2 Kay wa Salomon bati pou Seyè a te gen katrevendis pye longè, trant pye lajè ak karantsenk pye wotè.
3 Premye pyès devan an te gen kenz pye longè, trant pye lajè. Li te menm lajè ak kay la.
4 Miray tanp lan te gen fennèt ak griyaj bare yo.
5 Kole kole ak miray yo, sou de sou kote yo ak sou dèyè Tanp lan ak pyès dèyè a, li fè bati twa ran pyès, yonn sou lòt. Chak etaj te gen sèt pye edmi wotè.
6 Chak pyès nan dènye etaj anba a te gen sèt pye edmi lajè. Pyès nan etaj mitan an te gen nèf pye lajè ak pyès nan etaj anwo nèt la te gen dis pye edmi. Miray tanp lan menm te pi laj anba pase anwo. Konsa, gwo travès plafon yo te chita sou miray yo san yo pa t’ bezwen fouye twou ladan yo.
7 Wòch yo te sèvi pou bati Tanp lan te pare depi nan min wòch kote yo te jwenn yo a. Konsa, pandan yo t’ap bati Tanp lan pa t’ gen ankenn bri mato, bri sizo, ni bri ankenn zouti fè.
8 Pòt pou antre nan premye chanm anba yo te bay sou bò sid Tanp lan. Te gen eskalye pou moute nan premye ak nan dezyèm etaj yo.
9 Lè Salomon fin bati Tanp lan, li mete yon plafon fèt ak travès ak planch sèd.
10 Li bati pyès chanm yo tout arebò tanp lan. Chak etaj te gen sèt pye edmi wotè. Yo te kole kole ak miray kay la. Yo te mare sou miray la ak travès sèd.
11 Seyè a pale ak Salomon, li di l’ konsa:
12 -Lè w’a fin bati tanp lan, si ou mache dapre lòd mwen, si ou fè sa m’ di ou fè, si ou kenbe tout kòmandman mwen yo, m’a fè pou ou tou sa mwen te pwomèt David, papa ou.
13 M’ap rete nan mitan peyi Izrayèl la, mwen p’ap janm lage yo.
14 Se konsa Salomon fin bati Tanp lan.
15 Tout miray yo te plake sou anndan ak planch sèd depi planche a rive nan plafon an. Planche a te fèt ak bwa pichpen.
16 Li bati sou dèyè tanp lan yon gwo pyès li rele Pyès ki apa nèt pou Seyè a. Pyès la te gen trant pye longè. Panno pyès la fèt ak planch sèd ki soti depi atè rive nan plafon an.
17 Pati tanp lan ki te devan pyès ki apa nèt pou Seyè a te gen swasant pye longè.
18 Sou anndan, tout miray tanp lan te kouvri ak planch sèd, ou pa t’ ka wè yon wòch. Planch sèd yo te travay ak desen flè ak ti kalbas sou tout kò yo.
19 Anndan Tanp lan, sou dèyè, li bati yon pyès apa pou Seyè a. Se la yo te mete Bwat Kontra Seyè a.
20 Pyès la te gen trant pye longè, trant pye lajè ak trant pye wotè. Li te kouvri nèt ak lò. Sou devan pyès la yo bati yon lotèl ak bwa sèd, lèfini yo te kouvri li nèt ak lò.
21 Tout miray anndan tanp lan te kouvri ak lò. Pyès apa nèt pou Seyè a te kouvri ak lò tou. Yo fè chenn lò pou fèmen pòt pyès ki apa pou Seyè a.
22 Konsa, tout anndan Tanp lan nèt ansanm ak lotèl ki te devan pyès ki apa pou Seyè a te kouvri nèt ak lò.
23 Apre sa, li fè fè de estati zanj cheriben yo an bwa oliv pou pyès ki apa nèt pou Seyè a. Chak estati te gen kenz pye wotè.
