Travay 15
1 Kèk mesye soti nan peyi Jide rive lavil Antiòch. Yo t’ap moutre frè yo yon bann bagay, yo t’ap di: Bondye p’ap kapab delivre nou si yo pa sikonsi nou, jan lalwa Moyiz mande l’ la.
2 Pòl ak Banabas pa t’ dakò menm ak moun sa yo. Sa te fè yon gwo diskisyon. Se konsa, frè yo deside voye Pòl, Banabas ansanm ak kèk lòt moun Antiòch moute Jerizalèm pou regle keksyon sa a ak apòt yo ansanm ak chèf fanmi yo.
3 Se legliz la ki te voye yo fè vwayaj sa a. Yo pase nan Finisi ak nan Samari. Sou tout wout la, yo t’ap rakonte ki jan moun ki pa jwif yo te tounen vin jwenn Bondye. Tout frè yo te kontan anpil lè yo tande sa.
4 Lè yo rive Jerizalèm, tout legliz la, apòt yo ak chèf fanmi yo te byen resevwa yo. Pòl ak Banabas rakonte moun Jerizalèm yo tou sa Bondye te ba yo pouvwa fè pou li.
5 Se lè sa a kèk disip, ansyen patizan farizyen yo, kanpe, yo di: Se pou n’ sikonsi moun lòt nasyon yo tou. Se pou n’ mande yo pou yo obeyi lalwa Moyiz la tou.
6 ¶ Apòt yo ak chèf fanmi yo sanble pou egzaminen keksyon an.
7 Lè yo fin diskite kont yo, Pyè kanpe, li di yo: Frè m’ yo, nou konnen ki jan, depi lontan, Bondye te chwazi m’ nan nou tout pou m’ anonse bon nouvèl la bay moun lòt nasyon yo, pou yo menm tou, yo ka tande l’ pou yo rive kwè nan Bondye.
8 Enben, Bondye ki konnen sa ki nan kè moun, li moutre nou ki jan li menm li asepte yo: li ba yo Sentespri menm jan li te fè l’ pou nou an.
9 Li pa t’ fè okenn diferans ant yo menm ak nou menm: nou wè li lave kè yo paske yo te kwè nan li.
10 Koulye a, poukisa pou n’ap seye fè plan ak Bondye konsa, lè nou vle fè disip yo pote yon chay ni zansèt nou ni nou menm nou pa t’ ka pote?
11 Okontrè, nou kwè se yon favè Jezikri fè nou lè l’ delivre nou, menm jan li fè l’ pou yo tou.
12 Apre sa, tout moun pe bouch yo, yo t’ap koute Banabas ak Pòl ki t’ap rakonte tout bèl bagay ak tout mirak Bondye te ba yo pouvwa fè pou li nan mitan moun lòt nasyon yo.
13 Lè yo fin pale, Jak pran lapawòl, li di: Frè m’ yo, koute mwen.
14 Simon fèk esplike nou ki jan, depi nan konmansman, Bondye te pran swen moun lòt nasyon yo pou l’ te ka chwazi nan mitan yo yon pèp ki pou pote non li.
15 Sou pwen sa a, pawòl pwofèt yo dakò nèt. Men sa ki ekri nan Liv la:
16 Apre sa, m’a retounen. Se Bondye k’ap pale. M’a rebati kay David la ki te fin tonbe, m’a repare mazi li yo, m’a kanpe kay li a ankò.
17 Konsa, tout lòt moun yo va chache Bondye, ansanm ak tout nasyon mwen chwazi pou pote non mwen.
18 Men sa Bondye di. Se li menm ki fè nou konnen bagay sa yo depi lontan.
19 Se poutèt sa, mwen menm, Jak, mwen kwè nou pa dwe antrave moun lòt nasyon yo ki vin jwenn Bondye.
20 Men, ann ekri yo, ann mande yo pou yo pa manje vyann bèt yo te ofri pou touye pou zidòl, pou yo egzante tout dezòd lachè, pou yo pa manje ni vyann bèt ki mouri toufe, ni san.
