1 Pyè 1
1 Se poutèt sa, derasinen tout mechanste ki te nan lavi nou. Sispann bay manti, sispann fè ipokrizi, sispann fè jalouzi ak tripotaj.
2 Tankou timoun ki fenk fèt, se pou nou kriye dèyè bon lèt san dekoupe ki soti nan Bondye, pou nou kapab grandi, pou nou kapab fin delivre nèt.
3 Paske, nou deja goute Mèt la, nou wè jan li bon.
4 Pwoche vin jwenn Seyè a, li menm ki wòch vivan an. Moun te voye li jete paske pou yo li te san valè. Men, li gen anpil valè pou Bondye ki te chwazi li.
5 Nou menm tou, tankou wòch vivan, kite Bondye sèvi ak nou pou bati kay li a ak pouvwa Sentespri, pou nou ka sèvi l’ tankou prèt k’ap viv pou li. Konsa, gremesi Jezikri, n’a ofri bay Bondye ofrann ki soti nan kè nou, ofrann ki pou fè l’ plezi.
6 Se poutèt sa nou jwenn sa ekri nan Liv la: Men li, mwen mete yon wòch nan mitan peyi Siyon, yon wòch kwen mwen menm mwen chwazi epi ki gen anpil valè. Moun ki mete konfyans yo nan li p’ap janm soti wont.
7 Pou nou menm ki mete konfyans nou nan wòch la, wòch la gen anpil valè. Men, pou moun ki pa mete konfyans yo nan li, sa ki ekri nan Liv la pral rive vre: Wòch moun ki t’ap bati yo te voye jete a, se li menm ki tounen wòch ki kenbe kay la.
8 Se yon wòch k’ap fè moun bite, yon gwo wòch k’ap fè yo tonbe. Yo bite, paske yo pa koute pawòl la. Enben, se sa ki te sere pou yo.
9 Men nou menm, nou se yon ras Bondye chwazi, yon bann prèt k’ap sèvi Wa a, yon nasyon k’ap viv apa pou Bondye, yon pèp li achte. Li fè tou sa pou n’ te ka fè tout moun konnen bèl bagay Bondye te fè yo, Bondye ki rele nou soti nan fènwa a pou nou antre nan bèl limyè li a.
10 Anvan sa, nou pa t’ menm yon nasyon. Men koulye a, nou se pèp Bondye a. Anvan sa, Bondye pa t’ gen pitye pou nou. Koulye a, li gen pitye pou nou.
11 Zanmi m’ yo, men sa m’ap mande nou. M’ap pale ak nou koulye a tankou ak moun ki etranje, ki depasaj sou latè: Se pou nou kenbe tèt ak tout egzijans lachè a k’ap goumen kont nanm nou.
12 Se pou nou gen yon bon kondit nan mitan moun sa yo ki pa konn Bondye. Konsa, lè y’ap pale nou mal, lè y’ap di se yon bann malfektè nou ye, y’a gen pou yo rekonèt tout byen n’ap fè a, y’a fè lwanj Bondye lè la vin jije yo.
13 Soumèt devan tout otorite lèzòm etabli. Fè sa pou Bondye. Soumèt devan wa a, paske se li ki pi gwo chèf.
14 Soumèt devan majistra yo, paske wa a voye yo pou peni tout moun k’ap fè mal, pou fè lwanj tout moun k’ap fè byen.
15 Paske, Bondye vle pou n’ fè sa ki byen, pou n’ ka fèmen bouch moun sa yo ki pa konn anyen, ki san konprann.
16 Se pou nou viv tankou moun ki gen tout libète yo. Men, nou pa dwe pran libète sa a sèvi yon kouvèti pou nou fè sa ki mal. Se pou nou viv tankou moun k’ap sèvi Bondye.
17 Se pou nou bay chak moun respè li merite. renmen tout frè nou yo, gen krentif pou Bondye, respekte wa a.
18 Nou menm domestik yo, nou fèt pou soumèt devan mèt nou yo avèk tout respè yo merite. Pa sèlman devan mèt ki bon yo, mèt ki gen bon kè yo, men devan mèt ki gen karaktè difisil yo tou.
19 Bondye va beni nou, si, lè y’ap fè nou soufri pou sa nou pa fè, nou sipòte lafliksyon an paske nou konnen se sa Bondye vle.
20 Ki lwanj ki gen nan sa si nou sipòte lè y’ap maltrete nou pou sa nou fè ki mal? Men, si lè nou fè byen, nou sipòte tou sa y’ap fè nou soufri poutèt byen nou fè a, sa se yon bèl bagay devan Bondye.
