1 Izrayèl pati avèk tout sa li te genyen. li al Bècheba, li touye bèt, li ofri yo bay Bondye Izarak, papa li.
2 Jou lannwit sa a, Bondye pale ak Izrayèl nan rèv, li di l’: -Jakòb! Jakòb! Jakòb reponn: -Men mwen wi.
3 Bondye di li: -Mwen se Bondye, Bondye papa ou la. Ou pa bezwen pè desann ale nan peyi Lejip paske m’ap fè pitit pitit ou yo tounen yon gwo pèp laba a.
4 M’ap desann avè ou nan peyi Lejip, m’ap fè pitit pitit ou yo tounen isit la ankò. Se Jozèf ki va fèmen je ou lè wa mouri.
5  Jakòb pati, li kite Bècheba. Pitit Izrayèl yo pran Jakòb, papa yo, ansanm ak timoun yo ak madanm yo, yo fè yo moute sou cha farawon an te voye pou yo vwayaje a.
6 Yo pran tout bèt ak tout byen yo te fè nan peyi Kanaran an. Yo desann nan peyi Lejip. Yo mennen Jakòb desann nan peyi Lejip ak tout pitit pitit li yo.
7 Jakòb pran pitit gason l’ yo ak pitit fi l’ yo, pitit pitit li yo, fi kou gason, li desann nan peyi Lejip ak yo tout.
8 Men non pitit Izrayèl yo ansanm ak pitit pitit yo ki te desann nan peyi Lejip: Jakòb ak pitit gason l’ yo. Premye gason an te rele Woubenn.
9 Men non pitit Woubenn yo: Enòk, Palou, Ezwon ak Kami.
10 Men non pitit Simeyon yo: Jemouyèl, Jamen, Orad, Jaken, Zoka ak Sayil. Li te fè dènye sa a ak yon fanm peyi Kanaran.
11 Men non pitit gason Levi yo: Gèchon, Keyat ak Merari.
12 Men non pitit gason Jida yo: Er, Onan, Chela, Perèz ak Zerak. Men Er ak Onan te mouri nan peyi Kanaran. Perèz te gen de pitit gason: Ezwon ak Amoul.
13 Men non pitit Isaka yo: Tola, Pouva, Jòb ak Chimwon.
14 Men non pitit Zabilon yo: Serèd, Elon ak Jaleyèl.
15 Se pitit sa yo Leya te fè pou Jakòb lè yo te Mezopotami. Leya te fè yon fi tout yo te rele Dena. Avèk pitit pitit yo, sa te fè antou tranntwa gason ak yon fi.
16 Men non pitit gason Gad yo: Zifjon, Agi, Chouni, Ezbon, Eri, Awodi ak Areyèli.
17 Men non pitit gason Asè yo: Jimna, Jichva, Jichvi epi Beria. Yo te gen yon sè ki te rele Serak. Beria te gen de pitit gason: Ebè ak Malkyèl.
18 Se pitit gason sa yo Zilpa te fè pou Jakòb. Zilpa sa a, se te sèvant Laban te bay Leya, pitit fi li a. Avèk pitit pitit yo, sa te fè antou sèz moun.
19 Men non pitit gason Rachèl, madan Jakòb: Jozèf ak Benjamen.
20 Pandan Jozèf te nan peyi Lejip, Asnat, pitit fi Potifera, prèt lavil On an, te fè Manase ak Efrayim pou li.
21 Men non pitit Benjamen yo: Bela, Bekè, Achbèl, Gera, Naaman, Ei, Wòch, Moupen, Oupim epi Ad.
22 Se pitit gason sa yo Rachèl te fè pou Jakòb. Avèk pitit pitit yo, sa te fè antou katòz moun.
23 Men non pitit gason Dann lan: Ouchim.
24 Men non pitit gason Neftali yo: Jazeyèl, Gouni, Jezè epi Chilèm.
25 Se pitit gason sa yo Bila te fè pou Jakòb. Bila sa a, se te sèvant Laban te bay Rachèl, pitit fi li a. Avèk pitit pitit yo, sa te fè antou sèt moun.
26 Antou sa te fè swasannsis moun, pitit ak pitit pitit ki te desann nan peyi Lejip ansanm ak Jakòb, san konte madanm pitit li yo.
27 Avèk Jozèf ki te gen tan fè de pitit nan peyi Lejip, sa te fè antou swasanndis moun laras Jakòb ki te vin nan peyi Lejip.
28  Izrayèl te voye Jida devan al mande Jozèf pou l’ vin jwenn li Gochenn.
29 Jozèf fè pare cha li a, li moute, li al Gochenn, li al kontre papa l’. Rive Jozèf rive devan papa l’, li lage kò l’ nan bra l’, li pase yon bon tan ap kriye sou zepòl li.
