1 Nan legliz Antiòch la te gen kèk pwofèt ak moun ki t’ap bay enstriksyon: se te Banabas, Simeon (yo te rele Ti Nwa), Lisiyis, moun Sirèn, Manayèn (ki te grandi ansanm ak Ewòd, gouvènè a), epi Sòl.
2 Yon jou, yo t’ap fè sèvis pou Bondye, yo t’ap fè jèn, lè Sentespri di yo: Mete Banabas ak Sòl apa pou mwen, pou yo fè travay mwen chwazi pou yo fè a.
3 Lè sa a, yo fè jèn, yo lapriyè, yo mete men sou tèt Banabas ak Sòl, epi yo kite yo ale.
4 Se konsa Sentespri te voye Banabas ak Sòl an misyon. Y’ al nan peyi Selesi. Antan yo la, yo pran yon batiman pou lil Chip.
5 Lè yo rive Salamin yo tanmen anonse pawòl Bondye a nan sinagòg jwif yo. Yo te gen Jan Mak avèk yo pou ede yo.
6 Yo travèse tout lil la nèt jouk Pafòs. Rive la, yo jwenn yon majisyen ki te rele Bajezi. Se te yon jwif ki te pran pòz pwofèt li.
7 Li te bon zanmi ak Sèjiyis Polis, chèf lil la. Sèjiyis Polis la te yon nonm lespri. Li fè rele Banabas ak Sòl paske li te vle tande pawòl Bondye a.
8 Men, Elimas (se te non majisyen an nan lang grèk) t’ap kenbe tèt ak yo. Li t’ap chache detounen gouvènè a pou l’ pa t’ kwè.
9 Men, Sòl (yo te rele Pòl tou), anba pouvwa Sentespri, fikse je l’ sou majisyen an,
10 li di li: Ou menm, ou se pitit Satan. Ou plen riz ak mechanste nan kè ou, ou pa vle wè anyen ki bon. Eske ou p’ap sispann vire travay Bondye a lanvè?
11 Koulye a, koute: Bondye pral mete men sou ou: ou pral vin avèg, ou p’ap wè limyè solèy pou kèk tan. Menm lè a, je Elimas vin bouche, li wè tou nwa. Li t’ap vire adwat agoch, li t’ap chache yon moun pou pran men l’ pou kondi li.
12 Lè gouvènè a wè sak te rive a, li kwè. Sa te frape l’ anpil lè l’ tande tou sa yo t’ap moutre li sou Seyè a.
13 Pòl ak kanmarad li yo pran batiman nan lavil Pafòs, y’ al lavil Pèj nan peyi Panfili. Antan yo la, Jan Mak kite yo, li tounen Jerizalèm.
14 Yo kite Pèj, yo pousib wout yo jouk yo rive lavil Antiòch nan peyi Pisidi. Jou repo a, yo antre nan sinagòg la, yo chita.

17 Bondye pèp Izrayèl la te chwazi zansèt nou yo. Antan yo t’ap viv tankou etranje nan peyi Lejip, li fè pèp la vin yon kantite. Apre sa, ak fòs ponyèt li, li fè yo soti kite peyi a.
18 Pandan karantan, li pran pasyans ak yo nan dezè a.
19 Li detwi sèt nasyon nan peyi Kanaran, li pran tout tè yo, li bay pèp li a pou pwopryete pa yo,
20 pou katsansenkant (450) lanne. Apre sa, li mete jij pou kòmande yo jouk pou rive nan tan pwofèt Samyèl.
21 Lè sa a, yo mande pou yon wa. Bondye ba yo Sayil, pitit gason Kis la, moun branch fanmi Benjamen, pou wa pandan karantan.
22 Lè li wete Sayil, li ba yo David pou wa. Men sa Bondye te di sou David: Mwen jwenn David, pitit gason Izayi a. Se yon nonm ki fè m’ plezi. Li va fè tou sa m’ vle l’ fè.
