1 Se poutèt sa, menm jan Kris la te soufri nan kò li, nou menm tou se pou nou pare pou n’ soufri menm jan an tou. Paske, lè yon moun soufri nan kò li, li pa gen anyen pou l’ wè ak peche ankò.
2 Se pou li viv ti rès tan li gen pou l’ viv sou tè a dapre egzijans volonte Bondye, pa dapre egzijans lachè.
3 Paske, nan tan lontan, nou te gen kont tan nou pou n’ te fè tou sa moun ki pa konnen Bondye yo ap fè. Lè sa a, nou t’ap viv nan libètinaj, nan lanvi, nan bwè tafya, nan debòch, nan banbòch, nan sèvi zidòl, bagay lalwa defann nou fè.
4 Koulye a, moun sa yo twouve sa dwòl dèske nou pa fè bann ak yo ankò nan tout eksè sa yo. Se poutèt sa, y’ap pale nou mal.
5 Men, yo gen pou yo rann kont bay Bondye ki deja pare pou jije ni moun ki vivan yo ni moun ki mouri yo.
6 Se pou sa menm yo te anonse bon nouvèl la bay moun ki mouri yo. Konsa, si lè yo te sou latè yo te tonbe anba jijman Bondye tankou tout moun, koulye a yo ka viv nan pouvwa Lespri Bondye a, jan Bondye vle l’ la.
7 Tout bagay prèt pou fini. Se pou nou kenbe tèt nou anplas, veye kò nou pou n’ ka lapriyè.
8 Anvan tout bagay, se pou nou yonn renmen lòt anpil. Paske, lè nou renmen, sa fè Bondye padonnen anpil peche.
9 Se pou nou yonn resevwa lòt lakay nou san plenyen.
10 Chak moun dwe pran kado Bondye ba yo a pou yo rann lòt yo sèvis. Konsa, tankou bon jeran, n’a pran kado Bondye yo, ki divès kalite, n’a fè yo travay.
11 Si yon moun ap pale, se pou l’ pale tankou si se te pawòl Bondye li t’ap di. Si yon moun ap rann sèvis, se pou li fè l’ ak fòs Bondye ba li. Konsa, nan tout bagay lwanj lan va pou Bondye, gremesi Jezikri. Se pou Jezikri tout lwanj ak tout pouvwa pou tout tan. Amèn.
12 Frè m’ yo, nou pa bezwen sezi devan gwo eprèv sa yo k’ap tonbe sou nou tankou yon gwo dife. Nou pa bezwen konprann sa se yon bagay estwòdenè k’ap rive nou la a.
13 Okontrè, fè kè n’ kontan. Paske, menm jan nou patisipe nan soufrans Kris yo, konsa tou n’a kontan nèt ale lè gwo pouvwa Kris la va parèt.
14 Si yo joure nou paske n’ap swiv Kris la, konsidere sa tankou yon benediksyon. Paske, Lespri ki gen gwo pouvwa a, Lespri Bondye a nan nou.
15 Mwen swete pou pesonn nan nou pa gen pou li soufri paske li te touye moun, osinon paske li te fè sa ki mal, osinon paske li te foure bouch li nan zafè ki pa gade li.
16 Men, si yon moun ap soufri paske se kretyen li ye, li pa bezwen wont pou sa. Okontrè, se pou li fè lwanj Bondye dèske li pote non Kris la.
17 Paske, dat la rive pou jijman Bondye a konmanse. L’ap konmanse ak moun ki nan kay Bondye a anvan. Si li konmanse ak nou, nou pa bezwen mande sak pral rive moun sa yo ki pa koute bon nouvèl Bondye a.
18 Tankou sa ekri nan Liv la: Si moun k’ap viv dwat devan Bondye yo pa fasil pou sove, nou pa bezwen mande sa k’ap rive moun ki pa kwè nan Bondye yo, moun k’ap viv nan peche yo.
19 Se poutèt sa, moun k’ap soufri paske se sa Bondye vle pou yo a, se pou yo pa sispann fè sa ki byen, se pou yo renmèt nanm yo nan men Bondye ki kreye yo, epi ki p’ap lage yo.

1 Ainsi donc, Christ ayant souffert dans la chair, vous aussi armez-vous de la même pensée. Car celui qui a souffert dans la chair en a fini avec le péché,
2 afin de vivre, non plus selon les convoitises des hommes, mais selon la volonté de Dieu, pendant le temps qui lui reste à vivre dans la chair.
3 C’est assez, en effet, d’avoir dans le temps passé accompli la volonté des païens, en marchant dans la dissolution, les convoitises, l’ivrognerie, les excès du manger et du boire, et les idolâtries criminelles.
4 Aussi trouvent-ils étrange que vous ne vous précipitiez pas avec eux dans le même débordement de débauche, et ils vous calomnient.
5 Ils rendront compte à celui qui est prêt à juger les vivants et les morts.
6 Car l’Évangile a été aussi annoncé aux morts, afin que, après avoir été jugés comme les hommes quant à la chair, ils vivent selon Dieu quant à l’Esprit.
7 La fin de toutes choses est proche. Soyez donc sages et sobres, pour vaquer à la prière.
8 Avant tout, ayez les uns pour les autres une ardente charité, car La charité couvre une multitude de péchés.
9 Exercez l’hospitalité les uns envers les autres, sans murmures.
10 Comme de bons dispensateurs des diverses grâces de Dieu, que chacun de vous mette au service des autres le don qu’il a reçu,
11 Si quelqu’un parle, que ce soit comme annonçant les oracles de Dieu; si quelqu’un remplit un ministère, qu’il le remplisse selon la force que Dieu communique, afin qu’en toutes choses Dieu soit glorifié par Jésus Christ, à qui appartiennent la gloire et la puissance, aux siècles des siècles. Amen!
12 Bien-aimés, ne soyez pas surpris, comme d’une chose étrange qui vous arrive, de la fournaise qui est au milieu de vous pour vous éprouver.
13 Réjouissez-vous, au contraire, de la part que vous avez aux souffrances de Christ, afin que vous soyez aussi dans la joie et dans l’allégresse lorsque sa gloire apparaîtra.
14 Si vous êtes outragés pour le nom de Christ, vous êtes heureux, parce que l’Esprit de gloire, l’Esprit de Dieu, repose sur vous.
15 Que nul de vous, en effet, ne souffre comme meurtrier, ou voleur, ou malfaiteur, ou comme s’ingérant dans les affaires d’autrui.
16 Mais si quelqu’un souffre comme chrétien, qu’il n’en ait point honte, et que plutôt il glorifie Dieu à cause de ce nom.
17 Car c’est le moment où le jugement va commencer par la maison de Dieu. Or, si c’est par nous qu’il commence, quelle sera la fin de ceux qui n’obéissent pas à l’Évangile de Dieu?
18 Et si le juste se sauve avec peine, que deviendront l’impie et le pécheur?
19 Ainsi, que ceux qui souffrent selon la volonté de Dieu remettent leurs âmes au fidèle Créateur, en faisant ce qui est bien.

1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
3 For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:
4 Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:
5 Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead.
6 For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.
7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
9 Use hospitality one to another without grudging.
10 As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.
15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men’s matters.
16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.
17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.
