1 Pou fini, frè m’ yo, lapriyè pou mwen pou pawòl Seyè a ka kontinye gaye toupatou byen vit, pou li resevwa lwanj tankou sa te fèt pami nou.
2 Lapriyè tou pou Bondye ka delivre m’ anba move moun yo, mechan sa yo. Paske, se pa tout moun ki asepte kwè.
3 Men, Bondye ap toujou kenbe pawòl li. L’ap ban nou fòs, la pwoteje nou anba Satan.
4 Seyè a fè m’ gen konfyans nan nou: li ban m’ lasirans n’ap fè sa m’ te mande nou fè a, epi n’ap toujou kontinye fè l’ tou.
5 Mwen mande Seyè a pou l’ dirije kè nou pou nou ka renmen Bondye, pou nou ka gen pasyans tankou Kris la.
6 Frè m’ yo, men sa m’ap mande nou nan non Jezikri, Seyè a: Pran distans nou ak tout frè k’ap fè parese, ki p’ap konfòme yo ak sa m’ te moutre nou.
7 Nou menm, nou konnen sa pou nou fè pou nou ka swiv egzanp mwen ban nou. Mwen pa t’ fè parese lè m’ te nan mitan nou.
8 Mwen pa t’ kite pesonn ban m’ manje pou gremesi. Okontrè, mwen te travay di, mwen te fatige kò mwen anpil, lajounen kou lannwit, pou m’ pa t’ sou kont nou yonn.
9 Se pa paske mwen pa t’ gen dwa resevwa anyen nan men pesonn ki fè m’ te fè sa. Non. Se paske mwen te vle ban nou yon egzanp pou nou te swiv.
10 Nou chonje lè m’ te lakay nou, mwen te di nou: moun ki pa travay pa gen dwa manje non plis.
11 M’ap pale konsa ak nou paske m’ pran nouvèl gen kèk moun nan mitan nou k’ap fè parese, ki pa vle fè lòt bagay pase foure bouch yo nan zafè lòt moun.
12 Men sa m’ap voye di moun sa yo: Nan non Jezikri, Seyè a, m’ap mande nou pou nou travay nan lòd, pou nou manje swe kouraj nou.
13 Pou nou menm, frè m’ yo, pa janm bouke fè sa ki byen.
14 Si yon moun pa swiv lòd mwen bay nan lèt sa a, make li. Piga pesonn gen okenn rapò avè l’, pou l’ sa wont.
15 Men, se pa poutèt sa pou nou fè lènmi avè li. Okontrè, pale avè l’ tankou yon frè.
16 Mwen mande Seyè a ki konn bay kè poze, pou li fè kè nou poze tout tan, tout jan, pou li toujou la avèk nou tout.
17 Se mwen menm Pòl k’ap ekri mo sa yo: mwen voye bonjou pou nou tout. Se konsa mwen siyen tout lèt mwen yo, se konsa mwen toujou ekri.
18 Se pou benediksyon Jezikri, Seyè nou an, toujou la avèk nou tout.

1 Au reste, frères, priez pour nous, afin que la parole du Seigneur se répande et soit glorifiée comme elle l’est chez-vous,
2 et afin que nous soyons délivrés des hommes méchants et pervers; car tous n’ont pas la foi.
3 Le Seigneur est fidèle, il vous affermira et vous préservera du malin.
4 Nous avons à votre égard cette confiance dans le Seigneur que vous faites et que vous ferez les choses que nous recommandons.
5 Que le Seigneur dirige vos coeurs vers l’amour de Dieu et vers la patience de Christ!
6 nous vous recommandons, frères, au nom de notre Seigneur Jésus Christ, de vous éloigner de tout frère qui vit dans le désordre, et non selon les instructions que vous avez reçues de nous.
7 Vous savez vous-mêmes comment il faut nous imiter, car nous n’avons pas vécu parmi vous dans le désordre.
8 Nous n’avons mangé gratuitement le pain de personne; mais, dans le travail et dans la peine, nous avons été nuit et jour à l’oeuvre, pour n’être à charge à aucun de vous.
9 Ce n’est pas que nous n’en eussions le droit, mais nous avons voulu vous donner en nous-mêmes un modèle à imiter.
10 Car, lorsque nous étions chez vous, nous vous disions expressément: Si quelqu’un ne veut pas travailler, qu’il ne mange pas non plus.
11 Nous apprenons, cependant, qu’il y en a parmi vous quelques-uns qui vivent dans le désordre, qui ne travaillent pas, mais qui s’occupent de futilités.
12 Nous invitons ces gens-là, et nous les exhortons par le Seigneur Jésus Christ, à manger leur propre pain, en travaillant paisiblement.
13 Pour vous, frères, ne vous lassez pas de faire le bien.
14 Et si quelqu’un n’obéit pas à ce que nous disons par cette lettre, notez-le, et n’ayez point de communication avec lui, afin qu’il éprouve de la honte.
15 Ne le regardez pas comme un ennemi, mais avertissez-le comme un frère.
16 Que le Seigneur de la paix vous donne lui-même le paix en tout temps, de toute manière! Que le Seigneur soit avec vous tous!
17 Je vous salue, moi Paul, de ma propre main. C’est là ma signature dans toutes mes lettres; c’est ainsi que j’écris.
18 Que la grâce de notre Seigneur Jésus Christ soit avec vous tous!

1 Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:
2 And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.
3 But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.
4 And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.
5 And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.
6 Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.
7 For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;
8 Neither did we eat any man’s bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:
9 Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.
10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
11 For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.
12 Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.
13 But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.
14 And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.
15 Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.
16 Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.
17 The salutation of Paul with mine own hand, which is the token in every epistle: so I write.
18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
