Que mon père se lève et mange du gibier de son fils, afin que ton âme me bénisse!
32 Isaac, son père, lui dit: Qui es-tu? Et il répondit: Je suis ton fils aîné, Ésaü.
33 Isaac fut saisi d’une grande, d’une violente émotion, et il dit: Qui est donc celui qui a chassé du gibier, et me l’a apporté? J’ai mangé de tout avant que tu vinsses, et je l’ai béni. Aussi sera-t-il béni.
34 Lorsque Ésaü entendit les paroles de son père, il poussa de forts cris, pleins d’amertume, et il dit à son père: Bénis-moi aussi, mon père!
35 Isaac dit: Ton frère est venu avec ruse, et il a enlevé ta bénédiction.
36 Ésaü dit: Est-ce parce qu’on l’a appelé du nom de Jacob qu’il m’a supplanté deux fois? Il a enlevé mon droit d’aînesse, et voici maintenant qu’il vient d’enlever ma bénédiction. Et il dit: N’as-tu point réservé de bénédiction pour moi?
37 Isaac répondit, et dit à Ésaü: Voici, je l’ai établi ton maître, et je lui ai donné tous ses frères pour serviteurs, je l’ai pourvu de blé et de vin: que puis-je donc faire pour toi, mon fils?
38 Ésaü dit à son père: N’as-tu que cette seule bénédiction, mon père? Bénis-moi aussi, mon père! Et Ésaü éleva la voix, et pleura.
39 Isaac, son père, répondit, et lui dit: Voici! Ta demeure sera privée de la graisse de la terre Et de la rosée du ciel, d’en haut.
40 Tu vivras de ton épée, Et tu seras asservi à ton frère; Mais en errant librement çà et là, Tu briseras son joug de dessus ton cou.
41 Ésaü conçut de la haine contre Jacob, à cause de la bénédiction dont son père l’avait béni; et Ésaü disait en son coeur: Les jours du deuil de mon père vont approcher, et je tuerai Jacob, mon frère.
42 On rapporta à Rebecca les paroles d’Ésaü, son fils aîné. Elle fit alors appeler Jacob, son fils cadet, et elle lui dit: Voici, Ésaü, ton frère, veut tirer vengeance de toi, en te tuant.
43 Maintenant, mon fils, écoute ma voix! Lève-toi, fuis chez Laban, mon frère, à Charan;
44 et reste auprès de lui quelque temps,
45 jusqu’à ce que la fureur de ton frère s’apaise, jusqu’à ce que la colère de ton frère se détourne de toi, et qu’il oublie ce que tu lui as fait. Alors je te ferai revenir. Pourquoi serais-je privée de vous deux en un même jour?
46 Rebecca dit à Isaac: Je suis dégoûtée de la vie, à cause des filles de Heth. Si Jacob prend une femme, comme celles-ci, parmi les filles de Heth, parmi les filles du pays, à quoi me sert la vie?

Genesis 27

1 And it came to pass, that when Isaac was old, and his eyes were dim, so that he could not see, he called Esau his eldest son, and said unto him, My son: and he said unto him, Behold, here am I.
2 And he said, Behold now, I am old, I know not the day of my death:
3 Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison;
4 And make me savoury meat, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat; that my soul may bless thee before I die.
5 And Rebekah heard when Isaac spake to Esau his son. And Esau went to the field to hunt for venison, and to bring it.
6 And Rebekah spake unto Jacob her son, saying, Behold, I heard thy father speak unto Esau thy brother, saying,
7 Bring me venison, and make me savoury meat, that I may eat, and bless thee before the Lord before my death.
8 Now therefore, my son, obey my voice according to that which I command thee.
9 Go now to the flock, and fetch me from thence two good kids of the goats; and I will make them savoury meat for thy father, such as he loveth:
10 And thou shalt bring it to thy father, that he may eat, and that he may bless thee before his death.
11 And Jacob said to Rebekah his mother, Behold, Esau my brother is a hairy man, and I am a smooth man:
12 My father peradventure will feel me, and I shall seem to him as a deceiver; and I shall bring a curse upon me, and not a blessing.
