1 Kònen twonpèt sou mòn Siyon an! Bay siyal la sou mòn ki apa pou Bondye a! Se pou tout moun nan peyi Jida a tranble, paske jou Seyè a pa lwen rive. L’ap pwoche.
2 Se va yon jou ki pral fè nwa kou lank, ak syèl la plen nwaj nwa, yon jou kote nwaj nwa ak pousyè pral kouvri latè. Yon lame krikèt ap vanse. Yo gwonèg anpil! Tankou solèy la lè l’ap leve, y’ap kouvri mòn yo. Se bagay nou poko janm wè, bagay nou p’ap janm wè ankò, jouk sa kaba.
3 Tankou dife, yo devore tou sa ki devan yo. Yo pa kite anyen kote yo pase. Anvan yo te vini, peyi a te tankou yon ti paradi. Lè yo fin pase, li tounen yon dezè san anyen ladan l’. Anyen pa chape anba dan yo.
4 Yo tankou chwal, yo kouri tankou chwal sèl.
5 Lè y’ap soti sou tèt mòn yo, yo fè yon bri tankou cha lagè k’ap pase, tankou dife nan pay chèch. Yo mache an ran tankou yon gwo lame tou pare pou goumen.
6 Lè y’ap pwoche, tout moun pran tranble. Figi tout moun dekonpoze.
7 Yo atake tankou vanyan sòlda. Yo moute sou miray yo tankou sòlda k’ap fè lagè. Yo mache dwat devan yo, yo pa vire ni adwat ni agoch.
8 Yonn pa antrave lòt nan mach yo. Yo chak ap swiv chemen pa yo. Yo janbe tou sa yo mete pou bare yo. Anyen pa rete yo.
9 Yo pran lavil la pou yo. Yo kouri moute sou miray yo. Yo moute anwo kay yo, yo pase antre nan fennèt yo tankou vòlò.
10 Tè a souke lè y’ap mache vini. Syèl la tranble. Solèy la ak lalin lan vin tou nwa, zetwal yo pa klere nan syèl la ankò.
11 Seyè a ap mache alatèt lame li a: l’ap pase yo lòd. Lame a anpil. Yo gwonèg: Y’ap fè sa li ba yo lòd fè a. Ala yon gwo jou se jou Seyè a! Se yon jou pou moun pè tout bon vre. Ki moun ki va rete kanpe apre jou sa a?
12 Seyè a pale, li di: -Menm koulye a, tounen vin jwenn mwen ak tout kè nou! Fè jèn, kriye kont kò nou, plenn sò nou!
13 Se pa rad sou nou pou nou chire, se kè nou menm pou nou chire pou fè wè jan nou nan lapenn. Tounen vin jwenn Seyè a, Bondye nou an. Li gen bon kè anpil, li gen pitye pou moun. Li pa fache fasil, li p’ap janm sispann renmen nou. Li toujou pare pou padonnen nou.
14 Sa ki konnen? Li ka chanje lide, li ka padonnen nou. Li ka ban nou benediksyon. N’a gen grenn jaden ak diven ankò pou nou fè ofrann bay Seyè a, Bondye nou an!
15 Kònen twonpèt sou mòn Siyon an! Bay lòd pou tout moun fè jèn! Mande pou tout moun reyini!
16 Sanble pèp la. Pare tout moun pou fè sèvis. Sanble vye granmoun yo! Reyini tout timoun yo, menm timoun ki nan tete. Ata moun ki fenk marye yo, se pou yo kite kay yo vini tou.
17 Nan lakou ki separe gwo pòtay tanp lan ak lotèl la, se pou prèt yo, sèvitè Seyè a, pran kriye. Se pou yo di: Pitye, Seyè, pitye pou pèp ou a. Pa kite moun lòt nasyon yo pase moun pa ou yo nan betiz pou fè yo wont, pou yo ta di: Kote Bondye yo a?
18 Lè sa a, Seyè a fè wè jan li renmen peyi li a. Li fè pèp li a gras.
19 Li reponn, li di pèp la konsa: -Bon! Mwen pral ban nou ble, diven ak lwil fre. N’ap gen tou sa n’a bezwen. Mwen p’ap janm kite moun lòt nasyon yo pase nou nan betiz ankò.
20 Mwen pral chase lame krikèt la byen lwen nou. Wi, lame krikèt ki te soti nan nò a. M’ap voye yo ale nan dezè a, kote ki pa gen dlo, kote ki pa gen pyebwa. Tèt lame krikèt yo va pran direksyon lanmè ki sou bò solèy leve a, lanmè Mouri a. Ke lame krikèt yo va pran direksyon lanmè ki sou bò solèy kouche a, lanmè Mediterane a. Kadav yo pral pouri, y’ap bay move sant. Seyè a fè anpil bagay pou nou.