30 Izrayèl di Jozèf konsa: -Koulye a, mwen wè figi ou, mwen konnen ou vivan toujou, mwen mèt mouri.
31 Epi Jozèf di frè l’ yo ak tout fanmi papa l’ yo: -Mwen pral avèti wa a. Mwen pral di l’: men frè m’ yo ak tout fanmi papa m’ yo ki t’ap viv nan peyi Kanaran vin jwenn mwen isit la.
32 Se gadò mouton yo ye. Se bèt yo konn gade. Yo mennen tout mouton yo ak tout bèf yo ansanm ak tout sa yo genyen.
33 Lè farawon an va rele nou pou mande nou ki metye nou,
34 n’a reponn li: Monwa, depi nou tout piti jouk koulye a, se bèt n’ap gade, tankou tout zansèt nou yo. Konsa, nou ka rete nan peyi Gochenn lan. Li te di yo sa paske moun peyi Lejip yo pa ka sipòte wè moun k’ap gade bèt viv nan mitan yo. 

Genèse 46

1 Israël partit, avec tout ce qui lui appartenait. Il arriva à Beer Schéba, et il offrit des sacrifices au Dieu de son père Isaac.
2 Dieu parla à Israël dans une vision pendant la nuit, et il dit: Jacob! Jacob! Israël répondit: Me voici!
3 Et Dieu dit: Je suis le Dieu, le Dieu de ton père. Ne crains point de descendre en Égypte, car là je te ferai devenir une grande nation.
4 Moi-même je descendrai avec toi en Égypte, et moi-même je t’en ferai remonter; et Joseph te fermera les yeux.
5 Jacob quitta Beer Schéba; et les fils d’Israël mirent Jacob, leur père, avec leurs enfants et leurs femmes, sur les chars que Pharaon avait envoyés pour les transporter.
6 Ils prirent aussi leurs troupeaux et les biens qu’ils avaient acquis dans le pays de Canaan. Et Jacob se rendit en Égypte, avec toute sa famille.
7 Il emmena avec lui en Égypte ses fils et les fils de ses fils, ses filles et les filles de ses fils, et toute sa famille.
8 Voici les noms des fils d’Israël, qui vinrent en Égypte. Jacob et ses fils. Premier-né de Jacob: Ruben.
9 Fils de Ruben: Hénoc, Pallu, Hetsron et Carmi.
10 Fils de Siméon: Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jakin et Tsochar; et Saul, fils de la Cananéenne.
11 Fils de Lévi: Guerschon, Kehath et Merari.
12 Fils de Juda: Er, Onan, Schéla, Pérets et Zarach; mais Er et Onan moururent au pays de Canaan. Les fils de Pérets furent Hetsron et Hamul.
13 Fils d’Issacar: Thola, Puva, Job et Schimron.
14 Fils de Zabulon: Séred, Élon et Jahleel.
15 Ce sont là les fils que Léa enfanta à Jacob à Paddan Aram, avec sa fille Dina. Ses fils et ses filles formaient en tout trente-trois personnes.
16 Fils de Gad: Tsiphjon, Haggi, Schuni, Etsbon, Éri, Arodi et Areéli.
17 Fils d’Aser: Jimna, Jischva, Jischvi et Beria; et Sérach, leur soeur. Et les fils de Beria: Héber et Malkiel.
18 Ce sont là les fils de Zilpa, que Laban avait donnée à Léa, sa fille; et elle les enfanta à Jacob. En tout, seize personnes.
19 Fils de Rachel, femme de Jacob: Joseph et Benjamin.
20 Il naquit à Joseph, au pays d’Égypte, Manassé et Éphraïm, que lui enfanta Asnath, fille de Poti Phéra, prêtre d’On.
21 Fils de Benjamin: Béla, Béker, Aschbel, Guéra, Naaman, Éhi, Rosch, Muppim, Huppim et Ard.
22 Ce sont là les fils de Rachel, qui naquirent à Jacob. En tout, quatorze personnes.
23 Fils de Dan: Huschim.
24 Fils de Nephthali: Jathtseel, Guni, Jetser et Schillem.
25 Ce sont là les fils de Bilha, que Laban avait donnée à Rachel, sa fille; et elle les enfanta à Jacob. En tout, sept personnes.
26 Les personnes qui vinrent avec Jacob en Égypte, et qui étaient issues de lui, étaient au nombre de soixante-six en tout, sans compter les femmes des fils de Jacob.
27 Et Joseph avait deux fils qui lui étaient nés en Égypte. Le total des personnes de la famille de Jacob qui vinrent en Égypte était de soixante-dix.