24 Chak zèl te mezire sèt pye edmi longè. Konsa, depi pwent yon zèl rive nan pwent lòt zèl la te gen kenz pye.
25 Tou de estati yo te gen menm fòm, menm gwosè.
26 Tou de te menm wotè, yo te gen kenz pye wotè.
27 Salomon fè mete de estati yo anndan pyès ki apa pou Seyè a, kòtakòt, ak zèl yo louvri pou pwent zèl anndan yo touche yonn ak lòt nan mitan pyès la, de pwent zèl deyò yo touche ak de miray sou kote yo.
28 De estati ak zèl yo te kouvri nèt ak lò.
29 Sou tout miray anndan tanp lan te gen pòtre zanj cheriben, pòtre pye palmis ak pòtre flè yo te travay nan bwa a.
30 Menm planche a te kouvri ak lò anndan kou deyò.
31 Salomon fè mete yon pòt de batan fèt ak bwa oliv pou fèmen pyès apa pou Seyè a. Lento pòt la ak de montan yo te pran yon senkyèm nan ouvèti pòt la.
32 Batan pòt yo te dekore ak pòtre zanj cheriben, pye palmis ak flè yo te travay nan bwa a. Tout pòt la ansanm ak pòtre yo te kouvri nèt ak lò.
33 Pòt pyès mitan Tanp lan te gen yon ankadreman fèt ak bwa oliv ki te pran yon ka nan ouvèti pòt la.
34 Pòt la menm te fèt an pichpen. Li te gen kat batan, de batan chak bò ki ka fèmen yonn sou lòt.
35 Batan pòt yo te dekore ak pòtre zanj cheriben, pye palmis ak flè yo te travay sou bwa a. Tout pòt la ansanm ak pòtre yo te kouvri nèt ak lò.
36 Li fè bati yon lakou fèmen devan Tanp lan. Miray lakou a te fèt ak yon ranje madriye sèd pou chak twa ranje wòch yonn sou lòt.
37 Se nan katriyèm lanne rèy Salomon, nan mwa Ziv la, yo te mete men nan fondasyon kay Seyè a.
38 Tanp lan te fin bati ak tout ti detay li yo, jan yo te fè plan an, nan onzyèm lanne rèy Salomon nan wityèm mwa kalandriye jwif yo, ki rele Boul. Salomon te pran sètan pou l’ bati Tanp lan.

1 Ce fut la quatre cent quatre-vingtième année après la sortie des enfants d’Israël du pays d’Égypte que Salomon bâtit la maison à l’Éternel, la quatrième année de son règne sur Israël, au mois de Ziv, qui est le second mois.
2 La maison que le roi Salomon bâtit à l’Éternel avait soixante coudées de longueur, vingt de largeur, et trente de hauteur.
3 Le portique devant le temple de la maison avait vingt coudées de longueur répondant à la largeur de la maison, et dix coudées de profondeur sur la face de la maison.
4 Le roi fit à la maison des fenêtres solidement grillées.
5 Il bâtit contre le mur de la maison des étages circulaires, qui entouraient les murs de la maison, le temple et le sanctuaire; et il fit des chambres latérales tout autour.
6 L’étage inférieur était large de cinq coudées, celui du milieu de six coudées, et le troisième de sept coudées; car il ménagea des retraites à la maison tout autour en dehors, afin que la charpente n’entrât pas dans les murs de la maison.
7 Lorsqu’on bâtit la maison, on se servit de pierres toutes taillées, et ni marteau, ni hache, ni aucun instrument de fer, ne furent entendus dans la maison pendant qu’on la construisait.
8 L’entrée des chambres de l’étage inférieur était au côté droit de la maison; on montait à l’étage du milieu par un escalier tournant, et de l’étage du milieu au troisième.
9 Après avoir achevé de bâtir la maison, Salomon la couvrit de planches et de poutres de cèdre.
10 Il donna cinq coudées de hauteur à chacun des étages qui entouraient toute la maison, et il les lia à la maison par des bois de cèdre.