23 Se Jezi, yonn nan pitit pitit David yo, Bondye mete pou delivre pèp Izrayèl la, jan l’ te pwomèt la.
24 Men, anvan Jezi te vini, Jan t’ap mache bay mesaj sa a, li t’ap rele tout pèp Izrayèl la pou yo te tounen vin jwenn Bondye, pou yo te resevwa batèm.
25 Lè Jan te prèt pou fini ak misyon l’ lan, li di pèp la: Ki moun nou kwè mwen ye? Moun n’ap tann lan, se pa mwen. Men, koute, moun sa a ap vini apre mwen. Mwen menm, mwen pa bon ase pou m’ ta demare kòd sapat ki nan pye li.
26 Frè m’ yo, nou menm moun ras Abraram lan ak nou menm moun lòt nasyon isit la ki gen krentif pou Bondye, Bondye voye di nou li vin delivre nou.
27 Paske, moun lavil Jerizalèm ansanm ak chèf yo pa t’ konnen ki moun Jezi te ye. Yo pa t’ konprann sans pawòl pwofèt yo, pawòl ki li nan zòrèy yo chak jou repo. Men, se yo menm ankò ki fè tout pawòl sa yo rive vre lè yo te kondannen Jezi.
28 Atout yo pa t’ jwenn anyen nan sa Jezi te fè ki pou ta fè l’ merite lanmò, yo te mande Pilat fè touye li.
29 Lè yo fin fè tout bagay ki te ekri sou li nan liv yo rive vre, yo desann li sou kwa a, yo mete l’ nan yon kavo.
30 Men, Bondye fè l’ leve soti vivan nan lanmò.
31 Apre sa, pandan plizyè jou, moun ki te moute Jerizalèm soti peyi Galile ansanm avèk li yo, yo te wè l’ ak je yo. Se yo menm k’ap sèvi l’ temwen koulye a devan pèp Izrayèl la.
32 Nou menm, nou vin fè nou konnen bon nouvèl sa a isit la. Bagay Bondye te pwomèt zansèt nou yo,
33 li fè l’ pou nou ki pitit pitit yo: li fè Jezi leve soti vivan nan lanmò, dapre sa ki ekri nan Sòm de a: Ou se pitit mwen. Depi jòdi a se mwen ki papa ou.
34 Bondye te fè konnen li t’ap fè l’ soti vivan nan lanmò pou l’ pa t’ janm tounen pouriti ankò. Se sa l’ te fè konnen, lè l’ te di: M’a ba ou tout benediksyon mwen te pwomèt David yo, ou mèt konte sou yo.
35 Se poutèt sa, yon lòt kote li di konsa: Ou pa penmèt moun k’ap sèvi ou la pouri anba tè.
36 Men, apre David te fin sèvi plan Bondye nan mitan moun ki t’ap viv menm lè avè l’ yo, li mouri. Yo antere l’ menm kote ak zansèt li yo, epi li pouri anba tè.
37 Men, moun Bondye te leve soti vivan nan lanmò a, li pa janm pouri anba tè.

39 Frè m’ yo, nou fèt pou nou konn sa byen: Bondye voye Jezi fè nou konnen l’ap padonnen tout peche nou yo: tout moun ki mete konfyans yo nan Jezi, y’ap delivre anba tout peche lalwa Moyiz pa t’ ka wete pou yo.
40 Atansyon pou bagay pwofèt yo te di a pa rive nou:
41 Gade non, nou menm k’ap meprize moun, sezisman pral touye nou. Paske mwen pral fè yon travay koulye a nan mitan nou, bagay nou pa ta kwè, menm si moun ta rakonte nou li.
42 Antan Banabas ak Pòl t’ap soti nan sinagòg la, moun yo mande yo pou yo tounen jou repo k’ap vini an pou pale sou tout bagay sa yo ankò.
43 Apre reyinyon an, anpil jwif ak anpil moun lòt nasyon ki te konvèti nan relijyon jwif yo te swiv Pòl ak Banabas. Apòt yo menm te pale ak yo, yo te ankouraje yo pou yo rete fèm nan favè Bondye.