28 Jacob envoya Juda devant lui vers Joseph, pour l’informer qu’il se rendait en Gosen.
29 Joseph attela son char et y monta, pour aller en Gosen, à la rencontre d’Israël, son père. Dès qu’il le vit, il se jeta à son cou, et pleura longtemps sur son cou.
30 Israël dit à Joseph: Que je meure maintenant, puisque j’ai vu ton visage et que tu vis encore!
31 Joseph dit à ses frères et à la famille de son père: Je vais avertir Pharaon, et je lui dirai: Mes frères et la famille de mon père, qui étaient au pays de Canaan, sont arrivés auprès de moi.
32 Ces hommes sont bergers, car ils élèvent des troupeaux; ils ont amené leurs brebis et leurs boeufs, et tout ce qui leur appartient.
33 Et quand Pharaon vous appellera, et dira:
34 Quelle est votre occupation? vous répondrez: Tes serviteurs ont élevé des troupeaux, depuis notre jeunesse jusqu’à présent, nous et nos pères. De cette manière, vous habiterez dans le pays de Gosen, car tous les bergers sont en abomination aux Égyptiens.

Genesis 46

1 And Israel took his journey with all that he had, and came to Beersheba, and offered sacrifices unto the God of his father Isaac.
2 And God spake unto Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here am I.
3 And he said, I am God, the God of thy father: fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of thee a great nation:
4 I will go down with thee into Egypt; and I will also surely bring thee up again: and Joseph shall put his hand upon thine eyes.
5 And Jacob rose up from Beersheba: and the sons of Israel carried Jacob their father, and their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him.
6 And they took their cattle, and their goods, which they had gotten in the land of Canaan, and came into Egypt, Jacob, and all his seed with him:
7 His sons, and his sons’ sons with him, his daughters, and his sons’ daughters, and all his seed brought he with him into Egypt.
8 And these are the names of the children of Israel, which came into Egypt, Jacob and his sons: Reuben, Jacob’s firstborn.
9 And the sons of Reuben; Hanoch, and Phallu, and Hezron, and Carmi.
10 And the sons of Simeon; Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul the son of a Canaanitish woman.
11 And the sons of Levi; Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
12 And the sons of Judah; Er, and Onan, and Shelah, and Pharez, and Zarah: but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan. And the sons of Pharez were Hezron and Hamul.
13 And the sons of Issachar; Tola, and Phuvah, and Job, and Shimron.
14 And the sons of Zebulun; Sered, and Elon, and Jahleel.
15 These be the sons of Leah, which she bare unto Jacob in Padanaram, with his daughter Dinah: all the souls of his sons and his daughters were thirty and three.
16 And the sons of Gad; Ziphion, and Haggi, Shuni, and Ezbon, Eri, and Arodi, and Areli.
17 And the sons of Asher; Jimnah, and Ishuah, and Isui, and Beriah, and Serah their sister: and the sons of Beriah; Heber, and Malchiel.
18 These are the sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to Leah his daughter, and these she bare unto Jacob, even sixteen souls.
19 The sons of Rachel Jacob’s wife; Joseph, and Benjamin.
20 And unto Joseph in the land of Egypt were born Manasseh and Ephraim, which Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On bare unto him.
21 And the sons of Benjamin were Belah, and Becher, and Ashbel, Gera, and Naaman, Ehi, and Rosh, Muppim, and Huppim, and Ard.
22 These are the sons of Rachel, which were born to Jacob: all the souls were fourteen.
23 And the sons of Dan; Hushim.
24 And the sons of Naphtali; Jahzeel, and Guni, and Jezer, and Shillem.
25 These are the sons of Bilhah, which Laban gave unto Rachel his daughter, and she bare these unto Jacob: all the souls were seven.
26 All the souls that came with Jacob into Egypt, which came out of his loins, besides Jacob’s sons’ wives, all the souls were threescore and six;
27 And the sons of Joseph, which were born him in Egypt, were two souls: all the souls of the house of Jacob, which came into Egypt, were threescore and ten.
28 And he sent Judah before him unto Joseph, to direct his face unto Goshen; and they came into the land of Goshen.
29 And Joseph made ready his chariot, and went up to meet Israel his father, to Goshen, and presented himself unto him; and he fell on his neck, and wept on his neck a good while.
30 And Israel said unto Joseph, Now let me die, since I have seen thy face, because thou art yet alive.
31 And Joseph said unto his brethren, and unto his father’s house, I will go up, and shew Pharaoh, and say unto him, My brethren, and my father’s house, which were in the land of Canaan, are come unto me;
32 And the men are shepherds, for their trade hath been to feed cattle; and they have brought their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have.
33 And it shall come to pass, when Pharaoh shall call you, and shall say, What is your occupation?
34 That ye shall say, Thy servants’ trade hath been about cattle from our youth even until now, both we, and also our fathers: that ye may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is an abomination unto the Egyptians.