11 L’Éternel adressa la parole à Salomon, et lui dit: Tu bâtis cette maison!
12 Si tu marches selon mes lois, si tu pratiques mes ordonnances, si tu observes et suis tous mes commandements, j’accomplirai à ton égard la promesse que j’ai faite à David, ton père,
13 j’habiterai au milieu des enfants d’Israël, et je n’abandonnerai point mon peuple d’Israël.
14 Après avoir achevé de bâtir la maison,
15 Salomon en revêtit intérieurement les murs de planches de cèdre, depuis le sol jusqu’au plafond; il revêtit ainsi de bois l’intérieur, et il couvrit le sol de la maison de planches de cyprès.
16 Il revêtit de planches de cèdre les vingt coudées du fond de la maison, depuis le sol jusqu’au haut des murs, et il réserva cet espace pour en faire le sanctuaire, le lieu très saint.
17 Les quarante coudées sur le devant formaient la maison, c’est-à-dire le temple.
18 Le bois de cèdre à l’intérieur de la maison offrait des sculptures de coloquintes et de fleurs épanouies; tout était de cèdre, on ne voyait aucune pierre.
19 Salomon établit le sanctuaire intérieurement au milieu de la maison, pour y placer l’arche de l’alliance de l’Éternel.
20 Le sanctuaire avait vingt coudées de longueur, vingt coudées de largeur, et vingt coudées de hauteur. Salomon le couvrit d’or pur. Il fit devant le sanctuaire un autel de bois de cèdre et le couvrit d’or.
21 Il couvrit d’or pur l’intérieur de la maison, et il fit passer le voile dans des chaînettes d’or devant le sanctuaire, qu’il couvrit d’or.
22 Il couvrit d’or toute la maison, la maison tout entière, et il couvrit d’or tout l’autel qui était devant le sanctuaire.
23 Il fit dans le sanctuaire deux chérubins de bois d’olivier sauvage, ayant dix coudées de hauteur.
24 Chacune des deux ailes de l’un des chérubins avait cinq coudées, ce qui faisait dix coudées de l’extrémité d’une de ses ailes à l’extrémité de l’autre.
25 Le second chérubin avait aussi dix coudées. La mesure et la forme étaient les mêmes pour les deux chérubins.
26 La hauteur de chacun des deux chérubins était de dix coudées.
27 Salomon plaça les chérubins au milieu de la maison, dans l’intérieur. Leurs ailes étaient déployées: l’aile du premier touchait à l’un des murs, et l’aile du second touchait à l’autre mur; et leurs autres ailes se rencontraient par l’extrémité au milieu de la maison.
28 Salomon couvrit d’or les chérubins.
29 Il fit sculpter sur tout le pourtour des murs de la maison, à l’intérieur et à l’extérieur, des chérubins, des palmes et des fleurs épanouies.
30 Il couvrit d’or le sol de la maison, à l’intérieur et à l’extérieur.
31 Il fit à l’entrée du sanctuaire une porte à deux battants, de bois d’olivier sauvage; l’encadrement avec les poteaux équivalait à un cinquième du mur.
32 Les deux battants étaient de bois d’olivier sauvage. Il y fit sculpter des chérubins, des palmes et des fleurs épanouies, et il les couvrit d’or; il étendit aussi l’or sur les chérubins et sur les palmes.
33 Il fit de même, pour la porte du temple, des poteaux de bois d’olivier sauvage, ayant le quart de la dimension du mur, et deux battants de bois de cyprès;
34 chacun des battants était formé de deux planches brisées.
35 Il y fit sculpter des chérubins, des palmes et des fleurs épanouies, et il les couvrit d’or, qu’il étendit sur la sculpture.
36 Il bâtit le parvis intérieur de trois rangées de pierres de taille et d’une rangée de poutres de cèdre.
37 La quatrième année, au mois de Ziv, les fondements de la maison de l’Éternel furent posés;
38 et la onzième année, au mois de Bul, qui est le huitième mois, la maison fut achevée dans toutes ses parties et telle qu’elle devait être. Salomon la construisit dans l’espace de sept ans.

