1 Mwen pa wè rezòn pou m’ voye di nou anyen sou keksyon sekou n’ap voye bay manm pèp Bondye ki nan peyi Jide a.
2 Mwen konnen jan nou vle ede, mwen pa t’ manke kontan pale byen pou nou ak moun Masedwan yo lè m’ te di yo: Depi lanne pase anwo, frè ki nan peyi Lakayi yo pare pou ede. Se konsa lanpresman nou pou bay te eksite anpil ladan yo bay tou.
3 Malgre sa, m’ap voye frè sa yo bò kote nou pou bèl pawòl mwen te di pou nou sou zafè sekou sa a pa pase pou manti. Mwen ta renmen wè nou pare vre, jan mwen te di l’ la.
4 Ala wont mwen ta wont si, pou lè moun peyi Masedwan yo ta vin ansanm avè m’, yo ta jwenn nou pa pare! Jan m’ te konte sou nou sa! Mwen pa bezwen pale jan nou menm tou nou ta wont!
5 Se sak fè, mwen kwè se te nesesè pou m’ te mande frè sa yo pou y’ al lakay nou anvan mwen, pou nou ka pare kado nou te pwòmèt nou t’ap bay la. Konsa, lè m’a rive mwen menm, kado a va tou pare. Lè sa a, moun yo va wè nou bay paske nou vle, pa paske yo fòse nou.
6 Chonje sa byen: Moun ki simen ti kras va rekòlte ti kras. Moun ki simen anpil va rekòlte anpil.
7 Se pou chak moun bay jan yo te deside nan kè yo, san yo pa règrèt anyen, san moun pa bezwen fòse yo, paske Bondye renmen moun ki bay ak kè kontan.
8 Bondye menm gen pouvwa pou l’ ban nou tout kalite benediksyon an kantite. Li fè sa, pa sèlman pou nou ka toujou genyen tou sa nou bezwen, men pou nou ka gen rès ki rete pou n’ fè tout kalite bon zèv.
9 Se sa menm ki ekri nan Liv la: Li bay moun ki nan nesesite yo san gad dèyè. L’ap toujou gen kè nan men.
10 Bondye ki bay moun k’ap simen an grenn pou l’ simen ak pen pou l’ manje, l’a ban nou tou sa nou bezwen pou simen. L’a fè l’ pouse pou nou, pou nou ka fè yon bèl rekòt lè nou bay an kantite konsa.
11 Bondye ap toujou fè nou rich ase pou nou ka toujou bay ak tout kè nou. Konsa, anpil moun va di Bondye mèsi pou kado n’a ban mwen pou yo.
12 Se pou nou konn sa byen: sèvis n’ap rann lè nou bay lajan sa a, se pa sèlman pou bay moun pèp Bondye sa yo bezwen. Men, akòz sèvis sa a, anpil moun pral lapriyè Bondye pou di l’ mèsi.
13 Sèvis sa a ap fè yo wè ki kalite moun nou ye. Yo pral fè lwanj Bondye, paske sekou sa a pral fè yo wè jan nou soumèt, jan nou kwè nan bon nouvèl ki pale sou Kris la. Y’a fè lwanj Bondye tou pou jan nou separe byen nou yo ak yo ansanm ak tout lòt yo.
14 Y’a lapriyè pou nou, y’a renmen nou anpil akòz gwo favè sa a Bondye fè pou nou.
15 Ann di Bondye mèsi pou gwo kado sa a li ban nou, yon kado ki pa gen parèy li!

1 Il est superflu que je vous écrive touchant l’assistance destinée aux saints.
2 Je connais, en effet, votre bonne volonté, dont je me glorifie pour vous auprès des Macédoniens, en déclarant que l’Achaïe est prête depuis l’année dernière; et ce zèle de votre part a stimulé le plus grand nombre.
3 J’envoie les frères, afin que l’éloge que nous avons fait de vous ne soit pas réduit à néant sur ce point-là, et que vous soyez prêts, comme je l’ai dit.
4 Je ne voudrais pas, si les Macédoniens m’accompagnent et ne vous trouvent pas prêts, que cette assurance tournât à notre confusion, pour ne pas dire à la vôtre.
5 J’ai donc jugé nécessaire d’inviter les frères à se rendre auparavant chez vous, et à s’occuper de votre libéralité déjà promise, afin qu’elle soit prête, de manière à être une libéralité, et non un acte d’avarice.
6 Sachez-le, celui qui sème peu moissonnera peu, et celui qui sème abondamment moissonnera abondamment.
7 Que chacun donne comme il l’a résolu en son coeur, sans tristesse ni contrainte; car Dieu aime celui qui donne avec joie.
8 Et Dieu peut vous combler de toutes sortes de grâces, afin que, possédant toujours en toutes choses de quoi satisfaire à tous vos besoins, vous ayez encore en abondance pour toute bonne oeuvre,
9 selon qu’il est écrit: Il a fait des largesses, il a donné aux indigents; Sa justice subsiste à jamais.
10 Celui qui Fournit de la semence au semeur, Et du pain pour sa nourriture, vous fournira et vous multipliera la semence, et il augmentera les fruits de votre justice.
11 Vous serez de la sorte enrichis à tous égards pour toute espèce de libéralités qui, par notre moyen, feront offrir à Dieu des actions de grâces.
12 Car le secours de cette assistance non seulement pourvoit aux besoins des saints, mais il est encore une source abondante de nombreuses actions de grâces envers Dieu.
13 En considération de ce secours dont ils font l’expérience, ils glorifient Dieu de votre obéissance dans la profession de l’Évangile de Christ, et de la libéralité de vos dons envers eux et envers tous;
14 ils prient pour vous, parce qu’ils vous aiment à cause de la grâce éminente que Dieu vous a faite.
15 Grâces soient rendues à Dieu pour son don ineffable!

1 For as touching the ministering to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you:
2 For I know the forwardness of your mind, for which I boast of you to them of Macedonia, that Achaia was ready a year ago; and your zeal hath provoked very many.
3 Yet have I sent the brethren, lest our boasting of you should be in vain in this behalf; that, as I said, ye may be ready:
4 Lest haply if they of Macedonia come with me, and find you unprepared, we (that we say not, ye) should be ashamed in this same confident boasting.
5 Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the brethren, that they would go before unto you, and make up beforehand your bounty, whereof ye had notice before, that the same might be ready, as a matter of bounty, and not as of covetousness.
6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
9 (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever.
10 Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)
11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.
12 For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;
13 Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men;
14 And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of God in you.
15 Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.
