1 Madichon pou chèf sa yo ki tankou move gadò k’ap touye, k’ap gaye bann mouton m’ mete sou kont yo a. Se Seyè a menm ki di sa.
2 Se poutèt sa, men sa Seyè a, Bondye pèp Izrayèl la, di sou chèf li mete reskonsab pèp li a: Nou gaye tout mouton m’ yo. Nou lage yo nan bwa, nou pa okipe yo. Mwen pral regle nou pou tout mechanste nou yo. Se mwen menm, Seyè a, ki di sa.
3 M’ap sanble sa ki rete nan pèp mwen an, m’ pral pran yo nan tout peyi kote mwen te gaye yo a, m’ap fè yo tounen lakay yo. Y’a fè anpil pitit, y’a peple.
4 M’a mete lòt chèf ki va okipe yo. Pèp mwen an p’ap pè anyen ankò, yo p’ap viv ak kè sote ankò. Yonn ladan yo p’ap pèdi. Se mwen menm Seyè a ki di sa.
5 Seyè a di ankò: -Yon jou ap vini. Lè sa a, m’a chwazi yon moun ki dwat nan fanmi David la pou wa. L’a gouvènen yo ak bon konprann. L’a fè sa ki dwat, l’a mete jistis nan tout peyi a.
6 Sou rèy wa sa a, pèp Jida a va sove, pèp Izrayèl la va viv ak kè poze nan peyi l’. Y’a rele wa a: Seyè a, Delivrans nou.
7 Seyè a di ankò: Se poutèt sa yon jou va rive lè moun pèp Izrayèl yo p’ap di lè y’ap fè sèman: Se nan non Seyè ki vivan an, li menm ki te fè nou soti kite peyi Lejip.
8 Lè sa a y’a di: Se nan non Seyè ki vivan an, li menm ki te fè pitit pitit moun pèp Izrayèl yo soti kite peyi nan nò a ak nan tout lòt peyi kote li te gaye yo pou yo vin rete nan peyi ki rele yo pa yo a.
9 Mesaj sou pwofèt yo: -Kè m’ ap fann! M’ap tranble nan tout kò m’. Mwen tankou yon moun ki sou, yon moun ki bwè twòp. Se Seyè a ki lakòz sa avèk pawòl li yo ki pawòl Bondye tout bon.
10 Peyi a plen moun ki vire do bay Bondye. Madichon Bondye fè tout peyi a nan lapenn. Jaden zèb yo fin cheche. Tout moun deyò pou fè sa ki mal. Yo pran fòs kouraj yo pou fè sa ki pa dwat.
11 Seyè a di ankò: -Pwofèt yo ansanm ak prèt yo, se yon bann moun ki pa konn Bondye. Mwen bare yo ap fè sa ki mal nan Tanp lan menm.
12 Enben, chemen yo pran an pral tankou yon tè glise nan fènwa pou yo. Yo pral pèdi wout yo, yo pral tonbe. Mwen pral voye yon sèl malè sou yo lè lè a va rive pou m’ pini yo. Se mwen menm, Seyè a, ki di sa.
13 Mwen wè pwofèt lavil Samari yo ap fè bagay ki pa fè m’ plezi. Y’ap bay mesaj nan non Baal. Yo fè pèp mwen an, pèp Izrayèl la, pèdi chemen l’.
14 Men, sa m’ wè pwofèt lavil Jerizalèm yo ap fè a ban m’ degoutans. Y’ap sèvi lòt bondye sou mwen. Y’ap plede bay manti. Y’ap ede moun yo fè mechanste. Konsa, pesonn pa sispann fè sa ki mal. Pou mwen, yo tankou moun lavil Sodòm ak lavil Gomò yo.
15 Se poutèt sa, men sa Seyè ki gen tout pouvwa a di sou pwofèt yo: -Mwen pral ba yo zèb anmè pou yo manje. Mwen pral ba yo dlo pwazonnen pou yo bwè, paske pwofèt Jerizalèm yo lakòz tout moun nan peyi a lage kò yo nan fè sa ki mal.
