1 Sedesyas te gen venteyennan lè li vin wa peyi Jida. Li pase onzan lavil Jerizalèm ap gouvènen peyi a. Manman l’ te rele Amoutal. Se te pitit fi Jeremi, moun lavil Libna.
2 Wa Sedesyas te fè sa ki mal devan Bondye menm jan ak Jojakim.
3 Se konsa, Seyè a te fache ni sou moun lavil Jerizalèm yo, ni sou moun peyi Jida yo, jouk jou li wete yo devan je l’. Sedesyas te pran lezam kont Nèbikadneza, wa Babilòn lan.
4 Se konsa, sou dezyèm jou dizyèm mwa nevyèm lanne depi Sedesyas te wa a, Nèbikadneza, wa Babilòn lan, vin atake lavil Jerizalèm ak tout lame li a. Yo moute kan yo devan miray lavil la, yo mete ranblè nan pye miray yo. Yo sènen l’ nèt.
5 Yo fèmen lavil la depi lè sa a rive sou onzyèm lanne rèy wa Sedeisas la.
6 Sou nevyèm jou katriyèm mwa menm lanne sa a, te gen yon sèl grangou nan lavil la, moun yo pa t’ gen anyen pou yo manje ankò.
7 Yo fè yon twou nan miray yo. Atout lame moun Babilòn yo te sènen lavil la nèt, tout sòlda jwif yo met deyò, yo kite lavil la nan mitan lannwit, yo pase nan mitan jaden wa a, yo desann nan wout pòtay la nan mitan de miray yo, yo pran chemen Fon Jouden an pou yo.
8 Men, lame moun Babilòn yo rapouswiv wa Sedesyas. Lè yo rive nan plenn bò lavil Jeriko yo, yo mete men sou li. Lè sa a, tout sòlda li yo gaye, yo kouri kite l’.
9 Lènmi yo pran wa a, yo mennen l’ bay wa Babilòn lan, ki te lavil Ribla nan peyi Amat la. Se la Nèbikadneza jije li.
10 Antan yo lavil Ribla, li fè yo koupe kou tout pitit wa Sedesyas yo devan wa a. Li fè koupe kou tout chèf peyi Jida yo tou.
11 Lèfini, li fè yo pete tou de je wa Sedesyas, epi yo mare l’ ak de gwo chenn fèt an kwiv. Yo mennen l’ lavil Babilòn. Yo mete Sedesyas nan prizon, li rete la jouk li mouri.
12 Sou dizyèm jou senkyèm mwa nan disnevyèm lanne rèy Nèbikadneza, wa Babilòn lan, Neboucharadan, chèf lagad la, yonn nan konseye li yo, antre lavil Jerizalèm.
13 Li met dife nan kay Bondye a ak nan palè wa a. Li boule dènye kay ki te lavil Jerizalèm, ata kay grannèg yo.
14 Li bay sòlda ki te avè l’ yo lòd demoli tout gwo miray ranpa lavil Jerizalèm yo met atè.
15 Lèfini, Neboucharadan, chèf lagad la, pran rès moun yo te kite lavil la, li depòte yo lavil Babilòn ansanm ak tout moun ki te vin rann tèt yo bay wa Babilòn lan ak tout bon bòs atizan ki te rete nan lavil la.
16 Men, li kite kèk moun nan mas pèp la ki pa t’ gen anyen. Li ba yo jaden rezen ak lòt jaden pou yo okipe.
17 Moun Babilòn yo pran gwo poto kwiv yo ki te nan tanp Seyè a, ansanm ak sipò yo, gwo basen kwiv yo, yo kraze yo fè ti moso, yo pote kwiv la ale lavil Babilòn.
18 Yo pran plat pou resevwa sann yo, pèl yo, kouto yo, gode yo, tas yo ak tout lòt bagay an kwiv yo te konn sèvi nan tanp lan.
19 Chèf lagad la pran dènye bagay ki te fèt an lò ak an ajan: kivèt yo, recho yo, gode yo, plat pou resevwa sann yo, lanp sèt branch yo, bòl yo ak tas yo,
20 de gwo poto yo, gwo basen lan ak douz estati towo ki te sèvi l’ sipò yo, ak kabwèt wa Salomon te fè fè an kwiv pou mete nan tanp lan. Tout bagay sa yo te lou anpil, pesonn pa t’ konn pèz yo.
