1 Seyè a di Abram konsa. Pati, kite peyi ou la. Kite tout fanmi ou. Kite kay papa ou, ale nan peyi m’a moutre ou la.
2 M’ap ba ou anpil pitit pitit. Y’a tounen yon gwo nasyon. m’a beni ou. Y’a nonmen non ou toupatou; w’a sèvi yon benediksyon pou tout moun.
3 M’ap voye benediksyon mwen sou tout moun ki va mande benediksyon pou ou. Men, m’ap madichonnen tout moun ki va ba ou madichon. Gremesi ou, tout nasyon sou latè va jwenn benediksyon.
4 Abram pati jan Seyè a te di l’ la. Lòt pati ansanm avè l’ tou. Abram te gen swasannkenzan lè li kite Karan.
5 Abram pran Sarayi, madanm li, Lòt, pitit frè li a, ansanm ak tout byen li te genyen ak tout domestik li te gen avè l’ nan lavil Karan, yo tout yo pati pou Kanaran. Yo rive nan peyi a.
6 Abram mache nan tout peyi a, jouk li rive kote yo rele Sichèm, bò pye bwadchenn More a. Lè sa a se moun Kanaran yo ki te rete nan peyi a.
7 Abram fè yon vizyon, li wè Seyè a ki di l’. Men peyi m’ap bay pitit pitit ou yo a. Se la Abram bati yon lotèl pou Seyè a ki te parèt devan li nan vizyon an.
8 Apre sa, li pati ankò, li ale nan mòn ki toupre lavil Betèl, sou bò solèy leve. Li moute tant li la. Betèl te sou bò lanmè, Ayi te sou bò solèy leve. Abram bati yon lotèl pou Seyè a la tou, epi li fè sèvis pou li.
9 Li vwayaje toujou, li desann nan direksyon sid, bout pou bout jouk li rive nan rejyon Negèv la.
10 Men, grangou tonbe sou peyi a, pa t’ gen manje menm. Se poutèt sa Abram te desann nan peyi Lejip. Li rete la yon bon bout tan.
11 Li te prèt pou antre nan peyi Lejip lè li di Sarayi, madanm li. Koute non. Ou se yon bèl fanm.
12 Lè gason nan peyi Lejip yo wè ou, yo pral di: Se madanm li wi! Epi y’a touye m’ pou yo sa pran ou nan men m’.
13 Tanpri, di yo se sè mwen ou ye pou yo pa touye m’, pou yo ka aji byen avè m’ poutèt ou.
14 Se konsa, rive Abram rive nan peyi Lejip, mesye yo gen tan wè jan Sarayi te yon bèl fanm.
15 Kèk grannèg nan gouvènman an wè sa tou, y al di farawon an jan li te bèl. Epi yo mennen Sarayi nan palè a.
16 Poutèt Sarayi, farawon an te aji byen ak Abram. Li ba li kantite mouton, kabrit, bèf, bourik, chamo, san konte esklav, fanm kou gason, pou sèvi l’.
17 Men, paske farawon an te pran Sarayi, madanm Abram, pou madanm li, Seyè a voye yon bann move maladi sou li ak sou moun ki te nan palè a.
18 Lè sa a, farawon an fè rele Abram, li di li. Kisa ou fè m’ konsa? Poukisa ou pa t’ di m’ se madanm ou Sarayi ye?
19 Poukisa ou te di m’ se sè ou li ye? Mwen pa ta janm pran l’ pou madanm mwen. Monchè, men madanm ou. Pran l’, al fè wout ou.
20 Farawon an pase moun li yo lòd pou fè Abram pati kite peyi a, li menm ansanm ak madanm li avèk tout sa ki te pou li.

Genèse 12
1 L’Éternel dit à Abram: Va-t-en de ton pays, de ta patrie, et de la maison de ton père, dans le pays que je te montrerai.
2 Je ferai de toi une grande nation, et je te bénirai; je rendrai ton nom grand, et tu seras une source de bénédiction.
3 Je bénirai ceux qui te béniront, et je maudirai ceux qui te maudiront; et toutes les familles de la terre seront bénies en toi.
4 Abram partit, comme l’Éternel le lui avait dit, et Lot partit avec lui. Abram était âgé de soixante-quinze ans, lorsqu’il sortit de Charan.