16 Men sa Seyè a di moun Jerizalèm yo: -Pa koute sa pwofèt sa yo ap di nou lè y’ap ban nou mesaj. Se manti y’ap ban nou pou yo ka pran tèt nou. Se sa ki vin nan tèt yo y’ap di pèl la. Sa yo di a pa soti nan mwen.
17 Yo pale ak moun ki derefize koute m’ yo, y’ap di yo: Tout bagay ap mache byen pou nou. Yo pale ak tout moun ki soti pou kenbe tèt avè m’, y’ap di yo: Anyen p’ap rive nou!
18 Mwen di: Pa gen yonn ladan yo ki te la lè Seyè a t’ap fè plan travay li. Yo yonn pa t’ wè, yo yonn pa t’ tande sa Seyè a te di. Yo yonn pa t’ louvri zòrèy yo pou yo te koute sa li t’ap di.
19 Lè Bondye ankòlè se tankou yon van tanpèt, yon siklòn k’ap tonbe sou tèt mechan yo.
20 Li p’ap sispann toutotan li pa fin fè tou sa li soti pou li fè a. Nan jou k’ap vini yo, pèp la va konprann sa pi byen.
21 Seyè a di ankò: Se pa mwen ki voye pwofèt sa yo. Men, y’ap kouri ale toupatou. Mwen pa menm pale ak yo. Men, y’ap mache pale nan non mwen.
22 Si yo te la lè m’ t’ap fè plan travay mwen an, yo ta fè pèp la konnen mesaj mwen voye ba yo a, yo ta fè pèp la kite vye chemen y’ap swiv la, yo ta fè l’ sispann fè sa ki mal.
23 Seyè a di: Mwen se yon Bondye ki toupatou. Mwen pa rete yon sèl kote ase.
24 Pa gen kote yon moun ka al kache pou m’ pa wè l’. Nou pa konnen mwen toupatou nan syèl la ak sou latè a? Se Seyè a menm ki di sa.
25 Mwen tande tou sa pwofèt yo di lè yo pran non m’ pou bay manti, lè yo pretann yo te fè vizyon nan rèv.
26 Kilè y’a sispann, pwofèt sa yo k’ap bay manti, k’ap bay mesaj ki pa vre, k’ap twonpe pèp la ak pawòl manti ki nan bouch yo?
27 Yo konprann yo ka fè pèp la bliye m’ ak bann rèv y’ap plede rakonte yo, menm jan zansèt yo te bliye m’ pou y’ al dèyè Baal?
28 Lè yon pwofèt fè yon rèv, se pou l’ di se yon rèv li fè. Men, pwofèt ki resevwa mesaj mwen, li fèt pou l’ bay mesaj la jan l’ ye a. Piga nou pran pay la pou grenn lan. Se Seyè a menm ki di sa.
29 Mesaj mwen tankou dife, tankou mato k’ap kraze wòch an miyèt moso. Se mwen menm menm, Seyè a, ki di sa.
30 Se poutèt sa mwen pral regle ak pwofèt yo k’ap pran pawòl yonn nan bouch lòt, pou fè l’ pase pou mesaj mwen.
31 Mwen pral regle ak pwofèt sa yo k’ap bay pawòl pa yo pou mesaj y’ap bay nan non mwen.
32 Tande byen sa m’ap di: Mwen pral regle ak pwofèt sa yo k’ap rakonte rèv ki plen manti. Lè konsa, yo fè pèp mwen an pèdi tèt li ak manti y’ap ba li, ak bèl pawòl y’ap di pou tèt pa yo. Se pa mwen ki te voye yo. Se pa mwen ki te ba yo lòd ale. Yo pa ka fè anyen menm pou pèp la. Se mwen menm Seyè a ki pale.
33 Seyè a di m’: -Jeremi, lè yon moun nan pèp la, osinon yon pwofèt, ou ankò yon prèt mande ou ki chay Seyè a ban nou pote, w’a reponn yo: Se nou menm ki yon chay pou Seyè a. Li pral lage nou atè. Se Seyè a menm ki di sa.
