Egzòd 9
1 Seyè a di Moyiz konsa: -Ale bò kot farawon an, w’a di l’: Men sa Seyè a, Bondye pèp ebre a, voye di ou: Kite pèp mwen an ale pou yo ka fè sèvis pou mwen.
2 Si ou derefize kite yo ale, si ou kenbe yo toujou, men sak pral rive:
3 M’ap leve men m’ sou bèt ou gen nan jaden ou yo: chwal, bourik, chamo, bèf, mouton, kabrit. Yon gwo maladi pral tonbe sou yo.
4 Men m’a veye pou sa ki rive bèt moun peyi Lejip yo pa rive bèt moun pèp Izrayèl yo, pou ankenn bèt moun pèp Izrayèl yo pa mouri.
5 Seyè a fikse jou pou l’ fè bagay sa a. Li di se denmen l’ap fè sa nan tout peyi a.
6 Nan denmen vre, Seyè a fè sa l’ te di li t’ap fè a: tout bèt moun peyi Lejip yo mouri. Men, pa yonn nan bèt moun Izrayèl yo pa t’ mouri.
7 Farawon an voye pran nouvèl sak pase: li vin konnen pa t’ gen yonn nan bèt moun Izrayèl yo ki te mouri. Men, farawon an t’ap fè tèt di toujou. Li pa t’ vle kite pèp la ale.
8 Apre sa, Seyè a di Moyiz ak Arawon: -Plen de men nou ak sann dife. Se pou Moyiz voye sann lan jete anlè devan farawon an.
9 Sann lan pral gaye tankou pousyè pou l’ kouvri tout peyi Lejip la. Toupatou li pral fè yon kantite bouton leve sou tout moun ak sou tout bèt nan peyi a. Lèfini, bouton yo ap pete, y’ap fè malenng.
10 Yo pran sann dife a, yo parèt devan farawon an. Moyiz voye sann lan jete anlè. Sann lan fè bouton leve sou tout moun ak sou tout bèt. Epi bouton yo pete fè malenng.
11 Ata majisyen yo pa t’ kapab parèt devan Moyiz, paske yo te kouvri ak malenng tou tankou tout moun peyi Lejip yo.
12 Men Seyè a te fè farawon an fè tèt di pi rèd. Farawon an pa t’ koute Moyiz ak Arawon, tankou Seyè a te di Moyiz la.
13 Seyè a di Moyiz konsa: -Leve granmaten, al parèt devan farawon an. W’a di l’: Men sa Seyè a, Bondye pèp ebre a, voye di ou: Kite pèp mwen an ale pou yo ka al fè sèvis pou mwen.
14 Paske, fwa sa a, mwen pral voye tout kalite malè mwen konn fè yo sou ou menm menm, sou moun pa ou yo ak sou tout pèp ou a. Konsa, w’a konnen pa gen tankou m’ sou tout latè.
15 Si mwen te lonje men m’ pou m’ te lage lanmò sou ou ansanm ak tout pèp ou a, nou tout nou te disparèt nèt sou latè.
16 Men, mwen kite nou viv pou nou kapab wè pouvwa mwen, pou moun ka nonmen non m’ sou tout latè.
17 Men w’ap pran pòz awogan ou avèk pèp mwen an, ou pa vle kite yo ale.
18 Koute! Fwa sa a, denmen mwen pral fè lagrèl tonbe tankou lapli, bagay moun poko janm wè nan peyi Lejip, depi peyi a peyi jouk jounen jòdi a.
19 Koulye a, bay lòd pou yo pran tout bèt nou gen nan jaden ak tout lòt bagay nou gen deyò mete yo anndan kay pou pwoteje yo. Paske, yon gwo lagrèl pral tonbe sou tout moun ak sou tout bèt ki deyò. Yo pral mouri.
20 Te gen kèk moun nan moun pa farawon yo ki te pè lè yo tande sa Seyè a te di. Yo fè tout domestik yo ansanm ak tout bèt yo antre anba kay.