21 De poto yo te parèy yonn ak lòt: yo chak te gen vennsèt pye wotè, se yon kòd dizwit pye longè ki pou ta fè wonn yo chak. Poto yo te vid nan mitan. Rebò yo te gen twa pous epesè.
22 Sou tèt chak poto te gen yon blòk an kwiv sèt pye edmi wotè. Sou tout wonn tèt poto yo, te gen desen ti chenn makònen yonn ak lòt, ak anpil pòtre grenad plake sou yo. Tout te fèt an kwiv. De poto yo te parèy.
23 Sou wonn tèt poto yo te gen san grenad antou, men antan ou anba ou te ka wè katrevensèz grenad sèlman.
24 Lèfini, Neboucharadan, chèf lagad la, pran Seraya, granprèt la, Sefanya, adjwen li an ansanm ak twa lòt chèf ki la pou veye pòtay tanp lan, li fè yo prizonye.
25 Nan lavil la, li pran chèf ki te alatèt lame a ansanm ak sèt lòt otorite ki te toujou avèk wa a, ak sekretè kòmandan lame a ki te reskonsab pou pran moun nan lame a, ak swasant lòt grannèg. Tout moun sa yo te nan lavil la toujou.
26 Neboucharadan pran yo, li mennen yo bay wa Babilòn lan lavil Ribla.
27 Wa a fè bat yo, lèfini li fè touye yo lavil Ribla nan peyi Amat. Se konsa yo te depòte moun peyi Jida yo byen lwen peyi yo.
28 Men kantite moun wa Nèbikadneza te depòte: Nan setyèm lanne rèy li a, li depòte twamil venntwa (3.023) moun peyi Jida.
29 Nan dizwityèm lanne rèy li a, li depòte witsantrannde (832) moun lavil Jerizalèm.
30 Nan venntwazyèm lanne rèy li a, Neboucharadan, chèf lagad la, te pran sètsankarannsenk (745) moun. Antou sa te fè katmil sisan (4.600) moun yo te depòte.
31 Premye lanne wa Evilmewodak pran pouvwa a lavil Babilòn, li fè pa Jojakim, wa peyi Jida a, li fè l’ soti nan prizon. Lè sa a, Jojakim te gen trannsizan onz mwa, vennsenk jou, jou pou jou, depi yo te depòte l’.
32 Evilmewodak te sèvi byen avè l’, li ba l’ premye plas nan mitan tout lòt wa yo te depòte lavil Babilòn tankou l’ yo.
33 Li wete rad prizonye ki te sou Jojakim lan, li fè l’ vin manje sou menm tab avè l’ jouk Jojakim mouri.
34 Chak jou, wa a ba li sa li te bezwen pou l’ viv, konsa, konsa, jouk li mouri.

1 Sédécias avait vingt et un ans lorsqu’il devint roi, et il régna onze ans à Jérusalem. Sa mère s’appelait Hamuthal, fille de Jérémie, de Libna.
2 Il fit ce qui est mal aux yeux de l’Éternel, entièrement comme avait fait Jojakim.
3 Et cela arriva à cause de la colère de l’Éternel contre Jérusalem et contre Juda, qu’il voulait rejeter de devant sa face. Et Sédécias se révolta contre le roi de Babylone.
4 La neuvième année du règne de Sédécias, le dixième jour du dixième mois, Nebucadnetsar, roi de Babylone, vint avec toute son armée contre Jérusalem; ils campèrent devant elle, et élevèrent des retranchements tout autour.
5 La ville fut assiégée jusqu’à la onzième année du roi Sédécias.
6 Le neuvième jour du quatrième mois, la famine était forte dans la ville, et il n’y avait pas de pain pour le peuple du pays.
7 Alors la brèche fut faite à la ville; et tous les gens de guerre s’enfuirent, et sortirent de la ville pendant la nuit par le chemin de la porte entre les deux murs près du jardin du roi, tandis que les Chaldéens environnaient la ville. Les fuyards prirent le chemin de la plaine.
8 Mais l’armée des Chaldéens poursuivit le roi, et ils atteignirent Sédécias dans les plaines de Jéricho; et toute son armée se dispersa loin de lui.
9 Ils saisirent le roi, et le firent monter vers le roi de Babylone à Ribla, dans le pays de Hamath; et il prononça contre lui une sentence.
