1 Pou chèf sanba yo. Se sou enstriman akòd pou yo jwe mizik la. Se yon sòm David. (61:2) Bondye, tande jan m’ap rele nan pye ou! Koute lè m’ap lapriyè ou!
2 Kè m’ kase, mwen lwen lakay mwen. M’ap rele ou. Tanpri, mennen m’ al chache pwoteksyon sou wòch kote mwen pa ka rive a.
3 Paske, se ou k’ap pwoteje m’, se ou k’ap pran defans mwen kont lènmi m’ yo.
4 Mwen ta renmen pase tout lavi m’ lakay ou. Mwen ta renmen rete kache anba zèl ou.
5 Bondye, ou tande pwomès mwen fè. Ban mwen sa ou bay tout moun ki respekte non ou lan.
6 Mete kèk jou sou lavi wa a: Se pou l’ viv lontan lontan ankò.
7 Se pou l’ gouvènen tout tan devan Bondye. Bondye va fè l’ wè jan li renmen li, jan li toujou kenbe pawòl li: Bondye va pwoteje l’.
8 Konsa, mwen p’ap janm sispann chante pou ou. Chak jou m’a fè sa m’ te pwomèt ou a.

1 Au chef des chantres. Sur instruments à cordes. De David. O Dieu! écoute mes cris, Sois attentif à ma prière!
2 Du bout de la terre je crie à toi, le coeur abattu; Conduis-moi sur le rocher que je ne puis atteindre!
3 Car tu es pour moi un refuge, Une tour forte, en face de l’ennemi.
4 Je voudrais séjourner éternellement dans ta tente, Me réfugier à l’abri de tes ailes. -Pause.
5 Car toi, ô Dieu! tu exauces mes voeux, Tu me donnes l’héritage de ceux qui craignent ton nom.
6 Ajoute des jours aux jours du roi; Que ses années se prolongent à jamais!
7 Qu’il reste sur le trône éternellement devant Dieu! Fais que ta bonté et ta fidélité veillent sur lui!
8 Alors je chanterai sans cesse ton nom, En accomplissant chaque jour mes voeux.

Psalm 61
1 Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.
2 From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
3 For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.
4 I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.
5 For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.
6 Thou wilt prolong the king’s life: and his years as many generations.
7 He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him.
8 So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.