34 Lè yon moun nan pèp la, osinon yon pwofèt, ou ankò yon prèt va pale mal sou chay Seyè a bay pote a, m’ap pini l’ ansanm ak tout fanmi li.
35 Okontrè, chak moun gen pou mande zanmi yo ak fanmi yo kisa Seyè a reponn, kisa li di ki pral rive.
36 Konsa, piga nou pale sou chay Seyè a bay ankò paske m’ap fè mesaj mwen an tounen yon chay tout bon pou nou. Nou pran pawòl Bondye vivan an, pawòl Seyè ki gen tout pouvwa a, pawòl Bondye nou an, nou vire l’ lanvè.
37 Jeremi, mande pwofèt yo ki repons Seyè a bay? Kisa Seyè a di ki pral rive?
38 Si yo reponn: Men chay Seyè a bay, lè sa a w’a di yo, men sa Seyè a di: Paske nou di: Men chay Seyè a bay, atout mwen te ban nou lòd pa di sa,
39 m’ap pran nou leve anlè, m’ap voye nou jete byen lwen mwen, ni nou, ni lavil mwen te bay pou nou ansanm ak pou zansèt nou yo.
40 M’ap fè nou wont yon wont ki p’ap janm fini, yon wont moun p’ap janm bliye.

Jérémie 23
1 Malheur aux pasteurs qui détruisent et dispersent Le troupeau de mon pâturage! dit l’Éternel.
2 C’est pourquoi ainsi parle l’Éternel, le Dieu d’Israël, Sur les pasteurs qui paissent mon peuple: Vous avez dispersé mes brebis, vous les avez chassées, Vous n’en avez pas pris soin; Voici, je vous châtierai à cause de la méchanceté de vos actions, Dit l’Éternel.
3 Et je rassemblerai le reste de mes brebis De tous les pays où je les ai chassées; Je les ramènerai dans leur pâturage; Elles seront fécondes et multiplieront.
4 J’établirai sur elles des pasteurs qui les paîtront; Elles n’auront plus de crainte, plus de terreur, Et il n’en manquera aucune, dit l’Éternel.
5 Voici, les jours viennent, dit l’Éternel, Où je susciterai à David un germe juste; Il régnera en roi et prospérera, Il pratiquera la justice et l’équité dans le pays.
6 En son temps, Juda sera sauvé, Israël aura la sécurité dans sa demeure; Et voici le nom dont on l’appellera: L’Éternel notre justice.
7 C’est pourquoi voici, les jours viennent, dit l’Éternel, Où l’on ne dira plus: L’Éternel est vivant, Lui qui a fait monter du pays d’Égypte les enfants d’Israël!
8 Mais on dira: L’Éternel est vivant, Lui qui a fait monter et qui a ramené La postérité de la maison d’Israël du pays du septentrion Et de tous les pays où je les avais chassés! Et ils habiteront dans leur pays.
9 Sur les prophètes. Mon coeur est brisé au dedans de moi, Tous mes os tremblent; Je suis comme un homme ivre, Comme un homme pris de vin, A cause de l’Éternel et à cause de ses paroles saintes.
10 Car le pays est rempli d’adultères; Le pays est en deuil à cause de la malédiction; Les plaines du désert sont desséchées. Ils courent au mal, Ils n’ont de la force que pour l’iniquité.
11 Prophètes et sacrificateurs sont corrompus; Même dans ma maison j’ai trouvé leur méchanceté, Dit l’Éternel.
12 C’est pourquoi leur chemin sera glissant et ténébreux, Ils seront poussés et ils tomberont; Car je ferai venir sur eux le malheur, L’année où je les châtierai, dit l’Éternel.
13 Dans les prophètes de Samarie j’ai vu de l’extravagance; Ils ont prophétisé par Baal, Ils ont égaré mon peuple d’Israël.