44 Jou repo ki vin apre a, prèske tout moun nan lavil la te sanble pou tande pawòl Seyè a.
45 Lè jwif yo wè foul moun yo, yo pran fè jalouzi: yo t’ap demanti tou sa Pòl t’ap di a, yo t’ap joure li.
46 Men, Pòl ak Banabas di yo kareman: Se nou menm premye moun ki pou te resevwa Pawòl Bondye a. Men, n’ap repouse l’, nou pa konsidere tèt nou bon ase pou n’ antre nan lavi ki p’ap janm fini an. Enben, koulye a nou pral vire bò kote moun lòt nasyon yo.
47 Men lòd Bondye te ban nou: Mwen mete ou pou sèvi yon limyè pou lòt nasyon yo, pou ou kapab ale toupatou sou latè, moutre ki jan tout moun ka jwenn delivrans.
48 Lè moun lòt nasyon yo tande sa, yo pa t’ manke kontan: yo pran fè lwanj pawòl Bondye a. Tout moun Bondye te chwazi davans pou resevwa lavi ki p’ap janm fini an te kwè.
49 Pawòl Bondye a t’ap gaye toupatou nan peyi a.
50 Men, jwif yo moute tèt medam lasosyete ki te konvèti nan relijyon jwif yo, ansanm ak grannèg lavil yo. Yo tout yo pran pèsekite Pòl ak Banabas: yo mete yo deyò nan peyi a.
51 Pòl ak Banabas souke pousyè pye yo sou yo, y’ ale lavil Ikoniòm.
52 Nan Antiòch menm, disip yo te kontan anpil, Sentespri te plen kè yo.

Actes 13
1 Il y avait dans l’Église d’Antioche des prophètes et des docteurs: Barnabas, Siméon appelé Niger, Lucius de Cyrène, Manahen, qui avait été élevé avec Hérode le tétrarque, et Saul.
2 Pendant qu’ils servaient le Seigneur dans leur ministère et qu’ils jeûnaient, le Saint Esprit dit: Mettez-moi à part Barnabas et Saul pour l’oeuvre à laquelle je les ai appelés.
3 Alors, après avoir jeûné et prié, ils leur imposèrent les mains, et les laissèrent partir.
4 Barnabas et Saul, envoyés par le Saint Esprit, descendirent à Séleucie, et de là ils s’embarquèrent pour l’île de Chypre.
5 Arrivés à Salamine, ils annoncèrent la parole de Dieu dans les synagogues des Juifs. Ils avaient Jean pour aide.
6 Ayant ensuite traversé toute l’île jusqu’à Paphos, ils trouvèrent un certain magicien, faux prophète juif, nommé Bar Jésus,
7 qui était avec le proconsul Sergius Paulus, homme intelligent. Ce dernier fit appeler Barnabas et Saul, et manifesta le désir d’entendre la parole de Dieu.
8 Mais Élymas, le magicien, -car c’est ce que signifie son nom, -leur faisait opposition, cherchant à détourner de la foi le proconsul.
9 Alors Saul, appelé aussi Paul, rempli du Saint Esprit, fixa les regards sur lui, et dit:
10 Homme plein de toute espèce de ruse et de fraude, fils du diable, ennemi de toute justice, ne cesseras-tu point de pervertir les voies droites du Seigneur?
11 Maintenant voici, la main du Seigneur est sur toi, tu seras aveugle, et pour un temps tu ne verras pas le soleil. Aussitôt l’obscurité et les ténèbres tombèrent sur lui, et il cherchait, en tâtonnant, des personnes pour le guider.
12 Alors le proconsul, voyant ce qui était arrivé, crut, étant frappé de la doctrine du Seigneur.
13 Paul et ses compagnons, s’étant embarqués à Paphos, se rendirent à Perge en Pamphylie. Jean se sépara d’eux, et retourna à Jérusalem.
14 De Perge ils poursuivirent leur route, et arrivèrent à Antioche de Pisidie. Étant entrés dans la synagogue le jour du sabbat, ils s’assirent.