5 Abram prit Saraï, sa femme, et Lot, fils de son frère, avec tous les biens qu’ils possédaient et les serviteurs qu’ils avaient acquis à Charan. Ils partirent pour aller dans le pays de Canaan, et ils arrivèrent au pays de Canaan.
6 Abram parcourut le pays jusqu’au lieu nommé Sichem, jusqu’aux chênes de Moré. Les Cananéens étaient alors dans le pays.
7 L’Éternel apparut à Abram, et dit: Je donnerai ce pays à ta postérité. Et Abram bâtit là un autel à l’Éternel, qui lui était apparu.
8 Il se transporta de là vers la montagne, à l’orient de Béthel, et il dressa ses tentes, ayant Béthel à l’occident et Aï à l’orient. Il bâtit encore là un autel à l’Éternel, et il invoqua le nom de l’Éternel.
9 Abram continua ses marches, en s’avançant vers le midi.
10 Il y eut une famine dans le pays; et Abram descendit en Égypte pour y séjourner, car la famine était grande dans le pays.
11 Comme il était près d’entrer en Égypte, il dit à Saraï, sa femme: Voici, je sais que tu es une femme belle de figure.
12 Quand les Égyptiens te verront, ils diront: C’est sa femme! Et ils me tueront, et te laisseront la vie.
13 Dis, je te prie, que tu es ma soeur, afin que je sois bien traité à cause de toi, et que mon âme vive grâce à toi.
14 Lorsque Abram fut arrivé en Égypte, les Égyptiens virent que la femme était fort belle.
15 Les grands de Pharaon la virent aussi et la vantèrent à Pharaon; et la femme fut emmenée dans la maison de Pharaon.
16 Il traita bien Abram à cause d’elle; et Abram reçut des brebis, des boeufs, des ânes, des serviteurs et des servantes, des ânesses, et des chameaux.
17 Mais l’Éternel frappa de grandes plaies Pharaon et sa maison, au sujet de Saraï, femme d’Abram.
18 Alors Pharaon appela Abram, et dit: Qu’est-ce que tu m’as fait? Pourquoi ne m’as-tu pas déclaré que c’est ta femme?
19 Pourquoi as-tu dit: C’est ma soeur? Aussi l’ai-je prise pour ma femme. Maintenant, voici ta femme, prends-la, et va-t-en!
20 Et Pharaon donna ordre à ses gens de le renvoyer, lui et sa femme, avec tout ce qui lui appartenait.

Genesis 12
1 Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
4 So Abram departed, as the Lord had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.
5 And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother’s son, and all their substance that they had gathered, and the souls that they had gotten in Haran; and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan; and into the land of Canaan they came.
6 And Abram passed through the land unto the place of Sichem, unto the plain of Moreh. And the Canaanite was then in the land.
7 And the Lord appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto the Lord, who appeared unto him.
8 And he removed from thence unto a mountain on the east of Bethel, and pitched his tent, having Bethel on the west, and Hai on the east: and there he builded an altar unto the Lord, and called upon the name of the Lord.
9 And Abram journeyed, going on still toward the south.
10 And there was a famine in the land: and Abram went down into Egypt to sojourn there; for the famine was grievous in the land.
11 And it came to pass, when he was come near to enter into Egypt, that he said unto Sarai his wife, Behold now, I know that thou art a fair woman to look upon:
12 Therefore it shall come to pass, when the Egyptians shall see thee, that they shall say, This is his wife: and they will kill me, but they will save thee alive.
13 Say, I pray thee, thou art my sister: that it may be well with me for thy sake; and my soul shall live because of thee.
14 And it came to pass, that, when Abram was come into Egypt, the Egyptians beheld the woman that she was very fair.
15 The princes also of Pharaoh saw her, and commended her before Pharaoh: and the woman was taken into Pharaoh’s house.
16 And he entreated Abram well for her sake: and he had sheep, and oxen, and he asses, and menservants, and maidservants, and she asses, and camels.
17 And the Lord plagued Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai Abram’s wife.
18 And Pharaoh called Abram and said, What is this that thou hast done unto me? why didst thou not tell me that she was thy wife?
19 Why saidst thou, She is my sister? so I might have taken her to me to wife: now therefore behold thy wife, take her, and go thy way.
20 And Pharaoh commanded his men concerning him: and they sent him away, and his wife, and all that he had.
