Sòm 37
1 Se yon sòm David. Pa fè kòlè lè ou wè mechan yo! Pa anvye sò moun k’ap fè mal yo!
2 Talè konsa, y’ap rache yo tankou raje. Yo gen pou yo fennen tankou zèb gazon.
3 Mete konfyans ou nan Seyè a, fè sa ki byen! Pran peyi a fè kay ou, viv ak kè poze!
4 Si se nan Seyè a ou pran tout plezi ou, l’a ba ou tou sa ou ta renmen.
5 Renmèt kòz ou nan men Seyè a! Mete konfyans ou nan li, l’a ede ou.
6 L’a fè jistis ou parèt aklè tankou yon limyè, l’a fè rezon ou parèt aklè tankou gwo solèy midi.
7 Rete dousman dèvan Seyè a, pran san ou. Tann li fè sa l’ gen pou l’ fè a. Pa fè kòlè lè ou wè moun gen zafè yo ap mache byen. lè ou wè moun reyalize tout move lide yo gen nan tèt yo.
8 Pa fache, pa fè move san. Ou pa bezwen ennève! Sa kapab fè ou fè sa ki mal.
9 Moun ki mete konfyans yo nan Seyè a va pran peyi a pou yo. Men, y’ap disparèt mechan yo.
10 Talè konsa, p’ap gen mechan ankò. W’a chache yo, ou p’ap jwenn yo.
11 Men, moun ki soumèt devan Bondye, yo pral resevwa pèyi a pou byen yo, y’a viv ak kè poze nèt ale.
12 Mechan yo ap fè konplo sou moun k’ap mache dwat yo. Y’ap gade yo konsa, yo anvi devore yo.
13 Seyè a ap ri mechan an, paske li konnen mechan an pa la pou lontan.
14 Mechan yo rale koulin yo, y’ap pare banza yo, pou yo touye pòv yo ak malere yo, pou ansasinen moun k’ap mache dwat yo.
15 Men, se yo menm menm koulin yo pral rache. Banza yo menm ap kase nan men yo.
16 Pito ou pa gen anpil byen, men ou mache dwat, pase pou ou gen anpil richès nan fè sa ki mal.
17 Paske, Bondye ap kraze kouraj mechan yo, men l’ap soutni moun ki mache dwat yo.
18 Seyè a konnen jan moun ki fè volonte l’ yo ap viv. Eritaj yo la pou tout tan.
19 Yo p’ap wont lè bagay gate, y’ap jwenn tou sa yo bezwen lè grangou tonbe sou peyi a.
20 Men mechan yo ap peri. Moun ki pa vle wè Seyè a ap fennen tankou flè savann. Y’ap disparèt tankou lafimen.
21 Mechan an prete, li pa nan renmèt. Men, moun ki mache dwat yo gen kè sansib, yo fè kado.
22 Moun Seyè a beni va pran peyi a pou yo. Men, moun ki anba madichon Bondye gen pou disparèt sou tè a.
23 Seyè a pran men lèzòm, li mete yo nan bon chemen. Li kontan wè yo mache dwat.
24 Si yo tonbe, yo p’ap rete atè a. Paske Seyè a ap ba yo men.
25 Depi mwen timoun jouk mwen vin granmoun, mwen pa janm wè Bondye lage yon moun ki mache dwat, ni mwen pa janm wè pitit pitit li yo ap mande charite.
26 Okontrè, moun ki mache dwat l’a toujou gen kè sansib pou l’ bay, pou li prete moun tou. Tout pitit pitit li yo tounen yon benediksyon pou lòt moun.
27 Pa fè mal, fè sa ki byen. W’a toujou gen yon kote nan peyi a pou ou rete.
28 Paske, Seyè a renmen moun ki mache dwat. Li pa lage moun ki kenbe fèm nan sèvis li. L’ap toujou pwoteje yo. Men, ras mechan yo gen pou disparèt.
29 Moun ki mache dwat gen pou pran peyi a pou yo. Y’ap rete nan peyi a tout tan tout tan.
30 Moun ki mache dwat devan Bondye bay bon konsèy. Se bon pawòl ase ki soti nan bouch li.
31 Li kenbe lalwa Bondye a fèm nan kè li, li p’ap janm bite.
32 Mechan an ap veye tout vire tounen moun k’ap mache dwat, l’ap chache jan pou l’ touye l’.
33 Men, Seyè a p’ap lage l’ nan men mechan an, li p’ap kite yo kondannen l’ lè y’ap jije l’.
34 Mete konfyans ou nan Seyè a, fè tou sa l’ mande ou fè. L’ap ba ou fòs pou ou ka pran peyi a pou ou. Ou gen pou wè mechan yo disparèt sou latè.
35 Mwen te wè yon mechan ki te fè tout moun pè li, li te kanpe tankou yon gwo pye mapou.
36 Apre sa, mwen tounen vin pase kote l’ te ye a, li pa t’ la. Mwen chache l’, mwen pa janm wè l’ ankò.
37 Gade moun k’ap mache dwat la byen gade. Gade tout vire tounen l’. Moun ki viv byen ak tout moun ap gen pitit ak pitit pitit.