13 And his mother said unto him, Upon me be thy curse, my son: only obey my voice, and go fetch me them.
14 And he went, and fetched, and brought them to his mother: and his mother made savoury meat, such as his father loved.
15 And Rebekah took goodly raiment of her eldest son Esau, which were with her in the house, and put them upon Jacob her younger son:
16 And she put the skins of the kids of the goats upon his hands, and upon the smooth of his neck:
17 And she gave the savoury meat and the bread, which she had prepared, into the hand of her son Jacob.
18 And he came unto his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I; who art thou, my son?
19 And Jacob said unto his father, I am Esau thy first born; I have done according as thou badest me: arise, I pray thee, sit and eat of my venison, that thy soul may bless me.
20 And Isaac said unto his son, How is it that thou hast found it so quickly, my son? And he said, Because the Lord thy God brought it to me.
21 And Isaac said unto Jacob, Come near, I pray thee, that I may feel thee, my son, whether thou be my very son Esau or not.
22 And Jacob went near unto Isaac his father; and he felt him, and said, The voice is Jacob’s voice, but the hands are the hands of Esau.
23 And he discerned him not, because his hands were hairy, as his brother Esau’s hands: so he blessed him.
24 And he said, Art thou my very son Esau? And he said, I am.
25 And he said, Bring it near to me, and I will eat of my son’s venison, that my soul may bless thee. And he brought it near to him, and he did eat: and he brought him wine and he drank.
26 And his father Isaac said unto him, Come near now, and kiss me, my son.
27 And he came near, and kissed him: and he smelled the smell of his raiment, and blessed him, and said, See, the smell of my son is as the smell of a field which the Lord hath blessed:
28 Therefore God give thee of the dew of heaven, and the fatness of the earth, and plenty of corn and wine:
29 Let people serve thee, and nations bow down to thee: be lord over thy brethren, and let thy mother’s sons bow down to thee: cursed be every one that curseth thee, and blessed be he that blesseth thee.
30 And it came to pass, as soon as Isaac had made an end of blessing Jacob, and Jacob was yet scarce gone out from the presence of Isaac his father, that Esau his brother came in from his hunting.
31 And he also had made savoury meat, and brought it unto his father, and said unto his father, Let my father arise, and eat of his son’s venison, that thy soul may bless me.
32 And Isaac his father said unto him, Who art thou? And he said, I am thy son, thy firstborn Esau.
33 And Isaac trembled very exceedingly, and said, Who? where is he that hath taken venison, and brought it me, and I have eaten of all before thou camest, and have blessed him? yea, and he shall be blessed.
34 And when Esau heard the words of his father, he cried with a great and exceeding bitter cry, and said unto his father, Bless me, even me also, O my father.
35 And he said, Thy brother came with subtilty, and hath taken away thy blessing.
36 And he said, Is not he rightly named Jacob? for he hath supplanted me these two times: he took away my birthright; and, behold, now he hath taken away my blessing. And he said, Hast thou not reserved a blessing for me?
37 And Isaac answered and said unto Esau, Behold, I have made him thy lord, and all his brethren have I given to him for servants; and with corn and wine have I sustained him: and what shall I do now unto thee, my son?
38 And Esau said unto his father, Hast thou but one blessing, my father? bless me, even me also, O my father. And Esau lifted up his voice, and wept.
39 And Isaac his father answered and said unto him, Behold, thy dwelling shall be the fatness of the earth, and of the dew of heaven from above;
40 And by thy sword shalt thou live, and shalt serve thy brother; and it shall come to pass when thou shalt have the dominion, that thou shalt break his yoke from off thy neck.
41 And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing wherewith his father blessed him: and Esau said in his heart, The days of mourning for my father are at hand; then will I slay my brother Jacob.
42 And these words of Esau her elder son were told to Rebekah: and she sent and called Jacob her younger son, and said unto him, Behold, thy brother Esau, as touching thee, doth comfort himself, purposing to kill thee.
43 Now therefore, my son, obey my voice; arise, flee thou to Laban my brother to Haran;
44 And tarry with him a few days, until thy brother’s fury turn away;
45 Until thy brother’s anger turn away from thee, and he forget that which thou hast done to him: then I will send, and fetch thee from thence: why should I be deprived also of you both in one day?
46 And Rebekah said to Isaac, I am weary of my life because of the daughters of Heth: if Jacob take a wife of the daughters of Heth, such as these which are of the daughters of the land, what good shall my life do me?