21 Men, gen lòt ki pa t’ okipe sa Seyè a te di. Yo kite tout domestik yo ak tout bèt yo deyò.
22 Seyè a di Moyiz konsa: -Leve men ou anlè. Lagrèl pral tonbe sou tout peyi Lejip la, sou tout moun ki deyò, sou tout bèt ak sou tout plant ki nan jaden.
23 Moyiz lonje baton l’ lan anlè nan syèl la. Seyè a voye loraj, lagrèl ak zèklè. Loraj la tonbe anpil kote. Wi, Seyè a voye lagrèl sou tout peyi Lejip la.
24 Lagrèl t’ap tonbe, zèklè t’ap fè yanyan nan syèl la. Se te pi gwo kout tan ki te tonbe sou peyi a depi peyi a peyi.
25 Lagrèl tonbe toupatou nan peyi Lejip la. Li tonbe sou tou sa ki te deyò, sou tout moun ak sou tout bèt. Li tonbe sou tout plant ki nan jaden, li kraze tout pyebwa.
26 Se sèl nan peyi Gochenn lan lagrèl la pa t’ tonbe. Se la moun pèp Izrayèl yo te rete.
27 Farawon an fè rele Moyiz ak Arawon, li di yo konsa: -Fwa sa a, mwen rekonèt tò mwen. Se Seyè a ki gen rezon. Se mwen menm ak pèp mwen an ki antò.
28 Lapriyè Seyè a pou l’ fè loraj la sispann, pou l’ fè lagrèl la rete. Mwen pwomèt pou m’ kite nou ale. Nou pa bezwen rete ankò.
29 Moyiz di l’ konsa: -Soti m’ soti lavil la, mwen pral lapriyè nan pye Seyè a. Loraj la va sispann, p’ap gen lagrèl ankò. Konsa w’a konnen tè a se pou Seyè a li ye.
30 Men mwen konnen ni ou menm, ni moun pa ou yo, nou poko ap respekte Seyè a, Bondye a.
31 Tout pye koton swa yo ak tout jaden lòj yo te boule. Lòj la te deja fè grap, koton yo t’ap fleri.
32 Men ble ak pitimi pa t’ gate, paske yo toujou an reta sou lòt plant yo.
33 Moyiz soti lakay farawon an, l’ al andeyò lavil la. Li lapriyè nan pye Seyè a. Loraj la sispann, lagrèl la rete. pa t’ gen lapli ankò.
34 Lè farawon an wè lapli a, lagrèl la ak loraj la sispann, li kontinye fè peche toujou. Li fè tèt di, li menm ansanm ak tout moun pa l’ yo.
35 Nan fè tèt di sa a, li pa t’ kite moun pèp Izrayèl yo ale, jan Seyè a te fè Moyiz al di l’ la.
Exode 9
1 L’Éternel dit à Moïse: Va vers Pharaon, et tu lui diras: Ainsi parle l’Éternel, le Dieu des Hébreux: Laisse aller mon peuple, afin qu’il me serve.
2 Si tu refuses de le laisser aller, et si tu le retiens encore,
3 voici, la main de l’Éternel sera sur tes troupeaux qui sont dans les champs, sur les chevaux, sur les ânes, sur les chameaux, sur les boeufs et sur les brebis; il y aura une mortalité très grande.
4 L’Éternel distinguera entre les troupeaux d’Israël et les troupeaux des Égyptiens, et il ne périra rien de tout ce qui est aux enfants d’Israël.
5 L’Éternel fixa le temps, et dit: Demain, l’Éternel fera cela dans le pays.
6 Et l’Éternel fit ainsi, dès le lendemain. Tous les troupeaux des Égyptiens périrent, et il ne périt pas une bête des troupeaux des enfants d’Israël.
7 Pharaon s’informa de ce qui était arrivé; et voici, pas une bête des troupeaux d’Israël n’avait péri. Mais le coeur de Pharaon s’endurcit, et il ne laissa point aller le peuple.
8 L’Éternel dit à Moïse et à Aaron: Remplissez vos mains de cendre de fournaise, et que Moïse la jette vers le ciel, sous les yeux de Pharaon.
