1 Nou menm, moun fanmi Jakòb yo, men sa Seyè a ap di nou koulye a, li menm ki te kreye nou an. Nou menm moun Izrayèl yo, men sa l’ap di nou, li menm ki te fè nou ak men l’: -Nou pa bezwen pè anyen! M’ap toujou pwoteje nou. Se mwen menm ki te ban nou non nou pote a. Se pou mwen nou ye.
2 Lè n’ap pase sou lanmè, m’ap kanpe la avèk nou. Lè n’ap janbe gwo dlo, dlo a p’ap bwote nou ale. Lè n’ap mache nan mitan dife, dife p’ap boule nou. Flanm dife a p’ap fè nou anyen.
3 Paske mwen menm, mwen se Seyè a, Bondye nou an. Se Bondye pèp Izrayèl la ki yon Bondye apa. Se mwen menm k’ap delivre nou! Pou m’ te ka delivre nou mwen te bay peyi Lejip, peyi Letiopi ansanm ak peyi Seba a nan plas nou.
4 M’ap bay tout moun lòt nasyon yo pou m’ ka sove lavi nou, paske mwen konsidere nou anpil. Nou gen anpil valè pou mwen, mwen renmen nou anpil.
5 Nou pa bezwen pè anyen. Mwen la avèk nou. M’ap fè tout moun nou yo tounen lakay yo. M’ap sanble nou soti nan peyi sou bò solèy leve ak nan peyi sou bò solèy kouche.
6 M’ap di moun ki rete sou bò nan nò yo: Kite yo ale! M’ap di moun ki rete sou bò nan sid yo: Kite yo tounen! Kite pitit gason m’ yo tounen soti byen lwen. Kite pitit fi m’ yo tounen soti toupatou sou latè.
7 Se pèp mwen yo ye. Se mwen menm ki kreye yo pou yo ka sèvi yon lwanj pou mwen. Se mwen menm menm ki te fè yo. Se nan men mwen yo soti.
8 Seyè a di ankò: -Fè pèp la konparèt devan m’. Se yon bann moun ki gen je men ki pa wè. Yo gen zòrèy men yo pa tande.
9 Rele tout nasyon yo, fè yo tout reyini ansanm. Fè yo sanble nan tribinal la. Kilès nan bondye moun sa yo ki te di davans sa ki gen pou rive a? Kilès ki te fè nou konnen bagay k’ap rive koulye a? Fè bondye sa yo vini ak temwen ki pou kanpe pale pou yo. Lè y’a tande yo, y’a ba yo rezon!
10 Men pawòl Seyè a di: -Se nou menm menm ki pou sèvi m’ temwen. Se nou menm mwen te chwazi pou sèvi m’, pou nou konnen m’, pou nou kapab mete konfyans nou nan mwen, pou nou ka konprann se mwen menm sèl ki Bondye tout bon an. Anvan mwen, pa t’ gen lòt bondye. Apre mwen, p’ap gen lòt bondye.
11 Se mwen menm sèl ki Granmèt la, Seyè a. Pa gen lòt ki ka delivre nou pase mwen menm!
12 Se mwen menm ki te di nou davans sa ki gen pou rive. Se mwen menm ki delivre nou. Pa gen ankenn lòt bondye lòt nasyon yo ki janm fè sa pou nou. Nou menm, se temwen mwen nou ye. Se mwen ki Bondye. Se Seyè a menm ki di sa.
13 M’ pa janm chanje. Pesonn pa ka chape anba men mwen. Ki moun ki ka defèt sa mwen fè?
14 Men sa Seyè k’ap delivre nou an di: Men sa Bondye pèp Izrayèl la ki yon Bondye apa a di: -Pou m’ ka sove nou, m’ap voye yon lame mache sou lavil Babilòn. M’ap fè yo tout kouri met deyò. Wi, moun Kalde yo pral desann soti sou batiman ki te tout lògèy yo a.
15 Se mwen menm Seyè a, Bondye pa nou an, ki yon Bondye apa. Se mwen menm ki te kreye pèp Izrayèl la. Se mwen menm ki wa nou!
16 Nan tan lontan, se li menm, Seyè a, ki te louvri yon chemen nan mitan lanmè a pou nou. Li te fè yon wout nan mitan gwo dlo ki te fin debòde yo.