21 Paske, depi lontan lontan, y’ap fè konnen lalwa Moyiz la nan tout lavil yo. Se chak jou repo y’ap li l’ pou yo nan sinagòg yo.
22 ¶ Lè sa a, apòt yo, chèf fanmi yo ansanm ak tout legliz la deside pou yo chwazi kèk moun pami yo ki pou vwayaje al Antiòch ansanm ak Pòl ak Banabas. Yo chwazi Jid, ki te rele Basabas, ak Silas, de moun frè yo te respekte anpil.
23 Yo te ba yo lèt sa a pote ale: Apòt yo ak chèf fanmi yo, ki frè nou, voye bonjou pou tout frè nan moun lòt nasyon yo k’ap viv nan lavil Antiòch, nan peyi Siri ak nan peyi Silisi.
24 Nou te vin konnen te gen moun ki soti bò isit la al lakay nou. Yo pa t’ manke boulvèse nou, yo pa t’ manke fatige nou ak pawòl yo t’ap di. Men, nou menm nou pa t’ ba yo okenn lòd konsa.
25 Se poutèt sa, nou tout ki isit la, nou tonbe dakò pou nou chwazi kèk delege n’ap voye bò kote nou. Y’ap vwayaje ansanm ak Pòl ak Banabas, de frè nou renmen anpil,
26 ki te riske lavi yo pou non Jezikri, Seyè nou an.
27 Se konsa, nou voye Jid ak Silas ki va ban nou menm mesaj la ak pwòp bouch yo.
28 Pou Sentespri a ak pou nou menm, men sa nou jwenn ki bon pou di nan keksyon sa a: Nou p’ap mete lòt chay sou zepòl nou pase sa n’ dwe mete.
29 Pa manje vyann bèt ki te ofri pou zidòl, pa manje san, pa manje vyann bèt ki mouri toufe, egzante tout dezòd lachè. N’a fè byen si nou pa fè bagay sa yo. Bondye ak nou!
30 Apre sa, moun legliz Jerizalèm yo kite delege yo ale. Delege yo pati pou Antiòch. Lè yo rive, yo sanble tout moun ki te kwè yo, yo renmèt yo lèt la.
31 Lè yo fin li lèt la pou yo, tout moun te kontan pou bèl ankourajman lèt la te pote ba yo.
32 Jid ak Silas te de pwofèt. Yo pale lontan avèk frè yo, yo ba yo kont ankourajman ak fòs.
33 Yo pase kèk tan nan lavil Antiòch. Apre sa, frè yo swate yo bòn vwayaj ak kè poze. Yo menm, yo tounen ale jwenn moun ki te voye yo.
34 Men, Silas te pran desizyon pou l’ te rete.
35 Pòl ak Banabas pase kèk tan nan Antiòch. Ansanm ak anpil lòt frè, yo t’ap moutre moun yo anpil bagay, yo t’ap fè yo konnen pawòl Seyè a.
36 ¶ Kèk tan apre, Pòl di Banabas konsa: Ann al vizite frè yo ki nan tout lavil kote nou te anonse Pawòl Seyè a. Ann al wè ki jan yo ye.
37 Banabas te vle mennen Jan ki te gen ti non Mak la avèk yo.
38 Men, Pòl pa t’ kwè se te yon bon lide pou yo te mennen l’, paske, dènye fwa a, li te pati kite yo nan Panfili, li pa t’ rete nèt ak yo jouk vwayaj la te fini.
39 Lè sa a, yon diskisyon byen cho leve ant Pòl ak Banabas, tèlman yo separe yonn ak lòt. Banabas pran Mak avèk li, yo pran yon batiman, y’ ale lil Chip.