21 Nou menm jaden yo, nou pa bezwen pè ankò. Fè fèt, fè kè nou kontan, paske Seyè a fè anpil pou nou!
22 Nou menm zannimo nan savann yo, nou pa bezwen pè ankò: jaden zèb yo pral pouse byen bèl, pyebwa yo pral donnen, pye fig frans yo ak pye rezen yo pral bay bèl rekòt.
23 Nou menm, moun Siyon yo, fè fèt! Fè kè nou kontan poutèt sa Seyè a, Bondye nou an, fè pou nou. Li ban nou kantite lapli nou te bezwen nan sezon lotòn. Li ban nou gwo lapli loraj ak lapli nan sezon prentan, jan l’ te konn fè l’ anvan an.
24 Glasi yo pral plen grenn. Barik yo pral plen diven ak lwil fre.
25 M’a ban nou ankò tou sa nou te pèdi pandan tout tan bann gwo krikèt yo, ti krikèt yo, ti chini yo ak gwo chini yo te devore rekòt nou yo. Se mwen menm ki te voye lame sa a sou nou.
26 Nou pral manje plen vant nou. N’a fè lwanj Seyè a, Bondye nou an, ki te fè tout bèl bagay sa yo pou nou. Yo p’ap janm pase pèp mwen an nan betiz ankò.
27 Lè sa a, n’a konnen mwen kanpe la nan mitan pèp Izrayèl la. Se mwen menm Seyè a ki Bondye nou. Pa gen tankou m’. Yo p’ap janm pase pèp mwen an nan betiz ankò.
28 Apre sa, m’a vide lespri mwen sou tout moun. Pitit gason ak pitit fi nou yo va bay mesaj m’a ba yo. Granmoun nou yo va fè rèv. Jennmoun nou yo va gen vizyon.
29 Wi, lè sa a, m’a vide lespri m’ sou tout moun, ata sou moun k’ap travay lakay nou, fi kou gason.
30 M’apral fè mèvèy parèt nan syèl la ak sou latè a. Va gen san, dife ak gwo nwaj lafimen.
31 Solèy la pral vin tou nwa, lalin lan pral vin wouj kou san anvan jou Seyè a va rive. Aa! Se va yon gwo jou, yon jou k’ap fè moun tranble.
32 Lè sa a, tout moun ki va rele nan pye Seyè a va sove. Paske sou mòn Siyon ak nan lavil Jerizalèm va gen moun ki va chape, jan Seyè a te di l’ la. Wi, tout moun Seyè a va chwazi, se yo ki va chape.

1 Sonnez de la trompette en Sion! Faites-la retentir sur ma montagne sainte! Que tous les habitants du pays tremblent! Car le jour de l’Éternel vient, car il est proche,
2 Jour de ténèbres et d’obscurité, Jour de nuées et de brouillards, Il vient comme l’aurore se répand sur les montagnes. Voici un peuple nombreux et puissant, Tel qu’il n’y en a jamais eu, Et qu’il n’y en aura jamais dans la suite des âges.
3 Devant lui est un feu dévorant, Et derrière lui une flamme brûlante; Le pays était auparavant comme un jardin d’Éden, Et depuis, c’est un désert affreux: Rien ne lui échappe.
4 A les voir, on dirait des chevaux, Et ils courent comme des cavaliers.
5 A les entendre, on dirait un bruit de chars Sur le sommet des montagnes où ils bondissent, On dirait un pétillement de la flamme du feu, Quand elle consume le chaume. C’est comme une armée puissante Qui se prépare au combat.
6 Devant eux les peuples tremblent, Tous les visages pâlissent.
7 Ils s’élancent comme des guerriers, Ils escaladent les murs comme des gens de guerre; Chacun va son chemin, Sans s’écarter de sa route.
8 Ils ne pressent point les uns les autres, Chacun garde son rang; Ils se précipitent au travers des traits Sans arrêter leur marche.
9 Ils se répandent dans la ville, Courent sur les murailles, Montent sur les maisons, Entrent par les fenêtres comme un voleur.
10 Devant eux la terre tremble, Les cieux sont ébranlés, Le soleil et la lune s’obscurcissent, Et les étoiles retirent leur éclat.
11 L’Éternel fait entendre sa voix devant son armée; Car son camp est immense, Et l’exécuteur de sa parole est puissant; Car le jour de l’Éternel est grand, il est terrible: Qui pourra le soutenir?
12 Maintenant encore, dit l’Éternel, Revenez à moi de tout votre coeur, Avec des jeûnes, avec des pleurs et des lamentations!
13 Déchirez vos coeurs et non vos vêtements, Et revenez à l’Éternel, votre Dieu; Car il est compatissant et miséricordieux, Lent à la colère et riche en bonté, Et il se repent des maux qu’il envoie.