15 Après la lecture de la loi et des prophètes, les chefs de la synagogue leur envoyèrent dire: Hommes frères, si vous avez quelque exhortation à adresser au peuple, parlez.
16 Paul se leva, et, ayant fait signe de la main, il dit: Hommes Israélites, et vous qui craignez Dieu, écoutez!
17 Le Dieu de ce peuple d’Israël a choisi nos pères. Il mit ce peuple en honneur pendant son séjour au pays d’Égypte, et il l’en fit sortir par son bras puissant.
18 Il les nourrit près de quarante ans dans le désert;
19 et, ayant détruit sept nations au pays de Canaan, il leur en accorda le territoire comme propriété.
20 Après cela, durant quatre cent cinquante ans environ, il leur donna des juges, jusqu’au prophète Samuel.
21 Ils demandèrent alors un roi. Et Dieu leur donna, pendant quarante ans, Saül, fils de Kis, de la tribu de Benjamin;
22 puis, l’ayant rejeté, il leur suscita pour roi David, auquel il a rendu ce témoignage: J’ai trouvé David, fils d’Isaï, homme selon mon coeur, qui accomplira toutes mes volontés.
23 C’est de la postérité de David que Dieu, selon sa promesse, a suscité à Israël un Sauveur, qui est Jésus.
24 Avant sa venue, Jean avait prêché le baptême de repentance à tout le peuple d’Israël.
25 Et lorsque Jean achevait sa course, il disait: Je ne suis pas celui que vous pensez; mais voici, après moi vient celui des pieds duquel je ne suis pas digne de délier les souliers.
26 Hommes frères, fils de la race d’Abraham, et vous qui craignez Dieu, c’est à vous que cette parole de salut a été envoyée.
27 Car les habitants de Jérusalem et leurs chefs ont méconnu Jésus, et, en le condamnant, ils ont accompli les paroles des prophètes qui se lisent chaque sabbat.
28 Quoiqu’ils ne trouvassent en lui rien qui fût digne de mort, ils ont demandé à Pilate de le faire mourir.
29 Et, après qu’ils eurent accompli tout ce qui est écrit de lui, ils le descendirent de la croix et le déposèrent dans un sépulcre.
30 Mais Dieu l’a ressuscité des morts.
31 Il est apparu pendant plusieurs jours à ceux qui étaient montés avec lui de la Galilée à Jérusalem, et qui sont maintenant ses témoins auprès du peuple.
32 Et nous, nous vous annonçons cette bonne nouvelle que la promesse faite à nos pères,
33 Dieu l’a accomplie pour nous leurs enfants, en ressuscitant Jésus, selon ce qui est écrit dans le Psaume deuxième: Tu es mon Fils, Je t’ai engendré aujourd’hui.
34 Qu’il l’ait ressuscité des morts, de telle sorte qu’il ne retournera pas à la corruption, c’est ce qu’il a déclaré, en disant: Je vous donnerai Les grâces saintes promises à David, ces grâces qui sont assurées.
35 C’est pourquoi il dit encore ailleurs: Tu ne permettras pas que ton Saint voie la corruption.
36 Or, David, après avoir en son temps servi au dessein de Dieu, est mort, a été réuni à ses pères, et a vu la corruption.
37 Mais celui que Dieu a ressuscité n’a pas vu la corruption.
38 Sachez donc, hommes frères, que c’est par lui que le pardon des péchés vous est annoncé,
39 et que quiconque croit est justifié par lui de toutes les choses dont vous ne pouviez être justifiés par la loi de Moïse.
40 Ainsi, prenez garde qu’il ne vous arrive ce qui est dit dans les prophètes:
41 Voyez, contempteurs, Soyez étonnés et disparaissez; Car je vais faire en vos jours une oeuvre, Une oeuvre que vous ne croiriez pas si on vous la racontait.