40 Pòl menm chwazi Silas. Apre frè yo fin renmèt li nan men Bondye k’ap ba l’ favè l’, li pati.
41 Li pase nan peyi Siri ak peyi Silisi; sou tout wout la li t’ap fòtifye legliz yo nan konfyans yo nan Bondye.

Actes 15
1 Quelques hommes, venus de la Judée, enseignaient les frères, en disant: Si vous n’êtes circoncis selon le rite de Moïse, vous ne pouvez être sauvés.
2 Paul et Barnabas eurent avec eux un débat et une vive discussion; et les frères décidèrent que Paul et Barnabas, et quelques-uns des leurs, monteraient à Jérusalem vers les apôtres et les anciens, pour traiter cette question.
3 Après avoir été accompagnés par l’Église, ils poursuivirent leur route à travers la Phénicie et la Samarie, racontant la conversion des païens, et ils causèrent une grande joie à tous les frères.
4 Arrivés à Jérusalem, ils furent reçus par l’Église, les apôtres et les anciens, et ils racontèrent tout ce que Dieu avait fait avec eux.
5 Alors quelques-uns du parti des pharisiens, qui avaient cru, se levèrent, en disant qu’il fallait circoncire les païens et exiger l’observation de la loi de Moïse.
6 Les apôtres et les anciens se réunirent pour examiner cette affaire.
7 Une grande discussion s’étant engagée, Pierre se leva, et leur dit: Hommes frères, vous savez que dès longtemps Dieu a fait un choix parmi vous, afin que, par ma bouche, les païens entendissent la parole de l’Évangile et qu’ils crussent.
8 Et Dieu, qui connaît les coeurs, leur a rendu témoignage, en leur donnant le Saint Esprit comme à nous;
9 il n’a fait aucune différence entre nous et eux, ayant purifié leurs coeurs par la foi.
10 Maintenant donc, pourquoi tentez-vous Dieu, en mettant sur le cou des disciples un joug que ni nos pères ni nous n’avons pu porter?
11 Mais c’est par la grâce du Seigneur Jésus que nous croyons être sauvés, de la même manière qu’eux.
12 Toute l’assemblée garda le silence, et l’on écouta Barnabas et Paul, qui racontèrent tous les miracles et les prodiges que Dieu avait faits par eux au milieu des païens.
13 Lorsqu’ils eurent cessé de parler, Jacques prit la parole, et dit: Hommes frères, écoutez-moi!
14 Simon a raconté comment Dieu a d’abord jeté les regards sur les nations pour choisir du milieu d’elles un peuple qui portât son nom.
15 Et avec cela s’accordent les paroles des prophètes, selon qu’il est écrit:
16 Après cela, je reviendrai, et je relèverai de sa chute la tente de David, J’en réparerai les ruines, et je la redresserai,
17 Afin que le reste des hommes cherche le Seigneur, Ainsi que toutes les nations sur lesquelles mon nom est invoqué, Dit le Seigneur, qui fait ces choses,
18 Et à qui elles sont connues de toute éternité.
19 C’est pourquoi je suis d’avis qu’on ne crée pas des difficultés à ceux des païens qui se convertissent à Dieu,
20 mais qu’on leur écrive de s’abstenir des souillures des idoles, de l’impudicité, des animaux étouffés et du sang.
21 Car, depuis bien des générations, Moïse a dans chaque ville des gens qui le prêchent, puisqu’on le lit tous les jours de sabbat dans les synagogues.
22 Alors il parut bon aux apôtres et aux anciens, et à toute l’Église, de choisir parmi eux et d’envoyer à Antioche, avec Paul et Barsabas, Jude appelé Barnabas et Silas, hommes considérés entre les frères.
23 Ils les chargèrent d’une lettre ainsi conçue: Les apôtres, les anciens, et les frères, aux frères d’entre les païens, qui sont à Antioche, en Syrie, et en Cilicie, salut!