17 Li te fè moun yo sanble yon gwo lame ak anpil zam, anpil cha lagè ak tout chwal yo. Li fè yo tonbe atè, yo pa janm ka leve ankò. Yo mouri tankou yon bouji lè ou soufle sou li.
18 Men sa Seyè a di: Pa chita ap chonje tan lontan. Pa rete ap kalkile sa ki fin pase!
19 Men m’ap fè yon lòt bagay pou nou. Li konmanse rive deja. Nou pa wè li? Mwen pral fè yon wout nan mitan dezè a. Mwen pral fè gwo dlo koule nan savann lan.
20 Bèt nan bwa pral fè lwanj mwen. Chen mawon ak otrich pral fè fèt pou mwen. Paske m’ap mete dlo nan dezè a. M’ap fè gwo dlo koule nan savann lan pou pèp mwen chwazi pou rele m’ pa m’ lan ka jwenn dlo pou yo bwè.
21 Pèp mwen te fè pou mwen an va chante, l’a fè lwanj mwen.
22 Seyè a di: -Men se pa mwen menm nou te sèvi, nou menm fanmi Jakòb yo! Nou menm pèp Izrayèl la, nou te bouke avè m’.
23 Nou pa t’ ofri mouton nou yo pou yo te boule pou mwen. Se pa t’ pou fè lwanj mwen nou te touye bèt nou yo. Mwen pa t’ fòse nou fè ofrann grenn jaden nou yo pou mwen. Mwen pa t’ fatige nou pou lansan nou pa boule pou mwen.
24 Nou pa t’ depanse lajan nou achte lansan pou mwen. Ni nou pa t’ ofri m’ grès bèt nou touye yo pou sa te fè m’ plezi. Men, se nou menm ki kraze m’ ak peche nou yo. Se nou menm ki fatige m’ ak mechanste n’ap fè yo.
25 Se mwen menm ankò k’ap efase tou sa nou fè ki mal. Se paske se mwen kifè m’ap fè l’. Mwen p’ap kenbe nou nan kè poutèt peche nou yo.
26 Ede m’ chonje sa ki te pase. Ann konparèt ansanm nan tribinal la. Ou pral pale pou defann tèt ou, pou fè wè se ou ki gen rezon.
27 Premye zansèt nou an te fè sa li pa t’ dwe fè. Mesaje nou yo te vire do ban mwen.
28 Se poutèt sa mwen avili moun ki reskonsab kay yo mete apa pou mwen an. Se poutèt sa mwen lage fanmi Jakòb la pou yo detwi yo nèt. Mwen kite yo pase moun pèp Izrayèl yo nan betiz.

Ésaïe 43
1 Ainsi parle maintenant l’Éternel, qui t’a créé, ô Jacob! Celui qui t’a formé, ô Israël! Ne crains rien, car je te rachète, Je t’appelle par ton nom: tu es à moi!
2 Si tu traverses les eaux, je serai avec toi; Et les fleuves, ils ne te submergeront point; Si tu marches dans le feu, tu ne te brûleras pas, Et la flamme ne t’embrasera pas.
3 Car je suis l’Éternel, ton Dieu, Le Saint d’Israël, ton sauveur; Je donne l’Égypte pour ta rançon, L’Éthiopie et Saba à ta place.
4 Parce que tu as du prix à mes yeux, Parce que tu es honoré et que je t’aime, Je donne des hommes à ta place, Et des peuples pour ta vie.
5 Ne crains rien, car je suis avec toi; Je ramènerai de l’orient ta race, Et je te rassemblerai de l’occident.
6 Je dirai au septentrion: Donne! Et au midi: Ne retiens point! Fais venir mes fils des pays lointains, Et mes filles de l’extrémité de la terre,
7 Tous ceux qui s’appellent de mon nom, Et que j’ai créés pour ma gloire, Que j’ai formés et que j’ai faits.
8 Qu’on fasse sortir le peuple aveugle, qui a des yeux, Et les sourds, qui ont des oreilles.
9 Que toutes les nations se rassemblent, Et que les peuples se réunissent. Qui d’entre eux a annoncé ces choses? Lesquels nous ont fait entendre les premières prédictions? Qu’ils produisent leurs témoins et établissent leur droit; Qu’on écoute et qu’on dise: C’est vrai!