42 Lorsqu’ils sortirent, on les pria de parler le sabbat suivant sur les mêmes choses;
43 et, à l’issue de l’assemblée, beaucoup de Juifs et de prosélytes pieux suivirent Paul et Barnabas, qui s’entretinrent avec eux, et les exhortèrent à rester attachés à la grâce de Dieu.
44 Le sabbat suivant, presque toute la ville se rassembla pour entendre la parole de Dieu.
45 Les Juifs, voyant la foule, furent remplis de jalousie, et ils s’opposaient à ce que disait Paul, en le contredisant et en l’injuriant.
46 Paul et Barnabas leur dirent avec assurance: C’est à vous premièrement que la parole de Dieu devait être annoncée; mais, puisque vous la repoussez, et que vous vous jugez vous-mêmes indignes de la vie éternelle, voici, nous nous tournons vers les païens.
47 Car ainsi nous l’a ordonné le Seigneur: Je t’ai établi pour être la lumière des nations, Pour porter le salut jusqu’aux extrémités de la terre.
48 Les païens se réjouissaient en entendant cela, ils glorifiaient la parole du Seigneur, et tous ceux qui étaient destinés à la vie éternelle crurent.
49 La parole du Seigneur se répandait dans tout le pays.
50 Mais les Juifs excitèrent les femmes dévotes de distinction et les principaux de la ville; ils provoquèrent une persécution contre Paul et Barnabas, et ils les chassèrent de leur territoire.
51 Paul et Barnabas secouèrent contre eux la poussière de leurs pieds, et allèrent à Icone,
52 tandis que les disciples étaient remplis de joie et du Saint Esprit.

1 Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.
2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.
3 And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.
4 So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, departed unto Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus.
5 And when they were at Salamis, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews: and they had also John to their minister.
6 And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Barjesus:
7 Which was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God.
8 But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith.
9 Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him.
10 And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?
11 And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand.
12 Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the doctrine of the Lord.
13 Now when Paul and his company loosed from Paphos, they came to Perga in Pamphylia: and John departing from them returned to Jerusalem.
14 But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down.
15 And after the reading of the law and the prophets the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, Ye men and brethren, if ye have any word of exhortation for the people, say on.
16 Then Paul stood up, and beckoning with his hand said, Men of Israel, and ye that fear God, give audience.
17 The God of this people of Israel chose our fathers, and exalted the people when they dwelt as strangers in the land of Egypt, and with an high arm brought he them out of it.
18 And about the time of forty years suffered he their manners in the wilderness.
19 And when he had destroyed seven nations in the land of Chanaan, he divided their land to them by lot.
20 And after that he gave unto them judges about the space of four hundred and fifty years, until Samuel the prophet.
21 And afterward they desired a king: and God gave unto them Saul the son of Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, by the space of forty years.
22 And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave their testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.
23 Of this man’s seed hath God according to his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus:
24 When John had first preached before his coming the baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel.
25 And as John fulfilled his course, he said, Whom think ye that I am? I am not he. But, behold, there cometh one after me, whose shoes of his feet I am not worthy to loose.
26 Men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.
27 For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him.
28 And though they found no cause of death in him, yet desired they Pilate that he should be slain.
29 And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a sepulchre.
30 But God raised him from the dead:
31 And he was seen many days of them which came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are his witnesses unto the people.
32 And we declare unto you glad tidings, how that the promise which was made unto the fathers,
33 God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.
34 And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he said on this wise, I will give you the sure mercies of David.
35 Wherefore he saith also in another psalm, Thou shalt not suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
36 For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption:
37 But he, whom God raised again, saw no corruption.
38 Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:
39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.
40 Beware therefore, lest that come upon you, which is spoken of in the prophets;
41 Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work a work in your days, a work which ye shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto you.
42 And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath.
43 Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.
44 And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God.
45 But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming.
46 Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.
47 For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.
48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.
49 And the word of the Lord was published throughout all the region.
50 But the Jews stirred up the devout and honourable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them out of their coasts.
51 But they shook off the dust of their feet against them, and came unto Iconium.
52 And the disciples were filled with joy, and with the Holy Ghost.