14 Mais dans les prophètes de Jérusalem j’ai vu des choses horribles; Ils sont adultères, ils marchent dans le mensonge; Ils fortifient les mains des méchants, Afin qu’aucun ne revienne de sa méchanceté; Ils sont tous à mes yeux comme Sodome, Et les habitants de Jérusalem comme Gomorrhe.
15 C’est pourquoi ainsi parle l’Éternel des armées sur les prophètes: Voici, je vais les nourrir d’absinthe, Et je leur ferai boire des eaux empoisonnées; Car c’est par les prophètes de Jérusalem Que l’impiété s’est répandue dans tout le pays.
16 Ainsi parle l’Éternel des armées: N’écoutez pas les paroles des prophètes qui vous prophétisent! Ils vous entraînent à des choses de néant; Ils disent les visions de leur coeur, Et non ce qui vient de la bouche de l’Éternel.
17 Ils disent à ceux qui me méprisent: L’Éternel a dit: Vous aurez la paix; Et ils disent à tous ceux qui suivent les penchants de leur coeur: Il ne vous arrivera aucun mal.
18 Qui donc a assisté au conseil de l’Éternel Pour voir, pour écouter sa parole? Qui a prêté l’oreille à sa parole, qui l’a entendue?
19 Voici, la tempête de l’Éternel, la fureur éclate, L’orage se précipite, Il fond sur la tête des méchants.
20 La colère de l’Éternel ne se calmera pas, Jusqu’à ce qu’il ait accompli, exécuté les desseins de son coeur. Vous le comprendrez dans la suite des temps.
21 Je n’ai point envoyé ces prophètes, et ils ont couru; Je ne leur ai point parlé, et ils ont prophétisé.
22 S’ils avaient assisté à mon conseil, Ils auraient dû faire entendre mes paroles à mon peuple, Et les faire revenir de leur mauvaise voie, De la méchanceté de leurs actions.
23 Ne suis-je un Dieu que de près, dit l’Éternel, Et ne suis-je pas aussi un Dieu de loin?
24 Quelqu’un se tiendra-t-il dans un lieu caché, Sans que je le voie? dit l’Éternel. Ne remplis-je pas, moi, les cieux et la terre? dit l’Éternel.
25 J’ai entendu ce que disent les prophètes Qui prophétisent en mon nom le mensonge, disant: J’ai eu un songe! j’ai eu un songe!
26 Jusques à quand ces prophètes veulent-ils prophétiser le mensonge, Prophétiser la tromperie de leur coeur?
27 Ils pensent faire oublier mon nom à mon peuple Par les songes que chacun d’eux raconte à son prochain, Comme leurs pères ont oublié mon nom pour Baal.
28 Que le prophète qui a eu un songe raconte ce songe, Et que celui qui a entendu ma parole rapporte fidèlement ma parole. Pourquoi mêler la paille au froment? dit l’Éternel.
29 Ma parole n’est-elle pas comme un feu, dit l’Éternel, Et comme un marteau qui brise le roc?
30 C’est pourquoi voici, dit l’Éternel, j’en veux aux prophètes Qui se dérobent mes paroles l’un à l’autre.
31 Voici, dit l’Éternel, j’en veux aux prophètes Qui prennent leur propre parole et la donnent pour ma parole.
32 Voici, dit l’Éternel, j’en veux à ceux qui prophétisent des songes faux, Qui les racontent, et qui égarent mon peuple Par leurs mensonges et par leur témérité; Je ne les ai point envoyés, je ne leur ai point donné d’ordre, Et ils ne sont d’aucune utilité à ce peuple, dit l’Éternel.
33 Si ce peuple, ou un prophète, ou un sacrificateur te demande: Quelle est la menace de l’Éternel? Tu leur diras quelle est cette menace: Je vous rejetterai, dit l’Éternel.
34 Et le prophète, le sacrificateur, ou celui du peuple Qui dira: Menace de l’Éternel, Je le châtierai, lui et sa maison.