9 Elle deviendra une poussière qui couvrira tout le pays d’Égypte; et elle produira, dans tout le pays d’Égypte, sur les hommes et sur les animaux, des ulcères formés par une éruption de pustules.
10 Ils prirent de la cendre de fournaise, et se présentèrent devant Pharaon; Moïse la jeta vers le ciel, et elle produisit sur les hommes et sur les animaux des ulcères formés par une éruption de pustules.
11 Les magiciens ne purent paraître devant Moïse, à cause des ulcères; car les ulcères étaient sur les magiciens, comme sur tous les Égyptiens.
12 L’Éternel endurcit le coeur de Pharaon, et Pharaon n’écouta point Moïse et Aaron, selon ce que l’Éternel avait dit à Moïse.
13 L’Éternel dit à Moïse: Lève-toi de bon matin, et présente-toi devant Pharaon. Tu lui diras: Ainsi parle l’Éternel, le Dieu des Hébreux: Laisse aller mon peuple, afin qu’il me serve.
14 Car, cette fois, je vais envoyer toutes mes plaies contre ton coeur, contre tes serviteurs et contre ton peuple, afin que tu saches que nul n’est semblable à moi sur toute la terre.
15 Si j’avais étendu ma main, et que je t’eusse frappé par la mortalité, toi et ton peuple, tu aurais disparu de la terre.
16 Mais, je t’ai laissé subsister, afin que tu voies ma puissance, et que l’on publie mon nom par toute la terre.
17 Si tu t’élèves encore contre mon peuple, et si tu ne le laisses point aller,
18 voici, je ferai pleuvoir demain, à cette heure, une grêle tellement forte, qu’il n’y en a point eu de semblable en Égypte depuis le jour où elle a été fondée jusqu’à présent.
19 Fais donc mettre en sûreté tes troupeaux et tout ce qui est à toi dans les champs. La grêle tombera sur tous les hommes et sur tous les animaux qui se trouveront dans les champs et qui n’auront pas été recueillis dans les maisons, et ils périront.
20 Ceux des serviteurs de Pharaon qui craignirent la parole de l’Éternel firent retirer dans les maisons leurs serviteurs et leurs troupeaux.
21 Mais ceux qui ne prirent point à coeur la parole de l’Éternel laissèrent leurs serviteurs et leurs troupeaux dans les champs.
22 L’Éternel dit à Moïse: Étends ta main vers le ciel; et qu’il tombe de la grêle dans tout le pays d’Égypte sur les hommes, sur les animaux, et sur toutes les herbes des champs, dans le pays d’Égypte.
23 Moïse étendit sa verge vers le ciel; et l’Éternel envoya des tonnerres et de la grêle, et le feu se promenait sur la terre. L’Éternel fit pleuvoir de la grêle sur le pays d’Égypte.
24 Il tomba de la grêle, et le feu se mêlait avec la grêle; elle était tellement forte qu’il n’y en avait point eu de semblable dans tout le pays d’Égypte depuis qu’il existe comme nation.
25 La grêle frappa, dans tout le pays d’Égypte, tout ce qui était dans les champs, depuis les hommes jusqu’aux animaux; la grêle frappa aussi toutes les herbes des champs, et brisa tous les arbres des champs.
26 Ce fut seulement dans le pays de Gosen, où étaient les enfants d’Israël, qu’il n’y eut point de grêle.
27 Pharaon fit appeler Moïse et Aaron, et leur dit: Cette fois, j’ai péché; c’est l’Éternel qui est le juste, et moi et mon peuple nous sommes les coupables.
28 Priez l’Éternel, pour qu’il n’y ait plus de tonnerres ni de grêle; et je vous laisserai aller, et l’on ne vous retiendra plus.
29 Moïse lui dit: Quand je sortirai de la ville, je lèverai mes mains vers l’Éternel, les tonnerres cesseront et il n’y aura plus de grêle, afin que tu saches que la terre est à l’Éternel.