14 Qui sait s’il ne reviendra pas et ne se repentira pas, Et s’il ne laissera pas après lui la bénédiction, Des offrandes et des libations pour l’Éternel, votre Dieu?
15 Sonnez de la trompette en Sion! Publiez un jeûne, une convocation solennelle!
16 Assemblez le peuple, formez une sainte réunion! Assemblez les vieillards, Assemblez les enfants, Même les nourrissons à la mamelle! Que l’époux sorte de sa demeure, Et l’épouse de sa chambre!
17 Qu’entre le portique et l’autel Pleurent les sacrificateurs, Serviteurs de l’Éternel, Et qu’ils disent: Éternel, épargne ton peuple! Ne livre pas ton héritage à l’opprobre, Aux railleries des nations! Pourquoi dirait-on parmi les peuples: Où est leur Dieu?
18 L’Éternel est ému de jalousie pour son pays, Et il épargne son peuple.
19 L’Éternel répond, il dit à son peuple: Voici, je vous enverrai du blé, Du moût et de l’huile, Et vous en serez rassasiés; Et je ne vous livrerai plus à l’opprobre parmi les nations.
20 J’éloignerai de vous l’ennemi du nord, Je le chasserai vers une terre aride et déserte, Son avant-garde dans la mer orientale, Son arrière-garde dans la mer occidentale; Et son infection se répandra, Sa puanteur s’élèvera dans les airs, Parce qu’il a fait de grandes choses.
21 Terre, ne crains pas, Sois dans l’allégresse et réjouis-toi, Car l’Éternel fait de grandes choses!
22 Bêtes des champs, ne craignez pas, Car les plaines du désert reverdiront, Car les arbres porteront leurs fruits, Le figuier et la vigne donneront leurs richesses.
23 Et vous, enfants de Sion, soyez dans l’allégresse et réjouissez-vous En l’Éternel, votre Dieu, Car il vous donnera la pluie en son temps, Il vous enverra la pluie de la première et de l’arrière-saison, Comme autrefois.
24 Les aires se rempliront de blé, Et les cuves regorgeront de moût et d’huile.
25 Je vous remplacerai les années Qu’ont dévorées la sauterelle, Le jélek, le hasil et le gazam, Ma grande armée que j’avais envoyée contre vous.
26 Vous mangerez et vous vous rassasierez, Et vous célébrerez le nom de l’Éternel, votre Dieu, Qui aura fait pour vous des prodiges; Et mon peuple ne sera plus jamais dans la confusion.
27 Et vous saurez que je suis au milieu d’Israël, Que je suis l’Éternel, votre Dieu, et qu’il n’y en a point d’autre, Et mon peuple ne sera plus jamais dans la confusion.
28 Après cela, je répandrai mon esprit sur toute chair; Vos fils et vos filles prophétiseront, Vos vieillards auront des songes, Et vos jeunes gens des visions.
29 Même sur les serviteurs et sur les servantes, Dans ces jours-là, je répandrai mon esprit.
30 Je ferai paraître des prodiges dans les cieux et sur la terre, Du sang, du feu, et des colonnes de fumée;
31 Le soleil se changera en ténèbres, Et la lune en sang, Avant l’arrivée du jour de l’Éternel, De ce jour grand et terrible.
32 Alors quiconque invoquera le nom de l’Éternel sera sauvé; Le salut sera sur la montagne de Sion et à Jérusalem, Comme a dit l’Éternel, Et parmi les réchappés que l’Éternel appellera.

1 Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the Lord cometh, for it is nigh at hand;
2 A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.
3 A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them.
4 The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run.
5 Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array.
6 Before their face the people shall be much pained: all faces shall gather blackness.
7 They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks:
8 Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded.
9 They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief.
10 The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining:
11 And the Lord shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the Lord is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?
12 Therefore also now, saith the Lord, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:
13 And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the Lord your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.
14 Who knoweth if he will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him; even a meat offering and a drink offering unto the Lord your God?
15 Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly:
16 Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet.
17 Let the priests, the ministers of the Lord, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O Lord, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God?
18 Then will the Lord be jealous for his land, and pity his people.
19 Yea, the Lord will answer and say unto his people, Behold, I will send you corn, and wine, and oil, and ye shall be satisfied therewith: and I will no more make you a reproach among the heathen:
20 But I will remove far off from you the northern army, and will drive him into a land barren and desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his hinder part toward the utmost sea, and his stink shall come up, and his ill savour shall come up, because he hath done great things.
21 Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the Lord will do great things.
22 Be not afraid, ye beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree beareth her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength.
23 Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.
24 And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with wine and oil.
25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.
26 And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.
27 And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the Lord your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.
28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.
30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.
31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord come.
32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the Lord hath said, and in the remnant whom the Lord shall call.