10 Le roi de Babylone fit égorger les fils de Sédécias en sa présence; il fit aussi égorger tous les chefs de Juda à Ribla.
11 Puis il fit crever les yeux à Sédécias, et le fit lier avec des chaînes d’airain; le roi de Babylone l’emmena à Babylone, et il le tint en prison jusqu’au jour de sa mort.
12 Le dixième jour du cinquième mois, -c’était la dix-neuvième année du règne de Nebucadnetsar, roi de Babylone, -Nebuzaradan, chef des gardes, au service du roi de Babylone, vint à Jérusalem.
13 Il brûla la maison de l’Éternel, la maison du roi, et toutes les maisons de Jérusalem; il livra au feu toutes les maisons de quelque importance.
14 Toute l’armée des Chaldéens, qui était avec le chef des gardes, démolit toutes les murailles formant l’enceinte de Jérusalem.
15 Nebuzaradan, chef des gardes, emmena captifs une partie des plus pauvres du peuple, ceux du peuple qui étaient demeurés dans la ville, ceux qui s’étaient rendus au roi de Babylone, et le reste de la multitude.
16 Cependant Nebuzaradan, chef des gardes, laissa comme vignerons et comme laboureurs quelques-uns des plus pauvres du pays.
17 Les Chaldéens brisèrent les colonnes d’airain qui étaient dans la maison de l’Éternel, les bases, la mer d’airain qui était dans la maison de l’Éternel, et ils en emportèrent tout l’airain à Babylone.
18 Ils prirent les cendriers, les pelles, les couteaux, les coupes, les tasses, et tous les ustensiles d’airain avec lesquels on faisait le service.
19 Le chef des gardes prit encore les bassins, les brasiers, les coupes, les cendriers, les chandeliers, les tasses et les calices, ce qui était d’or et ce qui était d’argent.
20 Les deux colonnes, la mer, et les douze boeufs d’airain qui servaient de base, et que le roi Salomon avait faits pour la maison de l’Éternel, tous ces ustensiles d’airain avaient un poids inconnu.
21 La hauteur de l’une des colonnes était de dix-huit coudées, et un cordon de douze coudées l’entourait; elle était creuse, et son épaisseur avait quatre doigts;
22 il y avait au-dessus un chapiteau d’airain, et la hauteur d’un chapiteau était de cinq coudées; autour du chapiteau il y avait un treillis et des grenades, le tout d’airain; il en était de même pour la seconde colonne avec des grenades.
23 Il y avait quatre-vingt-seize grenades de chaque côté, et toutes les grenades autour du treillis étaient au nombre de cent.
24 Le chef des gardes prit Seraja, le souverain sacrificateur, Sophonie, le second sacrificateur, et les trois gardiens du seuil.
25 Et dans la ville il prit un eunuque qui avait sous son commandement les gens de guerre, sept hommes qui faisaient partie des conseillers du roi et qui furent trouvés dans la ville, le secrétaire du chef de l’armée qui était chargé d’enrôler le peuple du pays, et soixante hommes du peuple du pays qui se trouvèrent dans la ville.
26 Nebuzaradan, chef des gardes, les prit, et les conduisit vers le roi de Babylone à Ribla.
27 Le roi de Babylone les frappa et les fit mourir à Ribla, dans le pays de Hamath. Ainsi Juda fut emmené captif loin de son pays.
28 Voici le peuple que Nebucadnetsar emmena en captivité: la septième année, trois mille vingt-trois Juifs;
29 la dix-huitième année de Nebucadnetsar, il emmena de Jérusalem huit cent trente-deux personnes;
30 la vingt-troisième année de Nebucadnetsar, Nebuzaradan, chef des gardes, emmena sept cent quarante-cinq Juifs; en tout quatre mille six cents personnes.
31 La trente-septième année de la captivité de Jojakin, roi de Juda, le vingt-cinquième jour du douzième mois, Évil Merodac, roi de Babylone, dans la première année de son règne, releva la tête de Jojakin, roi de Juda, et le fit sortir de prison.
32 Il lui parla avec bonté, et il mit son trône au-dessus du trône des rois qui étaient avec lui à Babylone.
33 Il lui fit changer ses vêtements de prison, et Jojakin mangea toujours à sa table tout le temps de sa vie.
34 Le roi de Babylone pourvut constamment à son entretien journalier jusqu’au jour de sa mort, tout le temps de sa vie.

1 Zedekiah was one and twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Hamutal the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.