10 Vous êtes mes témoins, dit l’Éternel, Vous, et mon serviteur que j’ai choisi, Afin que vous le sachiez, Que vous me croyiez et compreniez que c’est moi: Avant moi il n’a point été formé de Dieu, Et après moi il n’y en aura point.
11 C’est moi, moi qui suis l’Éternel, Et hors moi il n’y a point de sauveur.
12 C’est moi qui ai annoncé, sauvé, prédit, Ce n’est point parmi vous un dieu étranger; Vous êtes mes témoins, dit l’Éternel, C’est moi qui suis Dieu.
13 Je le suis dès le commencement, Et nul ne délivre de ma main; J’agirai: qui s’y opposera?
14 Ainsi parle l’Éternel, Votre rédempteur, le Saint d’Israël: A cause de vous, j’envoie l’ennemi contre Babylone, Et je fais descendre tous les fuyards, Même les Chaldéens, sur les navires dont ils tiraient gloire.
15 Je suis l’Éternel, votre Saint, Le créateur d’Israël, votre roi.
16 Ainsi parle l’Éternel, Qui fraya dans la mer un chemin, Et dans les eaux puissantes un sentier,
17 Qui mit en campagne des chars et des chevaux, Une armée et de vaillants guerriers, Soudain couchés ensemble, pour ne plus se relever, Anéantis, éteints comme une mèche:
18 Ne pensez plus aux événements passés, Et ne considérez plus ce qui est ancien.
19 Voici, je vais faire une chose nouvelle, sur le point d’arriver: Ne la connaîtrez-vous pas? Je mettrai un chemin dans le désert, Et des fleuves dans la solitude.
20 Les bêtes des champs me glorifieront, Les chacals et les autruches, Parce que j’aurai mis des eaux dans le désert, Des fleuves dans la solitude, Pour abreuver mon peuple, mon élu.
21 Le peuple que je me suis formé Publiera mes louanges.
22 Et tu ne m’as pas invoqué, ô Jacob! Car tu t’es lassé de moi, ô Israël!
23 Tu ne m’as pas offert tes brebis en holocauste, Et tu ne m’as pas honoré par tes sacrifices; Je ne t’ai point tourmenté pour des offrandes, Et je ne t’ai point fatigué pour de l’encens.
24 Tu n’as pas à prix d’argent acheté pour moi des aromates, Et tu ne m’as pas rassasié de la graisse de tes sacrifices; Mais tu m’as tourmenté par tes péchés, Tu m’as fatigué par tes iniquités.
25 C’est moi, moi qui efface tes transgressions pour l’amour de moi, Et je ne me souviendrai plus de tes péchés.
26 Réveille ma mémoire, plaidons ensemble, Parle toi-même, pour te justifier.
27 Ton premier père a péché, Et tes interprètes se sont rebellés contre moi.
28 C’est pourquoi j’ai traité en profanes les chefs du sanctuaire, J’ai livré Jacob à la destruction, Et Israël aux outrages.

Isaiah 43
1 But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
3 For I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.
4 Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.
5 Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west;
6 I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth;
7 Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.
8 Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears.
9 Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this, and shew us former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, It is truth.
10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
11 I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour.
12 I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, that I am God.
13 Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it?
14 Thus saith the Lord, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and have brought down all their nobles, and the Chaldeans, whose cry is in the ships.
15 I am the Lord, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King.
16 Thus saith the Lord, which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters;
17 Which bringeth forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power; they shall lie down together, they shall not rise: they are extinct, they are quenched as tow.
18 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.
19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
20 The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen.
21 This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.
22 But thou hast not called upon me, O Jacob; but thou hast been weary of me, O Israel.
23 Thou hast not brought me the small cattle of thy burnt offerings; neither hast thou honoured me with thy sacrifices. I have not caused thee to serve with an offering, nor wearied thee with incense.
24 Thou hast bought me no sweet cane with money, neither hast thou filled me with the fat of thy sacrifices: but thou hast made me to serve with thy sins, thou hast wearied me with thine iniquities.
25 I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.
26 Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.
27 Thy first father hath sinned, and thy teachers have transgressed against me.
28 Therefore I have profaned the princes of the sanctuary, and have given Jacob to the curse, and Israel to reproaches.