1 And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign over Israel, in the month Zif, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of the Lord.
2 And the house which king Solomon built for the Lord, the length thereof was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof twenty cubits, and the height thereof thirty cubits.
3 And the porch before the temple of the house, twenty cubits was the length thereof, according to the breadth of the house; and ten cubits was the breadth thereof before the house.
4 And for the house he made windows of narrow lights.
5 And against the wall of the house he built chambers round about, against the walls of the house round about, both of the temple and of the oracle: and he made chambers round about:
6 The nethermost chamber was five cubits broad, and the middle was six cubits broad, and the third was seven cubits broad: for without in the wall of the house he made narrowed rests round about, that the beams should not be fastened in the walls of the house.
7 And the house, when it was in building, was built of stone made ready before it was brought thither: so that there was neither hammer nor axe nor any tool of iron heard in the house, while it was in building.
8 The door for the middle chamber was in the right side of the house: and they went up with winding stairs into the middle chamber, and out of the middle into the third.
9 So he built the house, and finished it; and covered the house with beams and boards of cedar.
10 And then he built chambers against all the house, five cubits high: and they rested on the house with timber of cedar.
11 And the word of the Lord came to Solomon, saying,
12 Concerning this house which thou art in building, if thou wilt walk in my statutes, and execute my judgments, and keep all my commandments to walk in them; then will I perform my word with thee, which I spake unto David thy father:
13 And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake my people Israel.
14 So Solomon built the house, and finished it.
15 And he built the walls of the house within with boards of cedar, both the floor of the house, and the walls of the ceiling: and he covered them on the inside with wood, and covered the floor of the house with planks of fir.
16 And he built twenty cubits on the sides of the house, both the floor and the walls with boards of cedar: he even built them for it within, even for the oracle, even for the most holy place.
17 And the house, that is, the temple before it, was forty cubits long.
18 And the cedar of the house within was carved with knops and open flowers: all was cedar; there was no stone seen.
19 And the oracle he prepared in the house within, to set there the ark of the covenant of the Lord.
20 And the oracle in the forepart was twenty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in breadth, and twenty cubits in the height thereof: and he overlaid it with pure gold; and so covered the altar which was of cedar.
21 So Solomon overlaid the house within with pure gold: and he made a partition by the chains of gold before the oracle; and he overlaid it with gold.
22 And the whole house he overlaid with gold, until he had finished all the house: also the whole altar that was by the oracle he overlaid with gold.
23 And within the oracle he made two cherubims of olive tree, each ten cubits high.
24 And five cubits was the one wing of the cherub, and five cubits the other wing of the cherub: from the uttermost part of the one wing unto the uttermost part of the other were ten cubits.
25 And the other cherub was ten cubits: both the cherubims were of one measure and one size.
26 The height of the one cherub was ten cubits, and so was it of the other cherub.
27 And he set the cherubims within the inner house: and they stretched forth the wings of the cherubims, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings touched one another in the midst of the house.
28 And he overlaid the cherubims with gold.
29 And he carved all the walls of the house round about with carved figures of cherubims and palm trees and open flowers, within and without.
30 And the floors of the house he overlaid with gold, within and without.
31 And for the entering of the oracle he made doors of olive tree: the lintel and side posts were a fifth part of the wall.
32 The two doors also were of olive tree; and he carved upon them carvings of cherubims and palm trees and open flowers, and overlaid them with gold, and spread gold upon the cherubims, and upon the palm trees.
33 So also made he for the door of the temple posts of olive tree, a fourth part of the wall.
34 And the two doors were of fir tree: the two leaves of the one door were folding, and the two leaves of the other door were folding.
35 And he carved thereon cherubims and palm trees and open flowers: and covered them with gold fitted upon the carved work.
36 And he built the inner court with three rows of hewed stone, and a row of cedar beams.
37 In the fourth year was the foundation of the house of the Lord laid, in the month Zif:
38 And in the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, was the house finished throughout all the parts thereof, and according to all the fashion of it. So was he seven years in building it.
