Jeremi 43
1 Lè Jeremi fin di pèp la tou sa Seyè a, Bondye yo a, te voye l’ di yo, ki vle di tout pawòl ki ekri pi wo a,
2 Azarya, pitit Ochaya a, Jokanan, pitit Kareyak la, ansanm ak tout lòt mesye awogan yo di Jeremi konsa: -Manti! Seyè a, Bondye nou an, pa kras voye ou di nou pa desann al rete nan peyi Lejip.
3 Se Bawouk, pitit Nerija a, k’ap moute tèt ou sou nou. Li ta renmen lage nou nan men moun Babilòn yo pou yo touye nou, pou yo depòte nou lavil Babilòn.
4 Se konsa, Jokanan, pitit Kareyak la, lòt chèf lame yo ansanm ak tout rès pèp la derefize koute pawòl Seyè a ki te di yo pou yo rete nan peyi Jida a.
5 Lè sa a, Jokanan ak tout lòt chèf lame yo pran dènye moun ki te rete nan peyi Jida a, yo pati. Yo mennen tout moun ki te kite lòt peyi kote yo te gaye yo pou tounen vin viv nan peyi Jida a,
6 fanm kou gason, tout timoun yo, tout pitit fi wa a. Yo mennen tout moun Neboucharadan, chèf lagad la, te kite avèk Gedalya, pitit Akikam, pitit pitit Chafan. Yo pran pwofèt Jeremi ansanm ak Bawouk, pitit Nerija a, avèk yo tou.
7 Yo pa koute lòd Seyè a, yo rive jouk lavil Tapanès.
8 Antan yo te lavil Tapanès, Seyè a pale ak Jeremi, li di l’ konsa:
9 -Pran kèk gwo wòch, antere yo nan mòtye pave ki devan pòt pou antre kay farawon an, lavil Tapanès. W’a fè l’ pou moun peyi Jida yo wè ou ap fè l’.
10 Lèfini, w’a di yo: men mesaj Seyè ki gen pouvwa a, Bondye pèp Izrayèl la, bay: Mwen pral voye chache sèvitè m’ lan, Nèbikadneza, wa Babilòn lan, mwen pral enstale fotèy li a nan anplasman kote wòch yo antere isit la. Se la l’a moute tant li a anwo yo.
11 Lè l’a rive, l’ap kraze peyi Lejip. Moun ki pou mouri anba move maladi va mouri, moun yo gen pou depòte yo, y’a depòte yo, moun pou l’ fè touye yo, l’a fè touye yo.
12 L’a mete dife nan kay tout bondye moun peyi Lejip yo. L’ap boule bondye moun Lejip yo osinon l’a pran yo, l’a pote yo ale avè l’. Menm jan yon gadò mouton netwaye dènye vèmen ki nan rad li, konsa tou wa a pral piye peyi Lejip la kite l’ blanch. Lèfini, l’ap vire do l’ san pesonn pa di l’ anyen.
13 L’ap kraze tout gwo moniman wòch lavil Eliopolis nan peyi Lejip, l’ap boule tout kay zidòl peyi Lejip yo.

1 Lorsque Jérémie eut achevé de dire à tout le peuple toutes les paroles de l’Éternel, leur Dieu, toutes ces paroles que l’Éternel, leur Dieu, l’avait chargé de leur dire,
2 Azaria, fils d’Hosée, Jochanan, fils de Karéach, et tous ces hommes orgueilleux, dirent à Jérémie: Tu dis un mensonge: l’Éternel, notre Dieu, ne t’a point chargé de nous dire: N’allez pas en Égypte pour y demeurer.
3 Mais c’est Baruc, fils de Nérija, qui t’excite contre nous, afin de nous livrer entre les mains des Chaldéens, pour qu’ils nous fassent mourir ou nous emmènent captifs à Babylone.
4 Jochanan, fils de Karéach, tous les chefs des troupes, et tout le peuple, n’obéirent point à la voix de l’Éternel, qui leur ordonnait de rester dans le pays de Juda.
5 Et Jochanan, fils de Karéach, et tous les chefs des troupes, prirent tous les restes de Juda, qui, après avoir été dispersées parmi toutes les nations, étaient revenus pour habiter le pays de Juda,
6 les hommes, les femmes, les enfants, les filles du roi, et toutes les personnes que Nebuzaradan, chef des gardes, avait laissées avec Guedalia, fils d’Achikam, fils de Schaphan, et aussi Jérémie, le prophète, et Baruc, fils de Nérija.
7 Ils allèrent au pays d’Égypte, car ils n’obéirent pas à la voix de l’Éternel, et ils arrivèrent à Tachpanès.
8 La parole de l’Éternel fut adressée à Jérémie, à Tachpanès, en ces mots:
9 Prends dans ta main de grandes pierres, et cache-les, en présence des Juifs, dans l’argile du four à briques qui est à l’entrée de la maison de Pharaon à Tachpanès.
10 Et tu diras aux Juifs: Ainsi parle l’Éternel des armées, le Dieu d’Israël: Voici, j’enverrai chercher Nebucadnetsar, roi de Babylone, mon serviteur, et je placerai son trône sur ces pierres que j’ai cachées, et il étendra son tapis sur elles.
11 Il viendra, et il frappera le pays d’Égypte; à la mort ceux qui sont pour la mort, à la captivité ceux qui sont pour la captivité, à l’épée ceux qui sont pour l’épée!
12 Je mettrai le feu aux maisons des dieux de l’Égypte; Nebucadnetsar les brûlera, il emmènera captives les idoles, il s’enveloppera du pays d’Égypte comme le berger s’enveloppe de son vêtement, et il sortira de là en paix.
13 Il brisera les statues de Beth Schémesch au pays d’Égypte, et il brûlera par le feu les maisons des dieux de l’Égypte.

1 And it came to pass, that when Jeremiah had made an end of speaking unto all the people all the words of the Lord their God, for which the Lord their God had sent him to them, even all these words,
2 Then spake Azariah the son of Hoshaiah, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the proud men, saying unto Jeremiah, Thou speakest falsely: the Lord our God hath not sent thee to say, Go not into Egypt to sojourn there:
3 But Baruch the son of Neriah setteth thee on against us, for to deliver us into the hand of the Chaldeans, that they might put us to death, and carry us away captives into Babylon.
4 So Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, and all the people, obeyed not the voice of the Lord, to dwell in the land of Judah.
5 But Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, took all the remnant of Judah, that were returned from all nations, whither they had been driven, to dwell in the land of Judah;
6 Even men, and women, and children, and the king’s daughters, and every person that Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had left with Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Jeremiah the prophet, and Baruch the son of Neriah.
7 So they came into the land of Egypt: for they obeyed not the voice of the Lord: thus came they even to Tahpanhes.
8 Then came the word of the Lord unto Jeremiah in Tahpanhes, saying,
9 Take great stones in thine hand, and hide them in the clay in the brickkiln, which is at the entry of Pharaoh’s house in Tahpanhes, in the sight of the men of Judah;
10 And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will send and take Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will set his throne upon these stones that I have hid; and he shall spread his royal pavilion over them.
11 And when he cometh, he shall smite the land of Egypt, and deliver such as are for death to death; and such as are for captivity to captivity; and such as are for the sword to the sword.
12 And I will kindle a fire in the houses of the gods of Egypt; and he shall burn them, and carry them away captives: and he shall array himself with the land of Egypt, as a shepherd putteth on his garment; and he shall go forth from thence in peace.
13 He shall break also the images of Bethshemesh, that is in the land of Egypt; and the houses of the gods of the Egyptians shall he burn with fire.