24 Ayant appris que quelques hommes partis de chez nous, et auxquels nous n’avions donné aucun ordre, vous ont troublés par leurs discours et ont ébranlé vos âmes,
25 nous avons jugé à propos, après nous être réunis tous ensemble, de choisir des délégués et de vous les envoyer avec nos bien-aimés Barnabas et Paul,
26 ces hommes qui ont exposé leur vie pour le nom de notre Seigneur Jésus Christ.
27 Nous avons donc envoyé Jude et Silas, qui vous annonceront de leur bouche les mêmes choses.
28 Car il a paru bon au Saint Esprit et à nous de ne vous imposer d’autre charge que ce qui est nécessaire,
29 savoir, de vous abstenir des viandes sacrifiées aux idoles, du sang, des animaux étouffés, et de l’impudicité, choses contre lesquelles vous vous trouverez bien de vous tenir en garde. Adieu.
30 Eux donc, ayant pris congé de l’Église, allèrent à Antioche, où ils remirent la lettre à la multitude assemblée.
31 Après l’avoir lue, les frères furent réjouis de l’encouragement qu’elle leur apportait.
32 Jude et Silas, qui étaient eux-mêmes prophètes, les exhortèrent et les fortifièrent par plusieurs discours.
33 Au bout de quelque temps, les frères les laissèrent en paix retourner vers ceux qui les avaient envoyés.
34 Toutefois Silas trouva bon de rester.
35 Paul et Barnabas demeurèrent à Antioche, enseignant et annonçant, avec plusieurs autres, la bonne nouvelle de la parole du Seigneur.
36 Quelques jours s’écoulèrent, après lesquels Paul dit à Barnabas: Retournons visiter les frères dans toutes les villes où nous avons annoncé la parole du Seigneur, pour voir en quel état ils sont.
37 Barnabas voulait emmener aussi Jean, surnommé Marc;
38 mais Paul jugea plus convenable de ne pas prendre avec eux celui qui les avait quittés depuis la Pamphylie, et qui ne les avait point accompagnés dans leur oeuvre.
39 Ce dissentiment fut assez vif pour être cause qu’ils se séparèrent l’un de l’autre. Et Barnabas, prenant Marc avec lui, s’embarqua pour l’île de Chypre.
40 Paul fit choix de Silas, et partit, recommandé par les frères à la grâce du Seigneur.
41 Il parcourut la Syrie et la Cilicie, fortifiant les Églises.

Acts 15
1 And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.
2 When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question.
3 And being brought on their way by the church, they passed through Phenice and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused great joy unto all the brethren.
4 And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of the church, and of the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that God had done with them.
5 But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.
6 And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter.
7 And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.
8 And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;
9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
10 Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
11 But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.
12 Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.
13 And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me:
14 Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.
15 And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,
16 After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:
17 That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.
18 Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.
19 Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:
20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.
21 For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.
22 Then pleased it the apostles and elders with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas and Silas, chief men among the brethren:
23 And they wrote letters by them after this manner; The apostles and elders and brethren send greeting unto the brethren which are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia.
24 Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:
25 It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,
26 Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
27 We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who shall also tell you the same things by mouth.
28 For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;
29 That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.
30 So when they were dismissed, they came to Antioch: and when they had gathered the multitude together, they delivered the epistle:
31 Which when they had read, they rejoiced for the consolation.
32 And Judas and Silas, being prophets also themselves, exhorted the brethren with many words, and confirmed them.
33 And after they had tarried there a space, they were let go in peace from the brethren unto the apostles.
34 Notwithstanding it pleased Silas to abide there still.
35 Paul also and Barnabas continued in Antioch, teaching and preaching the word of the Lord, with many others also.
36 And some days after Paul said unto Barnabas, Let us go again and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they do.
37 And Barnabas determined to take with them John, whose surname was Mark.
38 But Paul thought not good to take him with them, who departed from them from Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work.
39 And the contention was so sharp between them, that they departed asunder one from the other: and so Barnabas took Mark, and sailed unto Cyprus;
40 And Paul chose Silas, and departed, being recommended by the brethren unto the grace of God.
41 And he went through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the churches.
