Sòm 38
1 Se yon sòm David. Pou Bondye pa bliye nou. Seyè, pa pini m’ lè ou fache! Pa kale m’ lè ou an kòlè!
2 Ou bat mwen jouk ou blese m’. Ou kale m’ byen kale.
3 Ou te fache anpil, se sa ki fè pa gen yon pati nan kò m’ ki pa malad. Mwen te peche, se sa ki fè tout zo nan kò m’ ap fè m’ mal.
4 Peche m’ yo fè pil, yo kouvri tèt mwen. Y’ap kraze m’ tankou yon chay ki twò lou pou mwen.
5 Malenng mwen yo santi, y’ap koule paske mwen te viv tankou moun fou.
6 Mwen kagou, ren m’ kase nèt. Tout lajounen m’ap mache tèt bese, dlo nan je.
7 Mwen gen yon lafyèb cho sou mwen. Mwen santi mwen malad nan tout kò m’
8 Mwen san fòs, tout zo nan kò m’ kraze. Kè m’ sere, m’ap plenn sitèlman m’ap soufri.
9 Seyè, ou konnen tou sa mwen ta renmen. Ou wè jan m’ap soufri.
10 Kè m’ ap bat anpil, mwen pa kapab sipòte ankò! Ata je m’, mwen pa ka louvri yo!
11 Tout zanmi m’, tout vwazinaj kanpe lwen mwen, tout fanmi m’ rete lwen mwen poutèt malenng mwen an.
12 Moun ki ta renmen wè m’ mouri yo tann pèlen pou mwen. Moun ki ta renmen wè malè rive m’ yo ap plede di yon bann move pawòl sou mwen. Tout lajounen, y’ap fè konplo sou mwen.
13 Mwen menm, mwen tankou yon moun ki soudè, mwen pa tande. Mwen tankou yon moun ki bèbè, mwen pa pale.
14 Wi, mwen pa louvri bouch mwen reponn yo paske mwen tankou yon moun ki pa tande sa y’ap di a.
15 Seyè, se nan ou mwen mete tout konfyans mwen, se ou menm ki va reponn pou mwen, o Seyè, Bondye mwen.
16 Paske, mwen di nan kè m’: -Pa kite yo fè fèt sou tèt mwen, pa kite yo moute sou mwen si pye m’ chape.
17 Mwen prèt pou m’ tonbe. Doulè a pi rèd sou mwen.
18 Mwen rekonèt mechanste mwen fè. Kè m’ sere lè m’ wè sa m’ fè.
19 Lènmi m’ yo gwonèg, yo anpil. Se yon bann moun ki rete konsa yo pa vle wè m’.
20 Moun sa yo rann mwen mal pou byen, yo leve kont mwen, paske m’ap chache fè byen.
21 Pa lage m’ Seyè! Bondye mwen, pa rale kò ou dèyè!
22 Prese vin pote m’ sekou, Seyè, ou menm ki delivrans mwen.

Psaumes 38
1 Psaume de David. Pour souvenir. Éternel! ne me punis pas dans ta colère, Et ne me châtie pas dans ta fureur.
2 Car tes flèches m’ont atteint, Et ta main s’est appesantie sur moi.
3 Il n’y a rien de sain dans ma chair à cause de ta colère, Il n’y a plus de vigueur dans mes os à cause de mon péché.
4 Car mes iniquités s’élèvent au-dessus de ma tête; Comme un lourd fardeau, elles sont trop pesantes pour moi.
5 Mes plaies sont infectes et purulentes, Par l’effet de ma folie.
6 Je suis courbé, abattu au dernier point; Tout le jour je marche dans la tristesse.
7 Car un mal brûlant dévore mes entrailles, Et il n’y a rien de sain dans ma chair.
8 Je suis sans force, entièrement brisé; Le trouble de mon coeur m’arrache des gémissements.
9 Seigneur! tous mes désirs sont devant toi, Et mes soupirs ne te sont point cachés.
10 Mon coeur est agité, ma force m’abandonne, Et la lumière de mes yeux n’est plus même avec moi.
11 Mes amis et mes connaissances s’éloignent de ma plaie, Et mes proches se tiennent à l’écart.
12 Ceux qui en veulent à ma vie tendent leurs pièges; Ceux qui cherchent mon malheur disent des méchancetés, Et méditent tout le jour des tromperies.
13 Et moi, je suis comme un sourd, je n’entends pas; Je suis comme un muet, qui n’ouvre pas la bouche.
14 Je suis comme un homme qui n’entend pas, Et dans la bouche duquel il n’y a point de réplique.
15 Éternel! c’est en toi que j’espère; Tu répondras, Seigneur, mon Dieu!
16 Car je dis: Ne permets pas qu’ils se réjouissent à mon sujet, Qu’ils s’élèvent contre moi, si mon pied chancelle!
17 Car je suis près de tomber, Et ma douleur est toujours devant moi.
18 Car je reconnais mon iniquité, Je suis dans la crainte à cause de mon péché.
19 Et mes ennemis sont pleins de vie, pleins de force; Ceux qui me haïssent sans cause sont nombreux.
20 Ils me rendent le mal pour le bien; Ils sont mes adversaires, parce que je recherche le bien.
21 Ne m’abandonne pas, Éternel! Mon Dieu, ne t’éloigne pas de moi!
22 Viens en hâte à mon secours, Seigneur, mon salut!

Psalm 38
O Lord, rebuke me not in thy wrath: neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.
2 For thine arrows stick fast in me, and thy hand presseth me sore.
3 There is no soundness in my flesh because of thine anger; neither is there any rest in my bones because of my sin.
4 For mine iniquities are gone over mine head: as an heavy burden they are too heavy for me.
5 My wounds stink and are corrupt because of my foolishness.
6 I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long.
7 For my loins are filled with a loathsome disease: and there is no soundness in my flesh.
8 I am feeble and sore broken: I have roared by reason of the disquietness of my heart.
9 Lord, all my desire is before thee; and my groaning is not hid from thee.
10 My heart panteth, my strength faileth me: as for the light of mine eyes, it also is gone from me.
11 My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my sore; and my kinsmen stand afar off.
12 They also that seek after my life lay snares for me: and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine deceits all the day long.
13 But I, as a deaf man, heard not; and I was as a dumb man that openeth not his mouth.
14 Thus I was as a man that heareth not, and in whose mouth are no reproofs.
15 For in thee, O Lord, do I hope: thou wilt hear, O Lord my God.
16 For I said, Hear me, lest otherwise they should rejoice over me: when my foot slippeth, they magnify themselves against me.
17 For I am ready to halt, and my sorrow is continually before me.
18 For I will declare mine iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin.
19 But mine enemies are lively, and they are strong: and they that hate me wrongfully are multiplied.
20 They also that render evil for good are mine adversaries; because I follow the thing that good is.
21 Forsake me not, O Lord: O my God, be not far from me.
22 Make haste to help me, O Lord my salvation.