35 Vous direz, chacun à son prochain, chacun à son frère: Qu’a répondu l’Éternel? Qu’a dit l’Éternel?
36 Mais vous ne direz plus: Menace de l’Éternel! Car la parole de chacun sera pour lui une menace; Vous tordez les paroles du Dieu vivant, De l’Éternel des armées, notre Dieu.
37 Tu diras au prophète: Que t’a répondu l’Éternel? Qu’a dit l’Éternel?
38 Et si vous dites encore: Menace de l’Éternel! Alors ainsi parle l’Éternel: Parce que vous dites ce mot: Menace de l’Éternel! Quoique j’aie envoyé vers vous pour dire: Vous ne direz pas: Menace de l’Éternel!
39 A cause de cela voici, je vous oublierai, Et je vous rejetterai, vous et la ville Que j’avais donnée à vous et à vos pères, Je vous rejetterai loin de ma face;
40 Je mettrai sur vous un opprobre éternel Et une honte éternelle, Qui ne s’oublieront pas.

Jeremiah 23
1 Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the Lord.
2 Therefore thus saith the Lord God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the Lord.
3 And I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all countries whither I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase.
4 And I will set up shepherds over them which shall feed them: and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be lacking, saith the Lord.
5 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.
6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, The Lord Our Righteousness.
7 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that they shall no more say, The Lord liveth, which brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;
8 But, The Lord liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land.
9 Mine heart within me is broken because of the prophets; all my bones shake; I am like a drunken man, and like a man whom wine hath overcome, because of the Lord, and because of the words of his holiness.
10 For the land is full of adulterers; for because of swearing the land mourneth; the pleasant places of the wilderness are dried up, and their course is evil, and their force is not right.
11 For both prophet and priest are profane; yea, in my house have I found their wickedness, saith the Lord.
12 Wherefore their way shall be unto them as slippery ways in the darkness: they shall be driven on, and fall therein: for I will bring evil upon them, even the year of their visitation, saith the Lord.
13 And I have seen folly in the prophets of Samaria; they prophesied in Baal, and caused my people Israel to err.
14 I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness; they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah.
15 Therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts concerning the prophets; Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water of gall: for from the prophets of Jerusalem is profaneness gone forth into all the land.
16 Thus saith the Lord of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the Lord.
17 They say still unto them that despise me, The Lord hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you.
18 For who hath stood in the counsel of the Lord, and hath perceived and heard his word? who hath marked his word, and heard it?
19 Behold, a whirlwind of the Lord is gone forth in fury, even a grievous whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked.
20 The anger of the Lord shall not return, until he have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly.
21 I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.
22 But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.
23 Am I a God at hand, saith the Lord, and not a God afar off?
24 Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord.
25 I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed.
26 How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart;
27 Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name for Baal.
28 The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the Lord.
29 Is not my word like as a fire? saith the Lord; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?
30 Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith the Lord, that steal my words every one from his neighbour.
31 Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the Lord, that use their tongues, and say, He saith.
32 Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the Lord, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the Lord.
33 And when this people, or the prophet, or a priest, shall ask thee, saying, What is the burden of the Lord? thou shalt then say unto them, What burden? I will even forsake you, saith the Lord.
34 And as for the prophet, and the priest, and the people, that shall say, The burden of the Lord, I will even punish that man and his house.
35 Thus shall ye say every one to his neighbour, and every one to his brother, What hath the Lord answered? and, What hath the Lord spoken?
36 And the burden of the Lord shall ye mention no more: for every man’s word shall be his burden; for ye have perverted the words of the living God, of the Lord of hosts our God.
37 Thus shalt thou say to the prophet, What hath the Lord answered thee? and, What hath the Lord spoken?
38 But since ye say, The burden of the Lord; therefore thus saith the Lord; Because ye say this word, The burden of the Lord, and I have sent unto you, saying, Ye shall not say, The burden of the Lord;
39 Therefore, behold, I, even I, will utterly forget you, and I will forsake you, and the city that I gave you and your fathers, and cast you out of my presence:
40 And I will bring an everlasting reproach upon you, and a perpetual shame, which shall not be forgotten.