21 Se pou sa menm Bondye te rele nou, paske Kris la te soufri pou nou. Li kite yon egzanp pou nou swiv pye pou pye.
22 Li pa t’ janm fè ankenn peche. Ankenn manti pa t’ janm soti nan bouch li.
23 Lè yo t’ap joure l’, li pa t’ reponn. Lè yo t’ap maltrete l’, li pa t’ mennase pesonn. Men, li renmèt kòz li nan men Bondye k’ap jije tout bagay san patipri.
24 Kris la te pote peche nou yo nan kò li sou bwa a, pou nou te kapab mouri annegad peche, pou nou te ka viv dwat devan Bondye. Li te kite yo maltrete l’ pou l’ te ka geri nou.
25 Nou te tankou mouton ki te pèdi bann yo. Men, koulye a, nou tounen vin jwenn Kris la ki gadò nou, k’ap veye sou nanm nou.

1 Pierre 1
1 Rejetant donc toute malice et toute ruse, la dissimulation, l’envie, et toute médisance,
2 désirez, comme des enfants nouveau-nés, le lait spirituel et pur, afin que par lui vous croissiez pour le salut,
3 si vous avez goûté que le Seigneur est bon.
4 Approchez-vous de lui, pierre vivante, rejetée par les hommes, mais choisie et précieuse devant Dieu;
5 et vous-mêmes, comme des pierres vivantes, édifiez-vous pour former une maison spirituelle, un saint sacerdoce, afin d’offrir des victimes spirituelles, agréables à Dieu par Jésus Christ.
6 Car il est dit dans l’Écriture: Voici, je mets en Sion une pierre angulaire, choisie, précieuse; Et celui qui croit en elle ne sera point confus.
7 L’honneur est donc pour vous, qui croyez. Mais, pour les incrédules, La pierre qu’ont rejetée ceux qui bâtissaient Est devenue la principale de l’angle, Et une pierre d’achoppement Et un rocher de scandale;
8 ils s’y heurtent pour n’avoir pas cru à la parole, et c’est à cela qu’ils sont destinés.
9 Vous, au contraire, vous êtes une race élue, un sacerdoce royal, une nation sainte, un peuple acquis, afin que vous annonciez les vertus de celui qui vous a appelés des ténèbres à son admirable lumière,
10 vous qui autrefois n’étiez pas un peuple, et qui maintenant êtes le peuple de Dieu, vous qui n’aviez pas obtenu miséricorde, et qui maintenant avez obtenu miséricorde.
11 Bien-aimés, je vous exhorte, comme étrangers et voyageurs sur la terre, à vous abstenir des convoitises charnelles qui font la guerre à l’âme.
12 Ayez au milieu des païens une bonne conduite, afin que, là même où ils vous calomnient comme si vous étiez des malfaiteurs, ils remarquent vos bonnes oeuvres, et glorifient Dieu, au jour où il les visitera.
13 Soyez soumis, à cause du Seigneur, à toute autorité établie parmi les hommes, soit au roi comme souverain,
14 soit aux gouverneurs comme envoyés par lui pour punir les malfaiteurs et pour approuver les gens de bien.
15 Car c’est la volonté de Dieu qu’en pratiquant le bien vous réduisiez au silence les hommes ignorants et insensés,
16 étant libres, sans faire de la liberté un voile qui couvre la méchanceté, mais agissant comme des serviteurs de Dieu.
17 Honorez tout le monde; aimez les frères; craignez Dieu; honorez le roi.
18 Serviteurs, soyez soumis en toute crainte à vos maîtres, non seulement à ceux qui sont bons et doux, mais aussi à ceux qui sont d’un caractère difficile.
19 Car c’est une grâce que de supporter des afflictions par motif de conscience envers Dieu, quand on souffre injustement.
20 En effet, quelle gloire y a-t-il à supporter de mauvais traitements pour avoir commis des fautes? Mais si vous supportez la souffrance lorsque vous faites ce qui est bien, c’est une grâce devant Dieu.
21 Et c’est à cela que vous avez été appelés, parce que Christ aussi a souffert pour vous, vous laissant un exemple, afin que vous suiviez ses traces,
22 Lui qui n’a point commis de péché, Et dans la bouche duquel il ne s’est point trouvé de fraude;
23 lui qui, injurié, ne rendait point d’injures, maltraité, ne faisait point de menaces, mais s’en remettait à celui qui juge justement;
24 lui qui a porté lui-même nos péchés en son corps sur le bois, afin que morts aux péchés nous vivions pour la justice; lui par les meurtrissures duquel vous avez été guéris.
25 Car vous étiez comme des brebis errantes. Mais maintenant vous êtes retournés vers le pasteur et le gardien de vos âmes.

1 Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,
2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
4 To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,
5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.
9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;
10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
11 Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.
13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;
14 Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.
15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:
16 As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.
17 Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.
18 Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward.
19 For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.
20 For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.
21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:
24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.