38 Men, moun k’ap fè mal yo, y’ap rete konsa y’ap disparèt. Tout pitit ak pitit pitit yo ap disparèt tou.
39 Se Seyè a k’ap sove moun ki mache dwat yo. L’ap sèvi yo defans lè yo nan tray.
40 L’ap pote yo sekou, l’ap delivre yo. L’ap wete yo anba men mechan yo, paske se anba zèl li y’ al chache pwoteksyon.

Psaumes 37
1 De David. Ne t’irrite pas contre les méchants, N’envie pas ceux qui font le mal.
2 Car ils sont fauchés aussi vite que l’herbe, Et ils se flétrissent comme le gazon vert.
3 Confie-toi en l’Éternel, et pratique le bien; Aie le pays pour demeure et la fidélité pour pâture.
4 Fais de l’Éternel tes délices, Et il te donnera ce que ton coeur désire.
5 Recommande ton sort à l’Éternel, Mets en lui ta confiance, et il agira.
6 Il fera paraître ta justice comme la lumière, Et ton droit comme le soleil à son midi.
7 Garde le silence devant l’Éternel, et espère en lui; Ne t’irrite pas contre celui qui réussit dans ses voies, Contre l’homme qui vient à bout de ses mauvais desseins.
8 Laisse la colère, abandonne la fureur; Ne t’irrite pas, ce serait mal faire.
9 Car les méchants seront retranchés, Et ceux qui espèrent en l’Éternel posséderont le pays.
10 Encore un peu de temps, et le méchant n’est plus; Tu regardes le lieu où il était, et il a disparu.
11 Les misérables possèdent le pays, Et ils jouissent abondamment de la paix.
12 Le méchant forme des projets contre le juste, Et il grince des dents contre lui.
13 Le Seigneur se rit du méchant, Car il voit que son jour arrive.
14 Les méchants tirent le glaive, Ils bandent leur arc, Pour faire tomber le malheureux et l’indigent, Pour égorger ceux dont la voie est droite.
15 Leur glaive entre dans leur propre coeur, Et leurs arcs se brisent.
16 Mieux vaut le peu du juste Que l’abondance de beaucoup de méchants;
17 Car les bras des méchants seront brisés, Mais l’Éternel soutient les justes.
18 L’Éternel connaît les jours des hommes intègres, Et leur héritage dure à jamais.
19 Ils ne sont pas confondus au temps du malheur, Et ils sont rassasiés aux jours de la famine.
20 Mais les méchants périssent, Et les ennemis de l’Éternel, comme les plus beaux pâturages; Ils s’évanouissent, ils s’évanouissent en fumée.
21 Le méchant emprunte, et il ne rend pas; Le juste est compatissant, et il donne.
22 Car ceux que bénit l’Éternel possèdent le pays, Et ceux qu’il maudit sont retranchés.
23 L’Éternel affermit les pas de l’homme, Et il prend plaisir à sa voie;
24 S’il tombe, il n’est pas terrassé, Car l’Éternel lui prend la main.
25 J’ai été jeune, j’ai vieilli; Et je n’ai point vu le juste abandonné, Ni sa postérité mendiant son pain.
26 Toujours il est compatissant, et il prête; Et sa postérité est bénie.
27 Détourne-toi du mal, fais le bien, Et possède à jamais ta demeure.
28 Car l’Éternel aime la justice, Et il n’abandonne pas ses fidèles; Ils sont toujours sous sa garde, Mais la postérité des méchants est retranchée.
29 Les justes posséderont le pays, Et ils y demeureront à jamais.
30 La bouche du juste annonce la sagesse, Et sa langue proclame la justice.
31 La loi de son Dieu est dans son coeur; Ses pas ne chancellent point.
32 Le méchant épie le juste, Et il cherche à le faire mourir.
33 L’Éternel ne le laisse pas entre ses mains, Et il ne le condamne pas quand il est en jugement.
34 Espère en l’Éternel, garde sa voie, Et il t’élèvera pour que tu possèdes le pays; Tu verras les méchants retranchés.
35 J’ai vu le méchant dans toute sa puissance; Il s’étendait comme un arbre verdoyant.
36 Il a passé, et voici, il n’est plus; Je le cherche, et il ne se trouve plus.
37 Observe celui qui est intègre, et regarde celui qui est droit; Car il y a une postérité pour l’homme de paix.
38 Mais les rebelles sont tous anéantis, La postérité des méchants est retranchée.
39 Le salut des justes vient de l’Éternel; Il est leur protecteur au temps de la détresse.
40 L’Éternel les secourt et les délivre; Il les délivre des méchants et les sauve, Parce qu’ils cherchent en lui leur refuge.

Psalm 37
1 Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.
2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.
3 Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
4 Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.
7 Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.
9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth.
10 For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.
11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
12 The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.
13 The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.
14 The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation.
15 Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.
16 A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.
17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the Lord upholdeth the righteous.
18 The Lord knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.
19 They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
20 But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the Lord shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.
21 The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.
22 For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off.
23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.
24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.
25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
26 He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.
27 Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.
28 For the Lord loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.
29 The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.
30 The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.
31 The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.
32 The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.
33 The Lord will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.
34 Wait on the Lord, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.
35 I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.
36 Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.
37 Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.
38 But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.
39 But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord: he is their strength in the time of trouble.
40 And the Lord shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.