2 And he did that which was evil in the eyes of the Lord, according to all that Jehoiakim had done.
3 For through the anger of the Lord it came to pass in Jerusalem and Judah, till he had cast them out from his presence, that Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.
4 And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came, he and all his army, against Jerusalem, and pitched against it, and built forts against it round about.
5 So the city was besieged unto the eleventh year of king Zedekiah.
6 And in the fourth month, in the ninth day of the month, the famine was sore in the city, so that there was no bread for the people of the land.
7 Then the city was broken up, and all the men of war fled, and went forth out of the city by night by the way of the gate between the two walls, which was by the king’s garden; (now the Chaldeans were by the city round about:) and they went by the way of the plain.
8 But the army of the Chaldeans pursued after the king, and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho; and all his army was scattered from him.
9 Then they took the king, and carried him up unto the king of Babylon to Riblah in the land of Hamath; where he gave judgment upon him.
10 And the king of Babylon slew the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes: he slew also all the princes of Judah in Riblah.
11 Then he put out the eyes of Zedekiah; and the king of Babylon bound him in chains, and carried him to Babylon, and put him in prison till the day of his death.
12 Now in the fifth month, in the tenth day of the month, which was the nineteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, came Nebuzaradan, captain of the guard, which served the king of Babylon, into Jerusalem,
13 And burned the house of the Lord, and the king’s house; and all the houses of Jerusalem, and all the houses of the great men, burned he with fire:
14 And all the army of the Chaldeans, that were with the captain of the guard, brake down all the walls of Jerusalem round about.
15 Then Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive certain of the poor of the people, and the residue of the people that remained in the city, and those that fell away, that fell to the king of Babylon, and the rest of the multitude.
16 But Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard left certain of the poor of the land for vinedressers and for husbandmen.
17 Also the pillars of brass that were in the house of the Lord, and the bases, and the brasen sea that was in the house of the Lord, the Chaldeans brake, and carried all the brass of them to Babylon.
18 The caldrons also, and the shovels, and the snuffers, and the bowls, and the spoons, and all the vessels of brass wherewith they ministered, took they away.
19 And the basons, and the firepans, and the bowls, and the caldrons, and the candlesticks, and the spoons, and the cups; that which was of gold in gold, and that which was of silver in silver, took the captain of the guard away.
20 The two pillars, one sea, and twelve brasen bulls that were under the bases, which king Solomon had made in the house of the Lord: the brass of all these vessels was without weight.
21 And concerning the pillars, the height of one pillar was eighteen cubits; and a fillet of twelve cubits did compass it; and the thickness thereof was four fingers: it was hollow.
22 And a chapiter of brass was upon it; and the height of one chapiter was five cubits, with network and pomegranates upon the chapiters round about, all of brass. The second pillar also and the pomegranates were like unto these.
23 And there were ninety and six pomegranates on a side; and all the pomegranates upon the network were an hundred round about.
24 And the captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest, and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three keepers of the door:
25 He took also out of the city an eunuch, which had the charge of the men of war; and seven men of them that were near the king’s person, which were found in the city; and the principal scribe of the host, who mustered the people of the land; and threescore men of the people of the land, that were found in the midst of the city.
26 So Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard took them, and brought them to the king of Babylon to Riblah.
27 And the king of Babylon smote them, and put them to death in Riblah in the land of Hamath. Thus Judah was carried away captive out of his own land.
28 This is the people whom Nebuchadrezzar carried away captive: in the seventh year three thousand Jews and three and twenty:
29 In the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar he carried away captive from Jerusalem eight hundred thirty and two persons:
30 In the three and twentieth year of Nebuchadrezzar Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive of the Jews seven hundred forty and five persons: all the persons were four thousand and six hundred.
31 And it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, in the five and twentieth day of the month, that Evilmerodach king of Babylon in the first year of his reign lifted up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah, and brought him forth out of prison.
32 And spake kindly unto him, and set his throne above the throne of the kings that were with him in Babylon,
33 And changed his prison garments: and he did continually eat bread before him all the days of his life.
34 And for his diet, there was a continual diet given him of the king of Babylon, every day a portion until the day of his death, all the days of his life.