30 Mais je sais que toi et tes serviteurs, vous ne craindrez pas encore l’Éternel Dieu.
31 Le lin et l’orge avaient été frappés, parce que l’orge était en épis et que c’était la floraison du lin;
32 le froment et l’épeautre n’avaient point été frappés, parce qu’ils sont tardifs.
33 Moïse sortit de chez Pharaon, pour aller hors de la ville; il leva ses mains vers l’Éternel, les tonnerres et la grêle cessèrent, et la pluie ne tomba plus sur la terre.
34 Pharaon, voyant que la pluie, la grêle et les tonnerres avaient cessé, continua de pécher, et il endurcit son coeur, lui et ses serviteurs.
35 Le coeur de Pharaon s’endurcit, et il ne laissa point aller les enfants d’Israël, selon ce que l’Éternel avait dit par l’intermédiaire de Moïse.
Exodus 9
1 Then the Lord said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh, and tell him, Thus saith the Lord God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.
2 For if thou refuse to let them go, and wilt hold them still,
3 Behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thy cattle which is in the field, upon the horses, upon the asses, upon the camels, upon the oxen, and upon the sheep: there shall be a very grievous murrain.
4 And the Lord shall sever between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt: and there shall nothing die of all that is the children’s of Israel.
5 And the Lord appointed a set time, saying, To morrow the Lord shall do this thing in the land.
6 And the Lord did that thing on the morrow, and all the cattle of Egypt died: but of the cattle of the children of Israel died not one.
7 And Pharaoh sent, and, behold, there was not one of the cattle of the Israelites dead. And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he did not let the people go.
8 And the Lord said unto Moses and unto Aaron, Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward the heaven in the sight of Pharaoh.
9 And it shall become small dust in all the land of Egypt, and shall be a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast, throughout all the land of Egypt.
10 And they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward heaven; and it became a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast.
11 And the magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boil was upon the magicians, and upon all the Egyptians.
12 And the Lord hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not unto them; as the Lord had spoken unto Moses.
13 And the Lord said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.
14 For I will at this time send all my plagues upon thine heart, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people; that thou mayest know that there is none like me in all the earth.
15 For now I will stretch out my hand, that I may smite thee and thy people with pestilence; and thou shalt be cut off from the earth.
16 And in very deed for this cause have I raised thee up, for to shew in thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.
17 As yet exaltest thou thyself against my people, that thou wilt not let them go?
18 Behold, to morrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as hath not been in Egypt since the foundation thereof even until now.
19 Send therefore now, and gather thy cattle, and all that thou hast in the field; for upon every man and beast which shall be found in the field, and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down upon them, and they shall die.
20 He that feared the word of the Lord among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his cattle flee into the houses:
21 And he that regarded not the word of the Lord left his servants and his cattle in the field.
22 And the Lord said unto Moses, Stretch forth thine hand toward heaven, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, upon man, and upon beast, and upon every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.
23 And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven: and the Lord sent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground; and the Lord rained hail upon the land of Egypt.
24 So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.
25 And the hail smote throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and beast; and the hail smote every herb of the field, and brake every tree of the field.
26 Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, was there no hail.
27 And Pharaoh sent, and called for Moses and Aaron, and said unto them, I have sinned this time: the Lord is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.
28 Intreat the Lord (for it is enough) that there be no more mighty thunderings and hail; and I will let you go, and ye shall stay no longer.
29 And Moses said unto him, As soon as I am gone out of the city, I will spread abroad my hands unto the Lord; and the thunder shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail; that thou mayest know how that the earth is the Lord‘s.
30 But as for thee and thy servants, I know that ye will not yet fear the Lord God.
31 And the flax and the barley was smitten: for the barley was in the ear, and the flax was bolled.
32 But the wheat and the rie were not smitten: for they were not grown up.
33 And Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh, and spread abroad his hands unto the Lord: and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured upon the earth.
34 And when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders were ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants.
35 And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, neither would he let the children of Israel go; as the Lord had spoken by Moses.
